BRAGG, Robert John "Jack"
The Chronicle Herald, Halifax, Nova Scotia, March 5, 2019
March 5, 1958 - March 1, 2019
.
It is with much love and profound sadness that the family of Robert John "Jack" Bragg of Hammonds Plains, formerly from Port aux Basques, NL, passed away suddenly in Cancun while taking a celebratory vacation from the realities of life on March 1st at the age of 60. Loving husband of Rose-Lee (House) Bragg; (39 years) proud father of Danny (Shannon) and Nikki (Robbie) Anderson; and extremely proud Grampy of Hailey, Charley and Benjamin. Jack was predeceased by his sister, Ruby Matheson; and father-in-law, Frank House. Leaving to mourn with many fond memories and love are his parents, Bob and Shirley Bragg, Port aux Basques, N.L.; sister, Cindy (John) Bragg Pesco, Idaho; his mother-in-law, Joan House; sisters- in-law, Pauline (Terry) Samms, Carol (Don) Welshman, Barbara (Craig) Osmond; brother-in-law, Robert (Maxine) House; nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends.

Jack was a self-made man. He was an entrepreneur for many years, first with his father, he then owned and operated a pool hall and a video store in Port aux Basques and for many years was an independent contractor with Farmers Dairy. In his semi-retired years, Jack was a school bus operator for Stock Transportation. Jack's other career, but not full-time, was a Harley Davidson driver, Jack loved his motorbikes. He loved a good game of cards and hated to lose! Jack was also an avid Boston Bruins fan and not so good golfer. What he lacked in golfing skill he made up for in playing washer toss at his beloved summer home at Beech Brook Campground.

Jack loved life! He and Rose-Lee had many adventures, from travel, biking, to quiet times with family and friends. Jack had an infectious smile and hearty laugh that will be greatly missed by his loving family, friends and his Beech Brook family. A Celebration of Life will take place March 7th in the Lions Club in Sackville. Service will start at 2 p.m. followed by reception from 3-4 p.m. Additional service will take place in Port aux Basques at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to QEII Health Sciences Centre/QEII Foundation or SPCA
