Steve was so very loved and respected by his many friends and family throughout his short and very tough life, living with a very difficult and hard to manage disease, Diabetes Type 1 from the age of 16. It controlled every aspect of his life and he did the best he could while raising his precious daughter, Taygen (16) who now resides in Fort McMurray with her mother, Candice Richards. He was so happy to have spent his last week with her when she arrived in Nova Scotia to see him. It was his final wish before stopping dialysis this past week. An avid and excellent soccer player in his younger years, he accumulated many medals and accolades for his skills and sportsmanship in the field. His daughter, Taygen, is quickly following in his footsteps as a great athlete, excelling in soccer as well. He was an amazing dad to her and lived as long as he has particularly to be there for her into her teens.
