BENNETT, David
The Chronicle Herald, Halifax, September 29, 2018

Age 64, formerly of Halifax, and Corner Brook, N.L., passed peacefully September 3, 2018 surrounded by family in Windsor, Ont. David is survived by Vicki Pringle, partner of 22 years; first wife, Barbara Rowsell; sons, Paul, Robert, Matthew Bennett and James Borden; grandchildren, Shayna, Kyle (Robert), Alexander, Cayla (Matthew) and Ava (James); stepchildren, Valerie and Jeff Pringle; sister, Mary (Greg White); and brother, Paul. Predeceased by parents, Harold and Hilda Benoit; brother, Joe; and sister, Gloria. Also survived by birth mother, Theresa Sheppard (Rowe); half-siblings, Mary, Terry, Gerry, California; Rodney, Nova Scotia; and Melinda, Newfoundland. David was a caring and loving partner, father and grandfather. His greatest loves were being by the water, close to nature, just driving the countryside and travelling. He had many types of jobs throughout his lifetime, starting at age 10 until he ended up in construction in Toronto, working alongside his son Matthew. Service to be held October 6th, at 11 a.m. in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, Halifax. Burial to take place in Corner Brook, N.L. on October 8th, in Mount Patricia Cemetery, after visitation from 1 - 2 p.m. in Fillatre Funeral Home, 4 Street, Mark's Cove. HUTCHINSON, Bonnie Lynn (Cameron)

The family, with great sadness, announces the passing of Bonnie Lynn Hutchinson of Cole Harbour, in Dartmouth General Hospital on Thursday, August 16, 2018. Born February 14, 1951 in Oshawa, Ont., she was the daughter of Shirley Clarke (Abriel) and stepfather, Russell Clarke of Pope's Harbour and Little Bay East, N.L. At a young age, Bonnie lived in Little Bay East, Fortune Bay, N.L. At the age of eight, she moved to Dartmouth, McNabs Island with Nan Power. Bonnie attended school in Eastern Passage Shearwater and graduated from Dartmouth High School in 1969. Not having any money to go to university she applied for a summer job with the Department of National Defense at the age of 18 years. She was hired as Sky 2 (typist) at Boson School, Windsor Park, Halifax. Later, in 1974 she moved to Ottawa to National Defense Headquarters as secretary to Construction Engineering Canadian Forces. She moved back to Halifax in 1978 and started to work at Maritime Command Headquarters Dockyard and served as secretary for two admirals. In 1984, she moved to Maritime Air Group and was again secretary to Chief of Staff (visits and ceremonial 2nd Air Operations Fixed Wing). In 1987, she moved to Civilian Personal Dockyard as Administrative Assistant to Human Relations Officer; retiring from the public service in 2005, S-90 HMCS Stadacona Halifax. After retiring, to keep busy she worked part-time for Treaty Gas and Cole Harbour Place. After full retirement in 2005, she volunteered her services for the Canadian Forces Veterans at Royal Canadian Legion Centennial Branch 160, serving as treasurer and secretary. Along the way, Bonnie made a lot of friends and travelled to a lot of places in Canada and the USA with her best friend and husband Terry, living her life to the fullest. Bonnie was a strong, independent woman who loved to help others to believe in themselves.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 24 years, Terry; and her brother, Sheldon Clarke; adopted sister and girlfriend, Jan Galipeau (Pat); adopted nieces, Julie (Frank), Joanna (Andrew); stepdaughters, Tanya Hutchinson (Rob) and grandchildren Catie, Rylie and Liam; Sara Hutchinson (Jeff) and grandchildren Jessica, Traci and Tiana; Amy Hutchinson (Jamos), Taiwan; and Amanda Hutchinson (Stephen), Sydney, Australia; special best friends, Jil Trowsse, Evie Cole(Dave), Patty Gofton (Bobby), Gary Irvine (Tanya); Little Mom. Jessie Geddes, Don Brooking and her many friends at Branch 160 RCL.

Bonnie has requested no visitation or funeral service. She was a very private person and would like you all to remember her as a kind, thoughtful, caring person who dearly loved the veterans. She wishes her body to be donated to Dalhousie Science to help others. Donations in Bonnie's memory may be made to Royal Canadian Legion Centennial Branch 160 (Project 100 Fund) or to Dartmouth General Hospital (Start building fund). Our gratitue to the doctors and staff of 3 East Dartmouth General, Dr. Dan Rayson (oncologist) and staff of Dixon Centre, Dr. Allison Wiebe (family doctor) and staff of Dartmouth Medical Centre. You all helped Bonnie live longer and gave her the best support possible! We all appreciated everything you did for her. A Celebration of Life and Legion Tribue will be held in Branch 160 on September 29th at 2 p.m., and interment will take place at a later date.


ISAACS, Alphonsus "Randy" Rendall

With heavy hearts we are sad to announce the passing of Alphonsus Rendall "Randy" Isaacs, age 61. At Randy's time of passing he was surrounded in love by his family, in his home on September 6th, 2018. Randy is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Lucy Isaacs. Randy is survived by his loving wife, Amanda of twelve years. They were married at their home in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia on July 15, 2006.

Randy was born September 1st, 1957 in St. Lawrence, NFLD. He retired from the Victoria General hospital in Halifax, NS after over twenty years of service. Randy was an avid volunteer with the Partners for Care program devoting many hours during his career both before and after his retirement to this cause that was very dear to him.

Randy is lovingly remembered by his wife Amanda; sons Matthew and Tyler; daughter Ashleigh; brothers Wayne (Glenna), Glenzon (Pauline), Joseph (Joan), Gordon (Linda) and sister Barbara (Earl); and loving nieces, nephews and other relatives. A Memorial Service will be held at Dartmouth Funeral home on Monday, September 10th, 2018 at 1:00pm with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care department of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.


KENDELL, Perry D.

Age 58, of Dartmouth, passed away on September 20, 2018 at home. Born in Burgeo, N.L. He was the son of the late Peter and Etta (Keeping) Kendell. PEDDLE, Albert Edward

It is with great sadness that the family of Albert E. Peddle, 69, of Broad Cove, announces his passing on Sept 10, 2018 in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Born on Bell Island, N.L., he was a son of late Blanche (Beckford) and Albert Peddle; sister, Gladys (Albert) Whalen. Albert is survived by his wife Mary, (MacDonald); daughter, Shelley O' Toole(Tom), and Anne MacLeod; grandchildren, Ronald and Mairiann O' Toole, sister, Emma Martin (Jim) of Bunyan's Cove, N.L., many MacDonald brother's and sisters in law; nieces and nephews. Albert worked in Toronto and as a mechanic in Baddeck following his move back to the East Coast. Mary and Shelley would like to express their sincere thanks to the professional and courteous staff of the Inverness Hospital, Life Flight and Halifax Infirmary 5.2 for their exemplary care provided to Albert and their thoughtfulness and attention to Albert and his families' needs during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place and visitation will be in Inverness Funeral Home on Friday, September 14, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Margarets of Scotland Broad Cove on Saturday, September 15th at 11:00 a.m. with Father Dan MacDonald officiating. SKINNER, Harold Roland

Age 95 of Halifax passed away Sept 21, 2018 in the VG Site, QEII. Born in St. Jacques, N.L., he was the son of William and Mary (Rose) Skinner. Harold worked as a teacher and principal in Halifax area schools and was very dedicated to St. John's Anglican Church and served on many committees. Survived by his son-in-law, Greg Bell; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife, Winnie; second wife, Ada (Roberts) and daughter, Linda Bell. Visitation Tuesday, September 25th from 4-7 p.m. in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, Halifax. Funeral Service Wednesday September 26th at 2:30 p.m. in St. John's Anglican Church, 2187 Larry Uteck Blvd., Rev. Randy Townsend officiating; burial in St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. John's Anglican Church. Family flowers only please.
