Friday, March 24, 1953 The Halifax Mail-Star, Halifax, N.S.
Word has been received in Halifax by her daughter, Gladys, of the death, March 22, in Burin, Nfld., of Mrs William Pyke at the age of 72 years. Surviving besides this daughter, are her husband; two sons, William and Wallace, both in Burin; three daughters, Alma (Mrs Mark Bolt), Annie (Mrs Norman Hollett), both of Burin; Alice (Mrs Harry Brown), Aylesford; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
