BAGGS, Wayne Warren
Passed away peacefully at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Saturday Sept. 11, 2004, Warren Baggs at the age of 48 years. Born in Port aux Basques, Wayne was the son of the late Samuel and Grace Baggs. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife, Dianne; children, Wendy (Darrell) and Wayne, all of Port aux Basques; brothers and sisters, Ruby (Larry) Bentley, Nathan (Debra) Baggs, Eileen (Roland) Gale, of Stephenville NL; brothers-in-law, David (Joanne) Kettle of Port aux Basques and Dennis Kettle of Halifax; sister-in-law, Denise (Dean) Kettle of Port aux Basques; mother-in-law, Jean Kettle, Port aux Basques; special friends, Rick and Valerie, Alex and Danielle Drover and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many special friends. He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Bertrum Kettle. Visitation took place on Sunday and Monday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday Sept. 14, 2004 at St. James' Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Hugh Fudge. Interment followed at St. James' Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Funeral arrangements in the care of East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux Basques, 695-2300.

SAMMS, Etta
age 79 years

Passed peacefully away at the Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, Etta Samms of Codroy age 79 years. She was predeceased by her husband Walter, July 4, 2002; daughter, Jacqueline Barry (Joe); sister, Myrtle Thomey (Bill); and brothers, John Samms (Nina) and Henry Samms. Left with fond and precious memories are her four daughters, Ann Wood (Don), Kingston, Ont., Sheila AuCoin (Frank), Fort McMurray, Alta., Marlene Courtney (Claude), Codroy and Debbie Downey (Terry), Great Codroy; her sister, Genevieve Hilliard (Walter), as well as 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Visitation took place on Wednesday, Sept. 15 and Thursday, Sept. 16 from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Codroy from where the funeral service was held on Friday, Sept. 17, 2004 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Evelyn Smith officiating. Interment followed in Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church. ROSE, Mary Ann
age 82

Passed peacefully away at the Calder Health Care Centre, Burgeo, on Sept. 23, 2004 Mary Ann Rose (nee Warren) age 82 of Grey River. Left to mourn, Thomas, her husband of 66 years; sons: Norman (Mary), Gerald (Marie), Reginald (Lucy), Benjamin (Jody), Thomas (Nada) and Garfield; daughters: Sarah Young (Joshua), Beatrice Young (Jacob), Mary Priddle (John), Minnie Young (Garfield), Susannah Young (Calvin), Myrtle Barter (Hiram), Louise McNamara (Louis), Marilyn Lushman (Wallace) and Frances Bateman (Clifford); 40 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild; brother Norman Warren (Louise) and a large circle of relatives and friends. Mary was predeceased by her grandsons, Norman and Gary and great-granddaughter, Emily. Funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2004 at the Church of the Transfiguration, Grey River.
