LOMOND, Thomas
Passed away at Channel Hospital, September 7, 1983 Thomas Lomond a World War I veteran (1914-1918) in his 88th year.
Left to mourn are daughters Winnie, Lucy (Mrs. James Kettle), Rosine (Mrs. Edward Kendall); sons Gerald, John, Freeman, brother Emanuel, 26 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
The remains rest at MacAuley's Funeral Home, funeral services were held on Saturday September 10 at St. Paul's Church with Rev. Lane officiating. Interment was made beside his wife at St. Paul's Cemetery, Grand Bay East

CARTER, Alexander
Aged 69
Passed away at the Western Menorial Regional
Hospital on November 20,1992, Alexander Carter in his 69th year.
He leaves to mourn wife Phoebe, four daughters Brenda Reid of Port Aux Basque,
Jessie ( Don ) Stowe of Pasadena, Dianne (Hubert) Butt of St. John's, Wanda
Carter of Port Aux Basques, Step daughter Louise Piercey of Vancouver, son-in-law
Larry Reid of Gander; three granchildren Paula, Jennifer and Andrea and a special
nephew Caleb Carter and his family of Port Aux Basques and a wide circle of
relatives and friends. His remains rested at Ford's Funeral Home. Funeral service
took place on Nov. 23, 1992 at St. James Anglican Church, officiated by Rev.
Eveleigh. Interment followed at St. James Cemetery under the direction of Ford's
Funeral Home.
