ANDERSON, Verena
(January 1, 1961 - October 21, 2015)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Verena Anderson announces her sudden passing at her residence on October 21, 2015 at the age of 54 years. Verena was the daughter of the late Harold & Dorothy Kettle. She was also predeceased by her husband Clayton and nephew Vance. She leaves to mourn with many loving and lasting memories her sister Valerie (Michael) Parsons, brother Vernon (Amanda) Kettle, niece Viktoria, special friend Norah Byron, her circle of friends Rex Hayman, Norma Murphy, Charlene Downey, Goldie Osmond, Marie Dowding, Sharon Osmond, Viola & Albert Parsons and a large circle of aunts, uncles and many cousins. In keeping with Verena's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life took place on November 4 from 7-9 pm from East Haven Funeral Home Inc., 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lorna May Buffett announces her passing at the Melville Gardens, Herring Cove, NS on October 23, 2015 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by her parents Ernest and Harriett Meade, husband Reginald of 52 years marriage, infant daughter Sandra, brother Jim; brothers-in-law Clarence Meade, Wallace Meade, George Meade, Norman Meade, Max Walters, Augustus Meade, and Willard Meade; sisters-in-law Mary Meade, Alma Meade, and Laura Meade. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Clarence (Marion) Meade, granddaughters Marlene and Peggy, great grandchildren Brady, Nicholas, Kelsey and Katie all of Halifax, NS, brother-in-law Eric Meade, sister-in-law Hazel Meade, Marie Meade, Dorothy Meade all of Fox Roost and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation took place on Monday, October 26 and Tuesday, October 27 from St. Augustine's Church in Margaree. Funeral services took place on Wednesday, October 28, 11 AM at St. Augustine's Anglican Church with Rev. Maryrose Colbourne officiating. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wilfred Burton announces his passing on Friday, October 9, 2015 at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Center with his family by his side. Born in Rose Blanche, he was the son of the late George and Elizabeth (Pink) Burton. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his son, Jeffrey Burton, Corner Brook, brothers, George (Annie May) Hayman, Codroy and Murdock (JoAnne) Hatcher, Harbour Le Cou and sister, Maggie (Wilburn) Rose, Rose Blanche, special friend, Dale Barnes, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Sandra (Samson) Burton, step father, Phillip Hatcher and mother and father in law, Mac and Rita Samson and brother in law, Albert Samson. In keeping with Wilfred's wishes, cremation has taken place under the care of Fillatre's Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Port- aux - Basques. A service of remembrance will be held on Monday, October 12 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Michael's and All Angels Church in Rose Blanche, officiated by Rev. Mary Rose Colbourne. CHAISSON, David Joseph
(March 17, 1950 - October 6, 2015)
Passed peacefully away at the DR. L.A. Miller Center after a brave and courageous battle with cancer, David Joseph Chaisson at the age of 65. Besides his father, the late Cornelius Chaisson, he was also predeceased by his sister Mary, brothers Peter, Paul and James "Jimmy", brothers-in-law Mickey Ryan, Wayne Wheeler and Roger Ryan, niece Deborah Ann, and great nephew Logan Michael Ryan. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his mother Mary, brothers and sisters Cecelia Ryan, Con Chaisson, Teresa "Susan" Ryan, Terry Chaisson, Morris Chaisson all of Codroy Valley, Karen (Dan) Rixon Port aux Basques, Wanda Wheeler Port aux Port, Joseph (Judy) Chaisson Cole Harbour, NS, Brian Chaisson Codroy Valley, Valerie (Leslie) Gerein Fort McMurray, AB, and Julia (Kevin) Lannigan St. John's, 20 nieces and nephews, and 14 great nieces and nephews, sister-in-law Lorraine Chaisson, plus a large circle of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Thank you to all family and friends for their support, prayers and best wishes. Special thanks to Linda White, caregiver for 20 years, whose support will never be forgotten. Further thanks to staff and friends at the Waterford Hospital, Rob Adams, case manager, all healthcare staff and volunteers at the Miller Center, cancer care staff at Eastern Health and good friends Paul and George. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Kevin Gale announces his passing at the Western memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook on October 27, 2015 at the age of 71 years. He was the son of the late Walter & Mary Catherine (nee Chaisson) Gale. He was also predeceased by his Wife Joan, brother Francis (Mame) Gale and niece Diana. He leaves to mourn with many loving memories his son Scott (Trina) Corner Brook and daughter Courtney, St. Johns, grandchildren Dawson & Kalan, brothers Brian (Lorna) Port au Port, and Melvin (Colleen) Millville, nieces and nephews Megan, Jeff, Mark, Stephanie, Melanie, Adam, Glenn and Corinne, plus a large circle of aunts, uncles, and many friends. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Shawn Philip Hatcher announce his passing on October 4, 2015 at Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 44 years. He was predeceased by his grandparents Norman (Hattie) Hatcher and Charles (Jane) Courtney; his aunts and uncles Eric Hatcher, James (Meta) Courtney, Cecil Hatcher, Emma Jane Francis, Clarence Hatcher and Philip Courtney; cousins Shane Hatcher and Robert Hatcher. He leaves to mourn his wife Amanda and step daughter Charlene at Cold Lake, Alberta; his parents Catherine and Gerald Hatcher; sister Shawnda (Walt) and his two nephews Jarrett and Tanner of Chalk River, Ontario; aunts and uncles Loretta Hatcher, Fred (Audrey) Hatcher, Cecil Hatcher, Kevin (Joyce) Hatcher, Norma (Sonny) Savoury, Ruby (Robert) Humphries, Minnie Hatcher, Charlotte Courtney, Garfield Francis; plus a large circle of cousins, his special cousin Clarissa Mcquarrie of Grimsby, Ontario and friends. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Kenneth Lemoine announces his passing at the Dr. Charles L. Legrow Health Centre on October 28, 2015 at the age of 93 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 73 years Mabel, children Hiram (Doris), Shirley, Joan (Wally), grandchildren Gerald (Tracy) of Ontario, Bruce (Linda), Derek of Port aux Basques, great grandchildren Brittany (Josh) of Ontario, Felicia (Jeff), Chloe and Cameron of Port aux Basques, brother Wilfred (Frances) of Rose Blanche, sisters (Hazel) of Labrador, Ruby (Gerald) of Glace Bay, Virginia (Cecil) of North Sydney and Bethina of Port aux Basques, brother-in-law Gorden of North Sydney, sisters-in-law Ethel, Margret of St. Catharines, Ontario and Joyce of St. John's, NL and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Augustus & Caroline Mullins; his three brothers-Ernest, George and Alfred (Bill) Mullins as well as his first wife Agnus. Leaving to celebrate his life his only child Paula Mullins-Richards (Howie); His Honey LoveJoy Weir and her children and families (Shawn, Al, Sherry); his wonderful grandchildren Scott Ewing and Liam Richards and their grandmother Peggy Fillier, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Rev. Madonna Boone will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from St. Luke's Anglican Church in Springdale. Born in Dartmouth Nova Scotia she is the daughter of the late Joseph and Emily Bellefontaine. She was also predeceased by her husband George Osmond, brothers Joseph Bellefontaine and Gerald Bellefontaine, brother-in-law Clarence (Mary) Blackburn and Nelson Osmond of Port aux Basques, sisters-in-law Lucy Temple, Hazel Downey and Rose Carter. She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories her son Robert (Sharon) Osmond of Port aux Basques, daughter Pamela Osmond of Port aux Basques, grandchildren Robert (Christina) Osmond Jr. And Sherry-Lynn (Daniel) D'Entremont both of Port aux Basques, great grandchildren Sasha, Jeremy and Eamon, sisters-in-law Julia Walters and Vivian Chaulk all of Port aux Basques, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marjorie Joyce Osmond announces her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on October 13, 2015 at the age of 83. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Debbie Lawrence (Bill), Edmonton, Alberta, Mary Cole (Ivan) Port au Port, Newfoundland and son Lloyd (Beverly) Bradford, Ontario, Grandchildren: Brent, Tracy, Craig, Blair; great-grandchildren: Hannah, Nathan, Merrick, Tripp, Mason, Logan and Kayleah; sisters: Minnie Pineo, New Germany and Irene Gentmantel (Charlie), Quebec and a large number of nieces, nephews, and many friends. It is with heavy hearts that the families of Robert Clayton (Bobby) Osmond announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Friday, October 23rd, 2015, at the age of 47 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife: Lisa nee Sheppard, his son: Robbie Osmond (Sarah Bromley), his parents: Una & Cecil Osmond, his siblings: Gary (Margaret) Osmond, & Thomas (Madonna) Osmond, his mother-in-law: Mrs. Janet Sheppard, Bobby was predeceased by his uncle: Henry Payne, & father-in-law: Warren Sheppard, also leaving to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family & friends, also a special group whom meant so much to Bobby where the "Western Kings Major Midgets" Hockey Team.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Dr. Charles L. Legrow Health Centre Mary A Simms (formally of Pass Island) in her 94th year. She was predeceased by her parents John and Hannah Touchings, her beloved husband, Fred (deceased 1964), her brother Cyril and sister Myrtle. Leaving to mourn with wonderful memories her children, Fred (Kathleen), Cyril (Sadie), John (Ann), Dennis (Doris), Gordon (RoseMarie), & Minnie (Kevin); her devoted sister Beatrice, Grandchildren, Jason, Bradley, Jodie, Bruce, Kelly, Deon, Alicia, Paul, Stacie, Holly & Justin, 14 great- grandchildren, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and cousins. WALL, Augustine Albert - Peacefully at the Niagara Health System - St. Catharines Site, on Friday, October 23, 2015. Gus Wall of St. Catharines in his 88th year. Husband of the late Cecilia (March). Dear father of Pat Mills, Tony (Debbie), Wayne, John (Kathy), Barb (Roy Dale), Andrew, Gary (Shelley), Chris (Sherry Bishop), Randy (Michelle), Tracy (Sean Pearce) and the late Donna, Gussie and babies Andrew and Timothy. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband, Albert Wiscombe, her only son, Charlie (Kayla O'Quinn), her sisters and brothers, Genevieve Pilgrim (Dave), Elizabeth Benoit, Wilfred (Brenda) Luedee, Bob (Sally) Luedee, Lucy (Donald) Gillis, Kevin (Beulah) Luedee, Mary MacNeil-Luedee (Bob) and Terri Luedee, father and step mother-in law, Charles & Carol Wiscombe, brothers and sisters-in-laws, Glenn (Linsey) Wiscombe, Joyce (Clarence) Myres and Dave (Peggy) Wiscombe, many nieces and nephews and large circle of family and friends Helen was predeceased by sister, Bride Gale and brother, Gerard Luedee, brother-in-law's, Gareth Gale, Charlie Pilgrim, Fintan Benoit, Wayne MacNeil and Wayne Muise, nephew, Dwayne Benoit, niece, Tracey Luedee, mother-in-law, Della Margaret Wiscombe and step-mother-in law, Alice Wiscombe. The family received friends at the Church of Precious Blood in St. Andrews on Monday, October 19 beginning at 2:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, October 20, where the funeral mass was held on Wednesday, October 21 at 11:00 with Father Lee Lainey officiating. In keeping with Helen's wishes cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lupus Newfoundland and Labrador, PO Box 8121, STN A, Kenmount Road, St.John's, NL, A1B 3M9. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Fillatre's Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Port-aux-Basques. Words of comfort may be sent to the family by visiting ww.fillatre.ca
