ROSS HARVEY
March 14,1960 - Oct. 3, 2008

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ross Harvey of Isle aux Morts announce his passing on Friday, Oct. 3, 2008 at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques at the age of 48 years. Born in Port aux Basques he was the son of the late William Sr. and Agnes Harvey. He was predeceased by his brother, Bill Harvey and sister-in-law, Margaret Martin. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his family: wife, Elizabeth of 21 years marriage; daughters, Crystal (Adam Tallon), Thunder Bay, Ont., Ashley, Alana (Dave Keeping) and Jenna, all of Isle aux Morts; mother-in-law, Elizabeth (Robyle) Dominque and father-in-law, James Shaw; brothers, Ephriam (Sabrina), Douglas (Elizabeth), Gary (Ellen), Rex (Trudy) all of Isle aux Morts and Roger (Sylvia) of Thunder Bay, Ont.; sisters Evelyn (Albert) Harvey and Isabelle (Lockland) Keeping all of Isle aux Morts; sisters-in-law Louise Harvey, Isle aux Morts, Sandra (Neil) Olsen, St. Catherine's, Ont., Anne (Gordon) Smith, Thunder Bay, Ont.; brothers-in-law, Robert (Marlene) Shaw, Thunder Bay, Ont., James (Joanne) Shaw, Surrey, B.C., and a large circle of aunts, nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation took place on Saturday, Sunday and Monday at Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Isle aux Morts. Funeral service took place on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2 p.m. at Holy Spirit Anglican Church, officiated by Rev. Duncan Granter, which was followed by cremation. COREY NATHAN GALE
Sept. 23, 1992 - Oct. 7, 2008

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Corey Nathan Gale announce his passing on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008 at the age of 16 years. Corey was predeceased by his grandmother Edith Stein. Born in Port aux Basques, he was the youngest of four boys. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories, his Mom and Dad Gaby and Dom, three brothers Alex, Eric and Darcy, grandfather Walter Stein, grandmother Marie Gale, grandfather Elmer Gale and a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many, friends. Corey was a very active member of his community. Standing at six foot two inches tall he was involved in all school sports, drama and cadets. His warm smile and good sense of humour will be missed by the lives of those that he touched everyday. Visitation took place on Friday and Saturday at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church in Upper Ferry. The funeral Mass took place on Saturday, Oct. 11,2 p.m. from St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, officiated by Father Lee Lainey. Internment followed at Mount St. Thomas Roman Catholic Cemetery. FORD, ERIC ROY
Port aux Basques, NL
Mr. Eric Roy Ford
passed peacefully away, surrounded by his family at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, Ont., on Friday, Oct. 17, 2008 at the age of 73 years. Born in Port aux Basques, Nfld., on Feb. 7, 1935, he was the son of the late Augustus and Martha Ford. Mr. Ford was an employee of CN Rail and Marine Atlantic and retired in 1990 after 37 years of service. He was actively involved in Wesley United Church, Royal Orange Lodge and Loyal Black Preceptory. He immensely enjoyed time spent with his friends and formers co-workers sitting on the government wharf. Left to mourn his passing and cherish is his life are his wife Annabelle, daughters Brenda (Les Day) of Fonthill, Ont., Tina (Harrison) Thomas of St. Catherine's, Ont., and son Rev. Bill of Toronto, Ont., brother Rodney (Ida) of Port aux Basques, Nfld., sisters Lillian Young of Kitchener, Ont., and Marina (Reg) Reid of St John's, Nfld., sisters-in-law Theresa (Randolph) Clarke of Garnish, Nfld., Hilda Hayward of Port aux Basques, Nfld., Susan (Leonard) Eddy of Sibley's Cove, Nfld., brothers-in-law James (Eva) Hardbnan and Garfield (Colleen) Hardiman, both of St. Catherine's, Ont, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents he was predeceased by infant sister Hilda, brother Bill, niece Judy Ford, brothers-in-law Everett Young, Allan Bird and Charles Hayward and sister-in-law Marguerite Bird. Friends visited Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port aux Basques on Wednesday, Oct. 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service took place on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 2 p.m. from Wesley United Church. Officiated by Rev. Patricia Ritchie, Rev. Dr. Tony Newell and Rev. Bill Ford. Interment followed at Wesley United Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Wesley United Church, Port aux Basques. ELLEN DEBORAH LUSHMAN
It was with great sadness the family of the late Ellen Lushman announced her passing on Monday, Oct. 20, 2008 at 48 years. She was predeceased by her brother, Clyde Baggs, mother, Frances Baggs and father, Hughie Baggs. Ellen leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, husband, Stanley of 31 years marriage, sons, Jamie (Michelle) and Gavin (April), grandchildren Bailey, Brady and Gavin Jr., brother, Jim (Mary), sisters. Susanna (Bill), Mary Ann (Ward), Jessie (Garland), Minnie, Marion (Tom), Irene (Stan) and Thresa (Ralph), brothers-in-law Claude (Violet), Leslie (Barbara), Albert (Rosie) and Wallace (Marilyn), sister-in-law, Phyllis (Bill) and a large circle of family and friends. Funeral services took place at the Church of Transfiguration Grey River on Friday Oct. 24, 2008 officiated by Rev. Critchell. Interment followed at Grey River Anglican Cemetery.

COLLIER, James T.
1949-2008

It is with great sadness that the family of the late James T. Collier announce his passing at Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port Aux Basques on Tuesday, October 21st, 2008 at the age of 58 years. Friends visited Fillatre's Funeral Home in Port Aux Basques on Wednesday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, October 23rd at 10:00 am at St. James Anglican Church, officiated by Rev. Billard. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted.

BERNARD WILLIAM ALLEY
Sept. 22,1925 - Oct. 27, 2008

Passed away peacefully at Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre on Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, Bernard William Alley of Port aux Basques at the age of 83 years. Born at St. David's, Nfld., he was the son of the late Daniel and Adeline (nee Gillam) Alley. He was predeceased by his sisters, Olive Tapp (nee Alley), Mable Alley and brother, Byron Alley. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving family: wife, Geraldine of 56 years marriage; children, Diane Alley (Daniel Feltham), Gwen (Bill) Parsons, Barry (Verna) Alley and Tryphena Skinner (Chris Chin) all of Port aux Basques; grandchildren, Paul Hardy, Melissa Parsons, Devon Parsons, Dean Parsons, Dwayne Parsons, Samantha Alley, Hayden Alley (Trina), Bernadine Alley, Tyler Skinner (Jenine), Thomas Skinner and Scott Alley (Linda); brothers and sisters, Emma Hann, Cecil (Vernice) Alley, Theophilus Alley, Hughie (Kay) Alley and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. Cremation took place on Monday, Oct. 27, by Bernard's own request. A private family memorial service took place on Saturday, Nov. 1, 11 a.m. at East Haven Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Clayton Billard. Interment of ashes followed at St. James' Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Peter Terrance St. Croix announce his passing on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008 at the age of 49 years. He was predeceased by his brother, Randy St. Croix; sister, Gemma St. Croix; grandmother/guardian, Annie St. Croix and father-in-law, Roy MacIsaac. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving family: wife, Cynthia of 27 years marriage; daughter, Pamela (Kollyn Molloy); mother and father, Ita and Gareth St. Croix; brothers, Steve (Eileen) St. Croix, Bruce (Colleen) St. Croix, Leon St. Croix, Mitchell St. Croix and sister, Lucina (Gerald) Smith; mother-in-law, Lucy MacIsaac; brothers-in-law, Guy (Marilyn) MacIsaac, Leon (Paulette) MacIsaac, Cletus (Rhonda) MacIsaac, Edwin MacIsaac, Roy (Roxanne) MacIsaac; sisters-in-law Diane (Wilfred) Cormier, Darlene (Conrad) Gale and a large circle of extended family and many friends. Following cremation, visitation took place on Monday, Nov. 3 at St. Sylvester’s Roman Catholic Church in South Branch. The funeral mass took place on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 10:30 a.m. at St. Sylvester’s Roman Catholic Church, officiated by Father Maurice O’Quinn.
