PARSONS, Dorothy
1920 - 2005

Passed away at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Saturday, October 1, 2005, Dorothy Parsons of Rose Blanche at the age of 85 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas on Feb. 8, 1997; mother, Martha Jane; step-father, John Lemoine; and brother, Norman Stroud; step-brother, George Lemoine and step-sister, Martha Campbell. She leaves to mourn her loving children, Ronnie (Phillis) of Rose Blanche, Linda (Leon) Billard of Port au Choix, Harry, Edna (Junior) Bateman of Rose Blanche; three grandchildren, Paul (Viola) Parsons, Leroy, Pauline Billard; and great-grandchildren, Geneva and Stacy Parsons, Ryan Billard all of Rose Blanche; step-brother, Monford Lemoine of Louisburg, NS; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Stroud of North Sydney, Elizabeth Parson, Margaret Parson, Grace Parsons all of Rose Blanche, Violet Turner of Glace Bay; brother-in-law, George R. (Minnie) Parsons, Ralph (Ada) Parsons of Rose Blanche and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. She was also predeceased by her sisters-in-law, Annie Parsons, Edgar and Carrie Styles, Maria and Edward Munden; and brothers-in-law, Albert Parsons, Henry and Hannah Parsons, Eric Parsons and Albert Turner. Visitation took place at her daughter, Edna's residence in Rose Blanche. Funeral service took place on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005 at 2 p.m. at St. Michael's and All Angels Church Rose Blanche officiated by Rev. Ken Abbott. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Rd. Funeral arrangements in the care of East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux Basques, 695-2300.

WALL, Martin
1922 - 2005

Passed away at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre October 1, 2005, Martin Wall of Cape Ray at the age of 83 years. He is survived by his three sisters, Mary Hurley of St. John's, Melinda (James) Carter of Corner Brook, Geraldine (Bernard) Alley of Port aux Basques; sister-in-law, Edna Wall of Cape Ray, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by brothers, Joseph and Emmanuel Wall; sisters, Geneieve Garnier, Olive Spencer, Hazel Seaward and Catherine Tapp. Funeral Mass took place at 11 a.m. in St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church Upper Ferry, officiated by Father Maurice O'Quinn. Interment of ashes followed at Mt. St. Thomas RC Cemetery, Codroy Valley. Funeral arrangements in the care of East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux Basques, 695-2300.

HARDY, Edna
1939-2005

Passed away at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Monday, Oct. 3, 2005 Edna Hardy of Rose Blanche at the age of 66 years. Born at Diamond Cove Brook she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Amelia Collier. She is survived by her son, Robert (Wendy) Sutherland; and four grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie Billard of North Sydney, Cassie Grand of Halifax, Loretta (Liander) Gillard of Ontario, Bessie Price of Washington DC; brothers, Sandy Collier of Halifax, Wesley (Alice) Collier of Rose Blanche, Ronald Collier of Rose Blanche, Gerald (Marjorie) Collier of Port aux Basques; brother-in-law, Lloyd Major of North Sydney and a large circle of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph in 1994; brother, Howard (Tina); sister, Joyce Major; brother and sisters-in-law, Jack Billard, Margaret Collier, Charlie Grandy, Lloyd Rice; step-brothers and step-sisters, John (Rachel) Collier, Florence (Jack) Scarbough, Maude Clarence Fulliers, Annie (Johnie) Byers, Clara (Ernest) Carter, Stan (Susie) Collier, Wilson (Katie) Collier and Mable Hackett. Visitation was held at St. Michael's and All Angels Anglican Church, Rose Blanche on Tuesday evening and Wednesday. Funeral services took place at St. Michael's and All Angels Church at 2 p.m. on Oct. 6, 2005 officiated by Rev. Ken Abbott. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. Funeral arrangements in the care of East Haven Funeral Home Port aux Basques 695-2300.

MACNEIL, Mary Ellen
St. Andrew's, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Ellen MacNeil announces her passing on Friday, Oct. 7, 2005 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her 11 children, Ron (Emma) of Alberta, Albert of Ontario, Gerard (Mary) of Codroy Valley, Francis of British Columbia, David (Kay) of Prince Edward Island, Richard of Ontario, Jim (Beth) of Corner Brook, Catherine Kettle (Angus) of Codroy Valley, Bernice Gale (Isaac) of Codroy Valley, Bernadette Pearce of Halifax and Gerri MacNeil (Ron Delaney) of Ontario; 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Michael Chassion (Ethel); and sister, Peggy Zelch (Richard); very dear friends, Kathleen Chassion and Kay Gale, Codroy Valley, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert; and son, Eugene. Granting her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation was held on Monday, Oct. 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from the Roman Catholic Church of the Precious Blood, St. Andrew's followed by a memorial service on Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 10:30 a.m. Father Lee Lainey officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot. LEAMON, Lavinia Jean
1928-2005

Passed away peacefully at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005 Lavinia Jean Leamon of Port aux Basques at the age of 77 years. Born at Lolly Cove NL, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Smith. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her husband, Clarence of 53 years marriage; her sons, Clarence (Cathy) Leamon and Reginald Leamon of Port aux Basques; special person, Patti Lynn Neil (Darrell, Nicholas and Aaron); sister, Rhoda Colson, Corner Brook, NL; brothers-in-law, Charles (Maggie) Leamon, Thomas (Shirley) Leamon, Reginald (Phyllis) Leamon, Gordon Leamon all of Port aux Basques, NL and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Maria Mitchell; brothers-in-law, Jack Mitchell and Ollie Colson. Visitation took place on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral service took place on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005 at Wesley United Church officiated by Rev. Patricia Ritchie. Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery, Trans Canada Highway. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Louis Ralph Munden announce his passing at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Thursday, October 13, 2005in his 71 year. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his sisters, Mable Ferguson, Athens, ON, Audrey Crewe, (Leonard) Wentworth, NS, Linda Cave (Allen) Wainwright, AB, Elsie Keeping (Fred), Margo Hayman (George), Sandra King (Gus) all of Port aux Basques, NL; brother, Albert Munden (Eleanor), Dartmouth, NS as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Albert and Clara Munden (nee Billard); nephew, Larry Keeping and special friend Sadie Seaward. Visitation took place on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services were held on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005 at 2 p.m. from Wesley United Church with Rev. Ritchie officiating. Interment followed at Wesley United Cemetery. VAUTIER, Chesley
1934-2005

Passed away at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Saturday, October 15, 2005, Chesley Phillip Vautier of Fox Roost at the age of 71 years. Born at La Poile he was the son of the Late Adelaide and John Vautier. He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Lois (Nee Anderson) of 47 years marriage and three daughters, Delores (Gary) Walters of Fox Roost, Nina (Larry) Meade of Margaree and Joan (Paul) Comeau of Mt. Pearl. Grandchildren, Chelsea and Sheldon Walters, Randy and Daisy Meade; sisters and brothers, Kathleen LeRiche of Port aux Basques, Carrie (Max) Stone of Fox Roost, Mildred King, Sybil (Gerald) King of Burnt Island, Amy (Gilbert) Riles of Port aux Basques, Max (Clara) Vautier of Margaree, Gerald (Loretta) Vautier, Hubert (Shirley) Vautier of Fox Roost; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Vida (Wayne) Schwartz of Ontario, Reginald Anderson of Port aux Basques, Aubrey (Sharon) Anderson, Manasseh (Nancy) Anderson of Ontario, Edna Vautier of Fox Roost, Susan Thorne of  Burnt Islands and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Chelsea was also predeceased by his brothers, Walter and Albert; sister-in-law Mary Anderson; brothers-in-law, Jack King and Jack LeRiche. Visitation took place on Sunday 7-9 p.m. and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Tuesday, October 18, 2005, 2 p.m. at St. Augustine's Church, Margaree officiated by Rev. Hubert Vallis. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. Funeral arrangements in the care of East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux Basques, 695-2300.

THORNE, Garland
1938 - 2005

Passed peacefully away at Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on October 16, 2005, Garland Thorne of Marystown in his 67th year. Predeceased by Father Ralph. Leaving to mourn wife, Hilda; son, Garland (Laverne) of Winton, AL; daughter, Gloria of Brooks, AL; mother, Dorothy; and sister, Ruth of Burnt Islands; sister-in-law, Edith Marsden of Louisburg, NS; two grandchildren, Johnathon and Jasmine and a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. John Nicolle at St. Mary's Anglican Church in Marystown.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dorothy Carrie Ball announces her passing at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Thursday, Oct. 27/2005in her 78 year. She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories her loving husband, Matthew Ball; son, Vince (Florence) Fort St. John, BC; daughter, Angela (Edward) Downey, Labrador City; five grandchildren, Colin, Colleen, Roma, Trina and Renee; five great-grandchildren, Ian, Camryn, Raegon, Ethan and Samantha; sister, Emma Windsor, Isle aux Morts; sister-in-law, Pauline Harvey; brother-in-law, Frankie Johnson, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Louise Harvey (nee Frampton); brother, Vincent; sisters, Aveline Green (Freeman), Freda Johnson, Hilda Hannom and Linda Hare (Berkley). Visitation was held at the family residence in Isle aux Morts beginning Saturday, Oct. 29. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005 at 1 p.m. from the Holy Spirit Anglican Church with Rev. Hubert Vallis officiating. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery. Funeral services were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home Port aux Basques. The family guest book may be signed through our web site.

KETTLE, William
(1935 - 2005)

Passed peacefully away at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005 William Kettle at the age of 70 years. Born at Grand Bay West, he was the son of the late William T. and Agnes M. Kettle. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories, his brothers, Jonas (Lana) Kettle, Dartmouth NS and Israel Kettle, Port aux Basques NL; nephews, Jason (Tammy) Kettle, Jason York all of Brandford, ON; and niece, Florence Kettle. Aunts, Julie Spencer, of Moncton NB, Nellie Kettle of Port aux Basques NL, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and infant brother, Albert. Cremation took place and a memorial service was held on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Grand Bay officiated by Rev. Evelyn Smith. Interment of ashes followed at St. James' Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Funeral arrangements in the care of East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux Basques, 695-2300.
