CORNISH, Kenneth Ralph
Jul 3, 1950 - Nov 11, 2017
Kenneth Ralph Cornish
- It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of Kenneth Ralph Cornish, aged 67, on November 11, 2017.
Ken was born on July 3, 1950 in McCallum, Newfoundland to John and Charlotte Cornish.
Ken will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 43 years, Loretta Cornish and his proud children Tracy and Ashley (Vanessa). He will also be fondly remembered by his three adoring grandchildren, Jackson, Ashlynn and Kaedyn.
A dedicated, loving and hardworking man with a passion for craftsmanship, Ken could always be found building or fixing something ~ sitting still was not his forte. When he wasn't working he could be found logging hundreds of miles walking with his best friend, Phil Wells, visiting with his grandchildren, reminiscing with his sister Mary and niece Michelle Ryan or volunteering his time with the Anglican church.
Ken will forever be remembered as a kind hearted, genuine, caring and loving soul that would go above and beyond for anyone he crossed paths with.
Ken is pre-deceased by his father, John; mother, Charlotte; brother, Walt; sister, Gertrude; father-in-law, Alfred; mother-in-law, Josephine; brother-in-law, Clarence.
He will forever remain in the hearts of his siblings: Jim (Anne); Mary (Michelle); Jack (Maisie); Anne (Jerry); Etta (Colin); Greg; Evelyn; brother-in-law, Don (Betty); sisters-in-law: Mary; Marlene (Gord); Christine (Gary) in addition a large circle of friends and extended family.
The footprints and legacy that he leaves behind will forever hold a special mark in all of our hearts.
A special thanks to the dedicated nursing staff of Mills Memorial Hospital in Terrace.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. We respectfully request that any donations made in Ken's memory be forwarded to the Cathedral Church of St. Andrew (Anglican Church) in Prince Rupert.
