ADAMS, Harriet Jane
(October 11, 1914 - November 12, 2013)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harriet Jane Adams (nee Walters) announces her peaceful passing on Tuesday November 12, at the Long Term Care Unit of Legrow Health Center at the age of 99 years. Born at Burnt Islands, Harriet was the daughter of the late Isreal and Sarah Ann Walters. She was also predeceased by her first husband William Hardy Caines, second husband John William Hardy, third husband Ronald Adams, sons Amos and Minter, brothers; James, John William, Minter, Isreal (Emily), sister Violet Lefrense, son in law John Skinner, grandson Glen Skinner. She leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories her children Sarah Skinner Glace Bay NS, William (Mary) Caines Burnt Islands, Diane (Jim) Anderson, Rayleen (Ron) Sheaves all of Port aux Basques. Daughter in law Hilda Caines Port aux Basques, stepdaughter Arlene (John) Li Moncton NB, a large circle of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren. To honour her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will take place on Wednesday November 20, 1:30 PM at East Haven Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Patricia Ritchie. Interment will follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. Funeral arrangements were in the care of East Haven Funeral Home Port aux Basques, 695-2300. www.easthavenfuneralhome.com

CHANT, Bernice Lillian
(August 20, 1930 - November 27, 2013)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bernice Lillian Chant (nee Vautier) of Lapoile announces her peaceful passing on Wednesday November 27, at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 83 years. Born at Lapoile, Bernice was the daughter of the late Stanley and Florence Vautier, she was also predeceased by her husband Arthur Chant, daughters; Hazel Chant, Viola Bond, sisters; Dora Organ, Hazel Vautier, brother Rodney Vautier and brother in law William Anderson. She leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories her loving family; son in law Clifford Bond Lapoile, granddaughters; Paula (Scott) Keeping Burnt Islands with whom she resided, Denise Bond Lapoile, great grandchildren; Scotty and Victoria, brothers and sisters; Clarence (Velda) Vautier Lapoile, Bill (Barbara) Vautier, Elsie Anderson, brother in law Ralph Organ all of Port aux Basques. She also held a special place in her heart for Tony, Harriett, Carley, Tara, Joshua, Rozlyn, Tommy, Ethan, Leland, Ty, Gary and Nancy, Gary and Delores, Jessie, Wanda, Gary, Ashton, Bentley, Fred and Ada Keeping and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation took place on Thursday from 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home, then continued at St. George's Anglican Church in Burnt Islands on Friday, followed by a visitation on Saturday at St. Thomas Anglican Church in Lapoile from where the funeral service took place on Sunday December 1, at 9:00 AM officiated by Kay Short, Catechist, interment followed at the church cemetery. 1926-2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elsie Margaret Ingram announce her passing on Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Calder Health Care Centre in Burgeo at the age of 86 years.Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children, Clayton (Linda), Hector (Jocelyn), Brenda (Joel), Jenesta (Robert), Harry (Joyce), Patsy (Derek) and Jerry (Elaine); 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Sadie (Ken) and Theresa; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Elizabeth MacDonald, husband Harry, daughter Evelyn, sisters Hilda and Gladys, brothers Daniel, Louis and Ward and by grandson Vaughan. Friends may visit St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Burgeo on Saturday, Sunday & Monday from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 12 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Taylor officiating. Interment to follow at the Burgeo Community Cemetery.

LEAMON, Clarence Frank
(June 3, 1930 - November 2, 2013)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clarence Frank Leamon announces his passing on Saturday November 2, at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 83 years. Born in Port aux Basques, Clarence was the son of the late Charles and Gladys Leamon, he was also predeceased by his wife Jean and brother Reg (Phyllis) Leamon. Leaving to mourn with many fond and precious memories are his children Clarence Jr. (Cathy) Leamon, Reginald Leamon all Port aux Basques. Clarence will forever remain in the hearts of his brothers; Charles (Maggie ) Leamon, Tom (Shirley) Leamon, Gordon Leamon all of Port aux Basques and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many, many friends including his friends at the Long Term Care Unit of Legrow Health Center. Visitation took place on Sunday from 7-9 PM and on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Tuesday November 5, 2 PM at Wesley United Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Patricia Ritchie, interment followed at Wesley United Cemetery. Smith, Vince Leo
Died peacefully at the Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre on Wednesday, November 5, 2013, Vince Leo Smith in his 72nd year. Born in Milliville, Codroy Valley on December 6, 1940. Vince was the son of the late Benedict and Annie Smith. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Geraldine and Margaret, brothers Joseph and Gerard. Vince is survived by his brothers and sisters, Bridget, Tilley, Marie, Edward, Allan, Rita, Jean and Jerome and their families. Also his extended family and friends at the Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre Extended Care Unit. He lived a full blessed life and will be missed by all who were fortunate to know and love him.Friends and family may visit St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church Upper Ferry on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 8, 2013 at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Upper Ferry with Father Leo Lainey officiating. Interment followed in Mount Thomas Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatres Funeral Home, Port aux Basques.

TAYLOR, Nellie Diane
(June 30, 1952 - November 23, 2013)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nellie Diane Taylor (nee Bond) of Lapoile announces her sudden passing on Saturday November 23, at the age of 61 years. Born at Lapolie, Nellie was the daughter of the late Thomas and Florence (nee Organ) Bond. She was also predeceased by her mother and father in law Margaret and Albert Taylor Sr., sister in law Viola Bond, brother in laws; Henry Organ, Walter Vautier and niece Carolann Bean. She leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories her loving husband Isaac of 44 years, her children; Geroge (Artina) Taylor Burnt Islands, Geraldine (Claude) Francis Laopile, Robert Taylor (Myrna Skinner) Isle aux Morts, Janet (Greg) Courtney Burnt Islands. A special grandmother and great grandmother, nanny will forever remain in the hearts of her grandchildren Nisa, Chad, Owen, Colby, William, Andrew and AJ, great grandchildren Calum and McKenna. Also left with many special memories are her brothers and sisters; Clifford Bond, Lewis (Gloria) Bond, Philip (Dulcie) Bond, Melvin (Rita) Bond all of Lapoile. Gary (Delores) Bond Burnt Islands, Kevin (Gail) Bond Louisburgh NS, Vera Herritt Burnt Islands, Rose Brinston Fort McMurray AB, Eileen (Alex) Chant Lapoile, Brenda (Bruce) Wheaton Fredericton NL. She will also be lovingly remembered by her brother in law Albert Taylor Jr. (Dulcie) Lapoile, sister in laws; Evelyn Organ Lapoile, Edna Vautier Fox Roost, Margaret (Cecil) Francis, Ethel Taylor, Joyce (Clyde) Bateman, Lucy (Raymond) Vautier all of Lapoile and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation took place on Sunday from 2-4 PM at East Haven Funeral Home, then continued at her sons' residence in Burnt Islands on Sunday Evening and Monday, followed by a visitation at St. Thomas Anglican Church in Laopile on Tuesday from where the funeral service took place on Wednesday November 27 at 2:00 PM officiated by Rev. Terry Rose, interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in the care of East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux Basques, 695-2300. www.easthavenfuneralhome.com
