ANDERSON, Henry W. (Harry)
Aug. 1, 1931 - Nov. 13, 2012

Passed peacefully away at the Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center on Tuesday Nov 13, 2012 Henry Ward Anderson (Harry) in his 81st year. Henry is survived by his son, daughter, brother Lloyd and other relatives and friends. To Honor his wishes cremation has taken place, and there will be no public visitation by request. Internment will take place at the Wesley United Cemetery on Saturday August 3, 2013. GILLAM, Michael Alexander
October 26, 1940 - November 7, 2012

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Michael Alexander Gillam announces his sudden passing on Wednesday November 7, at the age of 72 years. Michael was an avid outdoors man, who loved nature and hunting and he left this world doing what he enjoyed the most "Moose Hunting". Born at South branch, Michael was the son of the late Emmanuel and Mary Gillam. He was also recently predeceased by his loving wife Margaret Theresa Gillam on August 17, 2012, his son Timothy on November 29, 1996 and brother Joseph Gillam. Left with fond and precious memories of a wonderful father and grandfather are his children Melanie, Michael, David and his grandsons Joey and Jonah. Michael will also be sadly missed by his brothers William (Lazeta) Gillam, Charlie (Laura) Gillam, Robert Gillam (Bernice), Jim (Lorraine) Gillam, and his sister Agnes (Graham) Bishop. In laws; Donna (Hyacinth) Aucoin, Sharon (Owen) St, Croix, Marilyn (Junior) Pearce, Michael Gale, Lewis (Clara) Gale, Bernard (Rita) Gale, Brian (Jessie) Gale, Danny (Roxanne) Gale, Hughie (Edna) Gale, Gennita Gale. Special friends Robert and Roslyn Tucker, Dr. Ryan Cormier, Aunt Marilyn Gale, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many special friends including his hunting buddies from Newfoundland right to the USA. Visitation took place at St. Sylvester's Roman Catholic Church in South Branch on Sunday from 5-7 PM (Private Family Viewing), followed by public visitation from 7-9 PM and continued on Monday. The funeral mass took place on Tuesday November 13, 10:30 AM at St. Sylvester's Roman Catholic Church officiated by Father Edward Terry. Interment followed at St. Sylvester's Roman Catholic Cemetery. Flowers graciously accepted or donations can be be made to the Janeway Children's Hospital. HARVEY, Mary Jane
April 15, 1943 - November 8, 2012

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Jane Harvey announces her passing at Western Memorial Hospital on Thursday November 8, 2012 at the age of 69 years. Born at Isle aux Morts, Mary Jane was the daughter of the late William and Sarah Lawrence. She was also predeceased by her first husband Lloyd Lovell, her second husband Leslie Harvey, brothers Joseph Lawrence and Victor Lawrence. She leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories her loving children; Cynthia (Johnny) Harris Burnt Islands, Verna (Wayne) Barnes Corner Brook, Lloyd Jr. (Maureen) Lovell, Middle Sackville NS, Gregory (Glenda) Lovell Corner Brook, Debbie (John) Hickey, Lori- Ann (Bernie) Ryan, Colin (Linda) Harvey all of Middle Sackville NS. Loving grandmother of Jennifer, John, Samantha, Kelsey, Nicholas, Sierra, Shelby, Cameron, William, Kalan, also a proud great grandmother to Ashley and Sabastian. She will also be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation took place Friday from 7-9 PM and on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Isle aux Morts. Funeral service took place on Sunday November 11, 3 PM at Holy Spirit Anglican Church, officiated by Rev. Mary rose Colbourne. To honor Mary Jane's wishes cremation has taken place with interment to follow at a later date. HISCOCK, A. Bernice
September 29, 1946 - November 1, 20120
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bernice Hiscock announces her passing on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre, in Port aux Basques, at the age of 66 years. Bernice was predeceased by her husband Ron in 2009, and her son Gary in 1996, parents Arthur and Annie Aucoin, sister Cecilia, brother Raymond and grandson Timothy Pollard. She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories her loving family, Ron (Cindy), Don, Michelle (Rick) Sheppard, and Rick (Tracy); grandchildren Erica, Teanna, Samantha, Taylor and Kalli; great grandchildren Kiley and Kenzie; sisters Leona Gale, Clara Brake (Clive), Christine Gibbons (Roland); brothers Clem Aucoin (Madonna), Walter Aucoin (Annie); sisters and brothers in law, nieces, nephews, extended family members and a wide circle of friends. Funeral mass took place at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church in Upper Ferry, officiated by Father Terry. Interment followed at Mount St. Thomas Roman Catholic Cemetery.

KNEE, Eleazer Alex
Sept. 2, 1918 - Nov. 14, 2012

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alex Knee announces his passing at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center on Wednesday November 14, 2012 at the age of 94 years. Born at Badgers Quay, Alex was the son of the late Ernest and Susan Knee. He was also predeceased by wife Grace Knee, brother William Knee, sons Ross Knee and Reginald Smith, grandson Sheldon and brothers and sisters-in-law. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his loving family; sons Montford Knee Corner Brook, Alex (Theresa) Knee Rose Blanche, daughter Ann (Albert) Cousins Port aux Basques, grandchildren Patricia (Brent), Jamie (Krystal), Ruthanne (Paul), Carl, Nancy (Bernard), Christopher (Linda), Reginald, Charles, Paula, Cindy, Myrna, Leanne, great-grandchildren Jarod, Nicholas, Scott, Brandon, Erica, Sarah, Colby, brother-in-law James (Martha) Styles Rose Blanche, sister-in-law Hannah (James) Currie Rose Blanche and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. LEAMON, Phyllis
Aug. 23, 1937 - Nov. 17, 2012

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Phyllis Leamon announces her sudden passing at her residence on Saturday November 17, at the age of 75 years. Born at Burnt Islands, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Wendell and Harriet Keeping. She was also predeceased by her loving husband Reginald on December 10, 2011, brother Herman Keeping, sisters in law; Phyllis Keeping and Jean Leamon. She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories her children; Wendell (Jennifer) Port aux Basques, Todd (Edith) Rose Blanche, Evelyn (Woody) Keeping Gander NL, Austin (Lori Ann) Airdre Alberta. She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren; Steven, Sheldon, Shane, Brandon, Charles, Jenna, Bradley, Brady. Great grandchildren Griffin and Clara. PIKE, Frank Stephen
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stephen (Steve) Pike announces his sudden passing at his residence in North Sydney NS on Monday November 26, at the age of 44 years. Stephen was predeceased by father Frank in July of 2002. He was also predeceased by uncles Will Pike, Alex Hardy, Israel Warren, Calvin Warren, Bill Bragg, aunts Joan Bragg, Bonnie Warren, grandparents Willoughby and Maisie Pike, John and Mary Warren, He leaves to mourn with many loving and precious memories his family; son Dillon Porter St. John's NL, his mother Margaret Pike Port aux Basques, sisters Maxine Pearce (Rick) Port aux Basques, Colleen Pike (Rob) ON, nieces Stephanie Pearce, Ashleigh Gordon, nephew Danny Pearce. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ella Ransome announces her passing at Dr. Charles L Legrow Hospital on Friday November 16, 2012 at the age of 86 years. Born at New Harbor, Ella was the daughter of the late Philip and Victoria Prosser. She was also predeceased by her husband Monford Organ Sr. June 3, 1986, sister Emily Durnford February 6, 1999. Stepsons Sidney in 1990 and Raymond in 1995. She leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories her loving family; husband James Ransome of 24 years. STONE, Ada Florence
Passed away peacefully at the Dr.Charles Legrow Health Centre on Sunday, November 25, 2012, Ada Stone, at the age of 88 years. Born at West Point, she was the daughter of the late Joesph and Hettie (nee McDonald) Stone. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Wesley and Walter. She leaves to mourn her family, brother Cecil (Annie) Stone, Diamond Cove, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, caregivers Betty and Charlie, cousins and friends. Visitation was held on Tuesday and Wednesday from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Port Aux Basques. The funeral service took place on Thursday, November 29th, at 2:00 p.m. from the Wesley United Church with Rev. Tara-Ann Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at St. Augustine's Cemetery, Margaree. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
