ALBERT BUNGAY
March 21, 1930 - Nov. 7, 2008
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Albert
Bungay passed away at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Friday,
Nov. 7, 2008 at the age of 73 years. Leaving to mourn his wife, Freida, children, Sue, Vickie, Alma, Sherman, Virginia, Caroline and Dwight, grandchildren, Brent, April, Zoe-Lynn, Trevor, Alana, Jillian, Ayla, Albert, Jeremy, Melissa, Jacob, Katie and Elizabeth, great-grandchildren, Erica and Julia, sons-in-law, Michael, Phil, Ken, Tommy, Ed, Geoff and daughter-in-law, Monique. He leaves behind his extended family and large circle of friends. He will live forever in our hearts. He enjoyed life and was devoted to his wife of 53 years, his children and to the farm they built together. He was a hard-working and honest man who saw beauty in nature, animals, flowers, trees, his garden and the mountains. It is here where we will always feel his presence. We will miss your wonderful sense of wit and humor, your practical jokes, getting skunked by you in a game of cribbage, but most of all the look of pride on your face when Mom played your favourite tunes on the mandolin. Thank you for all the beautiful memories. We extend our thanks and deep gratitude to those who offered support and comfort during this most difficult time. A special thank you to Dr. Roger and her team of doctors and nurses at Western Memorial Regional Hospital for their compassionate care and support. Friends visited St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church in Upper Ferry on Saturday and Sunday from where the funeral service took place on Monday, Nov. 10 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Lee Lainey officiating. Interment followed at St. Thomas Cemetery in Codroy Valley. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home.
