BARTLETT, SHELLEY BERNETTA
September.19th, 1965 - May.11th, 2017

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre after her short but courageous battle with cancer, Shelley Bartlett at the age of 51 years. She was predeceased by her grandparents Edward and Naomi Feaver and Maurice and Patricia McGlaughin, her loving sister in law Heidi (nee Cameron) Bartlett and her aunt Evelyn Musseau and her Uncle Clyde Feaver. Leaving to mourn with precious memories her loving mother and father Harold and Patricia (nee Feaver) Bartlett, the loves of her life, her two sons, Patrick Tucker (Melissa Lomond), Nicholas (Holly) Tucker. Her three brothers, David Bartlett, Macky (Monique) Bartlett and Michael (Rita) Bartlett. Proud Aunt to Jaidyn, Caitlin, Melanie, Ethan, Chloe and Matthew, along with a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. As per Shelley's wishes cremation has taken place and there was a celebration of her life at the Lion's Club in Port aux Basques at 2-4 pm on Sunday, May.14th, 2017. DOWNEY, George Thomas
(September 4, 1931 - May 20, 2017)

As we celebrate the life of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and exceptional friend, the memories that we have made together is what we will hold in our hearts forever. On Saturday, May 20, 2017 surrounded by family George Downey passed away peacefully at LeGrow health Centre at the age of 85 years. George was the son of the late John & Maude Downey. He was also predeceased by his brothers Frank, Edward, Raymond, Leo and sister Rose Brake and sweet grandchildren Shianne and Kyle Barry. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of precious memories is his wife Marie of 60 incredible years. A proud father, he will be forever missed and fondly remembered by his children Rita (Bernie) Gale O'Regans, John Downey Port Dover ON, Diane (Victor) Walmsley Scarborough ON, Maureen (Charles) Barry Kippens NL, Clyde (Donna) Downey Ajax ON, George (Lauri Bouvier) Downey Warman SK, Karen (Marven Payne) Downey Port aux Basques NL, David (Charlene) Downey St. Phillip's NL and Susan (Brian) Fiander Mount Uniacke NS. Poppy Downey will always remain in the hearts of his 17 grandchildren Tammy, Jeremy, Cheryl, Sheila-Marie, Candace, Justin, Marc, Dylan, Robyn, Brandon, Bradley, Jennifer, Evan, Jack, Sam, Madison, Liam, and 10 great grandchildren Reid, Hailey, Jackson, Caiden, Temperance, Keaira, Bishop, Kingsley, Harrison and Lennon who loved him so very much. George also leaves to mourn his brothers Augustus, Thomas, Michael, Hyacinth and sisters Margaret O'Gorman and Theresa Prosser. He will also be fondly missed by his brother and sisters-in-law, a large circle of nephews and nieces and many wonderful friends. George was an avid outdoorsman who loved to spend time hunting, fishing and was always ready for a competitive games of cards with family and friends. For those blessed to have him in their lives, they will always remember the time they spent together and the laughs had by all which is what he truly enjoyed the most. Visitation taking place on Monday, May 22, 2-4 & 7-9 pm from St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Upper Ferry where the Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, May 23, 10 am with Father Edward Terry officiating. Interment to follow at Mount St. Thomas Cemetery, Great Codroy. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in his memory can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation. May 20, 1925 - May 27, 2017

Passed peacefully away on Saturday, May 27, 2017 surrounded by her loving family, Mary Kathleen Gale at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre at the age of 92 years. Predeceased by her husband Archibald M. Gale of 39 years (December 1987), parents William and Mary Ann Kendell, sisters Elizabeth Kendell, Annie (Benedict) Smith, Phoebe (George) Hilliard, brother James (Isabelle) Kendell and infant great grandson Cody B. Gale (2015). Leaving to mourn sons: Edward (Gwendolyn), Ajax, ON, Kevin (Karen), Gillams, NL; daughters: Marlene (Charley) Ryan, Dryden, ON, Janice (Carl) Hann, Stephenville, NL; 10 grandchildren: Crystal Gale, Ajax, Nicholas (Holly) Gale, Bradford, ON, Christopher Gale, Ajax ON, Angela Gale (Daniel Inglis), Kingston, ON, Jennifer Gale (Paul Norman), Lewisporte, NL, David Gale (Jill Brake), St. John's, NL, Devin Ryan, Kenora, ON, Deanna (Trevor) Tracey, Calgary AB, Gregory Hann (Chrissy Crowley), Edmonton, AB and Matthew Hann (Stacey March) Fort McMurray, AB; Four great grandchildren Riley, Scott, Aaron and Grace Norman as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation was held at Holy Trinity Church, Codroy, NL Monday, May 29 and Tuesday, May 30, 2017, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm, from where the funeral service took place on Wednesday, May 31, at 2 p.m. with Reverend Harvey officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Codroy. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Holy Trinity Building/Cemetery Fund. HOSKINS, CHRISTINE ELIZABETH
October 12, 1951 - May 29, 2017

When you loose a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend, it is a loss like no other that leaves you with an aching in your heart and a longing for just one more day, one more hour, one more minute and one more hug. On Monday, May 29, we had to say good bye to our beloved Christine Hoskins (nee Osmond) after a short but courageous battle with cancer at the age of 65 years. Christine was predeceased by her father Wilson Osmond, father and mother in law Ronald and Bertha Hoskins and her step father Garfield Piercey. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of precious memories, her husband Andy Hoskins of 45 years. A loving and devoted mother, Christine's memory will remain safely tucked inside the hearts of her two children; Trudy (Johnny) and Trevor, she will also live on in the heart of her only grandson, her treasure Andre Hoskins and also her special puppy, her pride and joy Simba. She will be sadly missed by her mother Ruth Piercey and her only brother Albert (Bernice) Osmond. She will be fondly remembered by her brothers and sisters in law; Clyde Hoskins (Dale), Raymond Hoskins, Mervin (Elaine) Hoskins, Madonna (Bill) Dawe, Sherry (Brian) Masters, Louise (Calvin) Hillier. She will always hold a special place in the hearts of her good friends Charlie (Jeannie) Burchell, Clayton (Blanche) Harris, Tammy (Jimmy) Hoskins. The exceptional relationship that Christine had with her extra special friends Denise and Tony Parsons was a bond that could not be separated and they have many precious memories of Christine that will always keep them close at heart. She will also be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends including all of her buddies at MacDougall's. Visitation took place on Tuesday May 30 and Wednesday May 31 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Thursday June 1, 2 pm at St. James Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Marlene Harvey, internment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jean Hynes announces her peaceful passing on Thursday, May 10 at Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques at the age of 71 years. Born in St. Andrew's, Jean was the daughter of the late Leonard and Rita Hynes, she was predeceased by her brothers Kevin Hynes, William Hynes, loving partner Don Musseau, nephews David Dominie, Dion Hynes, sister in law Ursla Hynes. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories her daughter Pamela (Danny) Dominie of Woodville, grandchildren; Michaela, Hannah, Alexander. She will forever remain in the hearts of her brothers and sisters; Leo Hynes St. Andrew's, Karl (Pam) Hynes Connecticut USA, Brian (Sharon) Hynes, Doug (Laura) Hynes all of St. Andrew's, Glen Hynes of Ottawa ON, Margaret Dominie (Lloyd) of Stephenville NL, Marlene Hynes (Ted) St. Andrew's, Patricia Hynes, Georgina (Jeff) Hopkins all of Ottawa ON and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Reginald Musseau announces his peaceful passing at the Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the age of 85 years. Reginald was the son of James and Mabel (Battiste) Musseau. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are his daughters, Sheila Styles (Bill Quirk), Florence, Nova Scotia, Joanne (Darrell) Hesse, Regina, Saskatchewan, grandchildren, Robert (Simone), Chad (Sara) and Vanessa (Jesse), sister Dollie (Ron) Doyle, sisters-in-laws, Pearl Musseau, Anna Musseau, Hilda Musseau, and Mary Lomond and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Minnie Skeard, daughter, Cavelle Musseau, brothers, sisters, and brother-and sister-in-law's, Jim Musseau, May (Norman) Feltham, Annie (Howard) Walters, Gerald Musseau, Gord Musseau, and Howard (Theresa) Musseau. In keeping with Reginald's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation took place on Saturday, June 3, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Fillatre's Funeral Home, from where the funeral service took place on Sunday, June 4 at 3 p.m.; with a reception to follow at the St. James Memorial Centre. (June 10, 1934 - May 27, 2017)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lilia Florence Neil (nee Thorne) announces her peaceful passing surrounded by her loving family on Saturday May 27, at Dr. Charles Legrow Health Center at the age of 82 years. Born in Burnt Islands, Lilia was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Effie J Thorne (nee Marsden). Lilia was also predeceased by her loving husband Eric in 2010 and her daughter Margaret in 2013, sons in law; Roderick Payne and Dale Boivin, sisters; Ada, Priscilla, Bethina, brother Chesley and a many brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews. Left with a lifetime of precious memories are Lilia's 7 daughters; Loretta (Minter) Walters, Diane (Alfred) Taylor all of Burnt Islands, Erica (Brett) Walker of Ontario, Annette (Clayton) Vardy of Isle aux Morts, Ada (John) Robbins of Ontario, Lydia (Kenny) Thorne of Burnt Islands and Florence Boivin (Jamie) of Isle aux Morts. A proud grandmother and great grandmother, she will also be sadly missed by her 14 grandchildren,; Felicia, Alfred, Quentin, Amelia, Blair W., Roderick, Blair T., Jessica, Eric, John, Tamara, Kendra, Geneva, Kirkland and 11 great grandchildren. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Willoughby Wilson Osmond announces his peaceful passing after a courageous battle with cancer at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the age of 80 years. Wilson was the son of the late Emmanuel and Selina Osmond. He was predeceased by his son Anthony (Tony), brothers and sisters Stan (Lillian), Mildred (Leslie), Cecil (Lucy), Vera (Freeman), Rebecca (Maxwell), brothers in law Charlie Green, Benjamin Perry, mother and father in law Freeman and Annie LaFosse. He leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories his wife Joan (nee LaFosse) of 37 years, four sons Clyde (Heather) Osmond, Robert Osmond, Dean (Tammy) Osmond, Blair Lefrense (Tracy), six daughters Valerie (Ford Green), Donna (Kevin) Battiste, Verna (Barry) Alley, Patsy Courchesne (Larry), Barbara (Glenn) Devereaux, Tina Lefrense (Scott), his puppy Ruby who was his pal and a large number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Phyllis was predeceased by her father Wilburn Rose in October 2016, grandparents George & Laura Rose, Elizabeth & Philip Hatcher, uncle Wilfred Burton and mother and father-in-law Henry & Louisa Clarke. She leaves to mourn with many memories her loving husband Austin of 33 years, mother Maggie Rose, sister Georgina Parsons, special niece Lori (Dannie), Mia, special nephew Cody (Savannah), Taylor, Cayleigh, stepson Darren (Kathy) Farrell, grandson Jaxon, and her puppy Chrissy. LeGrow Health Care Centre Long Term Care Unit on Wednesday, May 31 at the age of 75 years. Kate was the daughter of the late Isaac and Caroline Pearce. She was predeceased by her husband Albert Taylor Sr., brothers Robert and Frank Pearce, granddaughter Peggy Sue, great granddaughter Lucille, sister in law Annie Pearce, niece Debbie MacDonald, brothers in law Stan (Margaret) Anderson, Gordon Taylor, mother and father in law Blanche and Albert Taylor, nephew Michael Taylor. It is with great sadness that the family of the late James William Warren announces his passing on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 69. Born in Margaree, James was the son of the late Walter and Olive Warren. He was predeceased by his loving wife Gladys Warren in December 2012, brothers and sisters George Warren, Vera (Albert) Osmond, Susan Osmond, Philip Warren, Walter Warren, Mildred (Chesley) Short, and Gertie MacIsaac. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his sons Robert Warren (Denise) Cape Ray, Terry Warren (Leigh Ann) Innisfil ON, grandson Justin Warren, granddaughter Samantha Warren. He will be sadly missed by his in laws Betty Osmond, Ralph Osmond, Patsy LeBlanc, Linda Warren, James MacIsaac, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation took place on Saturday, May 13 and Sunday, May 14 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm from East Haven Funeral Home.
