COLLIER, Chesley
1940-2016

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Chesley Collier announces his passing on Sunday, May 8, 2016, at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Center, with his loving family by his side at the age of 75. Born in Burgeo, he was the son of the late James and Harriett (Hatcher) Collier. Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories, daughters, Elizabeth (Jackie) Parsons, Rose Blanche and Kathy (Benjamin) Edmunds, Port-aux-Basques; son Freeman, Rose Blanche, sister, Betty (Andrew) Anderson, grandchildren, Savannah Parsons (Justin House), Adriana Edmunds (Scott Clarke), Kevin Parsons, Jordan Edmunds, Haley Parsons, great grandchildren, Keegan and Lukas Clarke and Cameron House and nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Chesley was predeceased by his wife, Effie, grandson, Devin Parsons. Visitation will be held on Monday and Tuesday from St. Michael's and All Angels, in Rose Blanche, with funeral service to be held on Wednesday, May 11 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Michael's and All Angels, with Rev. Jeffrey Petten officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle-aux-Morts Road. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted. DURNFORD, Annie
Francois, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Annie Durnford announces her peaceful passing at her home on May 11, 2016. Annie was the daughter of the late Mable & Frank Young. She was predeceased by her husband Esau, son Barry, granddaughter Samantha. She leaves with many fond and precious memories to mourn: Daughter Christine (Tony); Sons Brian (Norma), Bud (Bonnie), George (Sherry); Brother Arthur (Jessie); Sister-in-law Beatrice M. Durnford; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; Uncle Gordon (Sarah), Aunt Minnie, Uncle Bill, Aunt Mary and Aunt Ida. Arrangements were in the care of Fillatre's Funeral Home.

ENWOOD, Sidney James
(July 9, 1980 - May 29, 2016)

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of the late Sidney Enwood announces his passing at his residence in Halifax, NS on May 29, 2016 at the age of 35 years. Sidney was predeceased by his grandparents Hubert & Susanna Enwood, Walter & Ellen Bond, uncles James Bond and Darcy Hardy, aunts Roberta Harvey, Bessie Samson and Geraldine Enwood, great grandmother and grandfather Strickland, great grandmother and grandfather Bond, Great grandmother and grandfather Herritt and great grandmother Meade. He leaves to mourn with many memories his loving parents Bruce & Debbie Enwood Harrietsfield NS, his only sister Cynthia Enwood (Jeff Bowes) Eastern Passage NS, nephew Jordan and Niece Chloe. Also left to mourn the loss are his loving partner Erica Reid Halifax NS, his mother and father in law Wendy & Roger King, sister in law Jennine King (Mitchell Seaboyer), brother in law Jason King all of New Brunswick, and step grandmother Rosetta Glover. He will also forever remain in the hearts of a large circle of aunts, uncles, extended family and many friends who are too many to name. Sidney was an avid sports fan. He was a huge fan of the Montreal Canadians, Halifax Mooseheads, Toronto Blue Jays and the New England Patriots. He loved music and was the co-founder of Underdog Productions, His two dogs Diesel and Moose were his walking companions and they could be found at the dog park any day of the week. His family and friends were very fortunate to share in his life and he will be fondly remembered as the "Mayor of Halifax". Visitation taking place on Thursday and Friday at the family residence in Burnt Islands. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 4, 2 p.m. from St. George's Anglican Church, Burnt Islands with Rev. Jeffrey Petten officiating. (October 19, 1932 - May 10, 2016)

It is with great sadness the family of the late Classie Louise Fudge (nee Leamon) announces her passing surrounded by her loving family on May 10, 2016 at the Charles LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 83. Born in Isle -Aux-Morts, NL, Classie was the daughter of the late Nathan and Margaret Leamon. She was also predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1991, sons John and Lloyd, daughter in law Ann, granddaughter Joanna, grandson Johnny, brother William and sister in law Ethel. Leaving to mourn with many fond and precious memories are her children Loraine (Michael) Kennedy Dominion, NS, Mary (Jim) Murphy PAB, Garland (Esther Dicks) PAB, Judy (Rick) Osmond Eastern Passage, NS, Barry (Dawn) PAB, Dorothy (Mike) MacIsaac Eastern Passage, NS, Bruce of Monarch, Alberta. A loving grandmother to Robert, Paul (Cheryl), Dwayne (Jennifer), Keith (Kristine), Kimberly, Natasha (Dana), Devin, Kirstie, Miranda, Logan, Jillian, Jessica, Nathan, Merriah, Donavon, Christopher, Andrew, Colby, Autumn and Peter, grand daughter in law Kimberley Fudge and a great grandmother to Robert, Bryanna, Brandon, Kayla, Emily, Terrance, Keegan, Jackson, Kiresten, Bria, Annalise, Brennan, Hannah, Brooke and Thomas. Born in Grand Bruit, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Ann (Vickers) Billard. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband James, of 62 years, children, Barbara (Norman) McNeil, Louis Hayward, Garry (Dena) Hayward, Wayne Hayward (Alice Maynard), Pamela (Paul) Mauger and Wanda (Nick) Di-Monte, grandchildren, Tina, Sherry, Lisa, Shawn, Andrea, Brandon, Francis, Stephen, Patricia, Samantha, Hailey and Chloe, great grandchildren, Jennifer, Corey, Chantell, Justin, Desmond, Brock, Lyndon, Trulee, Jermiah, Beau and Mason. INGRAM, Marvin George
(August 10, 1949 - May 31, 2016)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marvin Ingram announce his passing surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, May 31 at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 66 years. Born in Port aux Basques, Marvin was the son of the late George and Gladys (nee Lomond) Ingram of Burgeo. He was also predeceased by his mother and father in law Arthur and Francis Osmond. Leaving to mourn his wife and best friend Eileen, his cherished daughters Corinna (Steve) Griffiths and Paula Elliott, his pride and joy his grandchildren Samuel, Allison, Rachel and Benjamin. His sisters Carrie (Walt) MacDonald, Stella (Alain) Guy, Pam (Glenn) Keeping, brothers Gord (Sheila), Allister (Marie), Sidney (Diane), and Brian (Susan). Brother in law Melvin (Jennifer) Osmond, the mother of his daughters Claudette (nee Parsons) Ingram, good friends Effie Hewitt, Calvin Parsons, Brenda and Bert Anderson, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Marvin will be remembered for his dry and quick sense of humour, his love for his church, music and his dedication to his family and friends. (August 19, 1949 - May 2, 2016)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Kinslow announces his passing at the Halifax Infirmary, Nova Scotia at the age of 66 years. Born in Isle aux Morts, John was the son of the late John and Emily (nee Neil) Kinslow. He was also predeceased by his mother and father-in-law James and Elizabeth Kane, brother William Kinslow and brother-in-law James Kane Jr. He leaves to mourn with many memories his loving and devoted wife Kathleen of 39 years. A loving father he will remain in the hearts of his children Jason (Joy), Wanda all of Halifax NS, John (Connie) Dartmouth NS, and Chris (Anita) Halifax NS, a proud poppy he will be remembered by his grandchildren Mallory, Cassidy, Jessica, Daniel, Rossalyn, Emily, Carla, Holly, Justin, Devin, Jacob and his great grandchildren Mya, Brooklyn, Vivian, Landen, Briana and Laycie. MUSSEAU, Alexander
(October 8, 1929 - May 4, 2016)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alexander Musseau announces his passing at the Charles Legrow Health Center in Port Aux Basques after a brief illness on May 4, 2016 at the age of 86 years. Alex was the son of the late Joseph and Alma Musseau (nee Anderson). He was predeceased by his brothers Charlie, Levi, Leonard and Roy, sisters Blanche, Hilda, Dulcie and Delores. He leaves to mourn his loving and devoted wife Ethel (nee Currie) of 57 years, children David (Ellen) Musseau, Patsy (Ken) Sule and Tammy (Todd) Aylward; grandchildren Holly, Matthew, Shawn, Scott, Jacob, Grant and Charlie, great grandchildren Lucas, Blakely and Isaac, sister Pearl (Shirley) Seward and brother Ron Musseau. Alex worked at the Canadian National Railway in Port aux Basques for 35 years and was then fortunate enough to have enjoyed over 30 years of retirement with his loving wife Ethel. He loved life and had an abundance of energy. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing and attending the weekly dances at the Parish Hall. He was well known for his vigorous and energetic dancing style. His passion for music led him to play the accordion, the fiddle and the harmonica as much as possible, to his heart's content. He was also very fond of his weekly skating activities at the Bruce Arena and his happy and outgoing personality helped him make many friends along the way. Alex had a fantastic sense of humour and was always looking for an opportunity to make you laugh. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who was very proud of his family and all their achievements. Visitation taking place on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the East Haven Funeral Home Inc. Funeral services taking place Saturday, May 7th, 2 pm at the St James Anglican Church with Reverend Marlene Harvey officiating. Interment followed at St James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. August 21, 1927 - May 30, 2016

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Samuel Pink announce his passing on Monday, May 30, 2016 at Mountain Hope Manor, Port-aux-Basques with his loving son by his side, at the age of 88.Born in Cape LaHune, Newfoundland he was the son of the late John and Hilda (Pink) Pink. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his son, George (Sandra) Pink, grandchildren, Christopher and Caitlyn, brother, Claude Pink. He was predeceased by his wife, Gertie Pink, sister, Eileen, brothers, Hughie and George Pink. SAMMS, James Walter
(June 23, 1952 - May 23, 2016)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Walter Samms announces his passing surrounded by his loving family on Monday May 23 at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 63 years. Born at Codroy, James was the son of the late William Russell and Sarah Jane (nee Collier) Samms, he was also predeceased by his sister Leona Marie Samms. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his brother Nelson (Sharon) Samms, sister Ruthie Samms (Eddie), brother Frank (Eva) Collier all of Codroy, nieces; Jennifer Samms (Ephriam Smith) Cook's Harbour NL, Shelly (Jamie) Hilliard Millville, nephews; Gordon Samms Halifax NS, William Samms Codroy, great niece Erica Hilliard, great nephews; Brady Samms and Austin Samms. James will also be fondly remembered by his special friend of 21 years Beatrice Kerfont and many special friends and extended family. In keeping with James' wishes, cremation has taken place. Born in Port aux Basques, Allison was the son of the late Elijah and Myrtle Skeard. He was also predeceased by his brother Wayne, Father and mother in law; Allan and Winifred Evans, Brother in law Richard (Dick) Tobin, sister in law Sherry Evans. He leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories his devoted wife Dale Skeard (nee Evans) of 37 years. Sons; Christopher (Sonya) Skeard Isle aux Morts, Kerry (Sher) Skeard Dartmouth NS, Devon (Meleetia) Skeard Ontario. Grandchildren; Kirk, Justise, Jeremy, Dylan, D'Shai, Dakelle. He will also be fondly remembered by his sisters Mildred Tobin, Donna Skeard, brother Roger Skeard all of Port aux Basques. SWEET, Matthew Joseph
(January 1, 1953 - May 9, 2016)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Matthew Sweet announces his passing surrounded by his loving family after a brief battle with cancer on Monday May 9, at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Centre at the age of 63 years. Matthew was predeceased by his infant son Martin, father Kenneth Sweet, step father Clyde Buttery, brother Jack Sweet, grandparents who raised him Matthew and Blanche Hardy, grandparents Joseph and Winifred Sweet, father in law Albert Warren, brothers in law; Enos Skeard, Ronald Maddigan, John Doyle. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of precious memories devoted wife Bernice Sweet (nee Warren) of 42 years. Loving father of Matthew (Terri-Lynn) Sweet, Susan (Chad) Skinner all of Margaree. Proud poppy of Sarah, Jayden (Poppy's Jed) and Rian. Matthew will also be sadly missed by his mother Winifred Buttery Port aux Basques, brother David (Katherine) Sweet Bishop's Falls NL, sisters; Robin Doyle Port aux Basques, Tammy (Tom) Chambers Blue Cove NL. Matthew will also be fondly remembered by his mother in law Caroline Warren Margaree, sisters in law; Bessie (Garland) Walters Fox Roost, Kathelene Skeard Port aux Basques, Mildred Maddigan Corner Brook, Brenda Sweet Port aux Basques, brother in law David (Roberta) Warren Fox Roost and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many special friends. Matthew had a long, rewarding career with Marine Atlantic and retired after 37 years of service. He loved life on the water and this was evident in the fishing and his boat that he enjoyed so much in his spare time. His love and devotion to his family was his greatest passion and he always made sure that they were looked after and happy. Visitation taking place on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and continuing on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at St.Augustine's Anglican Church in Margaree, from where the funeral service will take place on Thursday May 12, 2 pm officiated by Rev. Maryrose Colbourne. Internment will follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in memory of Matthew can be made to the charity of one's choice. WAMBOLT, Wayne Fredrick
(September 26, 1948 - May 7, 2016)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wayne Wambolt announces his passing at the Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Centre on May 7, 2016 at the age of 67 years. Born in Halifax NS, Wayne was the son on the late Clyde and Pearl (nee Walker) Wambolt. He was also predeceased by his granddaughter Madison, brothers Breton, Stanton, and Howard, sister Shirley,, mother and father-in-law George and Mary Smith and brothers-in-law Rod Smith, Frank O'Regan, and Leroy Bennett and sister-in-law Hilda Wambolt. He leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories his devoted wife Rowena of 48 years. A loving and caring father he will be remembered by his children Dwane, Codroy Valley and Natasha, Ottawa ON, and his only grandson Gryphon who loved and adored him. He will also remain in the memories of his brothers and sisters Barbara, Clyde (Betty), and David (Helen) and his brothers and sisters-in-law Rose, Robert (Loretta), Ronald (Cassie), Judy and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. In keeping with Wayne's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation taking place on Wednesday, May 11 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, Upper Ferry.
