HAYMAN, Benjamin
August 23, 1919 - May 1, 2007
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Benjamin Hayman announce
his peaceful passing at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Tuesday,
May 1, 2007 at the age of 87 years. Born at Fox Island, NL, he
was the son of the late Hughie and Mariah Hayman. He was also predeceased
by his wife, Cassie in August of 1981; and son-in-law, Bertrum Hayward.
He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving daughters,
Marion (George) Seymour of Isle aux Morts, Marie Hayward of Port aux Basques,
Wilhelmena (Cyril) Murphy of Torbay, NL, Mary (Don) Squibb of Port aux
Basques, Janet (Arch) Kearley of Isle aux Morts and Alvina Hayman of Kilbride,
NL; grandchildren, Denise Herritt, Wilhelmena Hardy, Ben Hayward, Cassie
Gillam, Rosalyn Hayward, Sheldon Hayward, Dwayne Murphy, Craig Murphy,
Hayman Murphy, Tanya Fagan, Lemonte Squibb, Travis Kearley, Trevor Kearley,
Darron Hayman and Shawna Manning; 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild
and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many, many friends. Visitation
took place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at Holy Spirit Anglican Church
in Isle aux Morts. Funeral services took place on Saturday, May 5, 2 p.m.
at Holy Spirit Anglican Church officiated by Rev. Duncan Granter. Interment
followed at Holy Spirit Cemetery, Isle aux Morts. Funeral arrangements

KNOTT, Michael Paul
KNOTT, Michael Paul - 44, died suddenly on May 1, 2007, in Halifax. Born in Channel,
NL, he was a son of Kathleen Knott and the late Eric Knott. Paul was a member
of the Canadian Armed Forces, serving as a cook in the Navy until his retirement
in 2003. He did two tours of duty in the Persian Gulf and served with NATO
Peace Keeping Forces on the Israel/Sinai Border. Left to mourn his passing
are his mother, Kathleen; wife, Margaret (Warren); daughter, Jennifer, East
Dover; son, Andrew, Grande Prairie, Alta.; sister, Kathy (Norman) Strickland,
Hatchet Lake; brothers, Tom (Doris), Grande Prairie, Alta.; Reg (Carol-ann),
Dartmouth; nieces and nephews; family, friends, and neighbours. His father,
Eric, predeceased him in 1981. A memorial service was held in St. Timothy's
Anglican Church, Hatchet Late, on Thursday, May 10, with Rev. Lisa Vaughn officiating,
and the funeral service was held in St. James' The Great Anglican Church in
Channel, N.L. on Saturday, May 12, with Rev. Canon Dr. Hugh Fudge officiating.
Paul was laid to rest in St. James' Cemetery in Barachois Hill, NL, beside
his father.
WARREN, John Thomas
September 7, 1940 - May 3, 2007
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of John
Thomas Warren at age 66 on Thursday, 3 May 2007, at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health
Center. John resided in Fox-Roost and was the son of the late Dorman and Gertrude
Warren, brother of the late Leslie (Jane) Warren. The family mourns their great
loss and remembers the fond memories of John as a husband, father and grandfather.
John leaves behind his loving wife, Marie of 44 years marriage; and his children
who adored him, Madonna (Louis MacDonald) of Kippens, NL, Perry (Roslyn) Warren
of Margaree, NL, Lori-Ann (Michael) Leamon of St. Albert, AB, and Ashley Warren
of St. Albert, AB; grandchildren, Jonathan, Scotty, Nicholas, Maria, Dylan,
Colby and Mitchell; brother, Gordon Warren of Port aux Basques, NL; sister-in-law,
Harriet Warren of Fox-Roost, NL; brothers-in-law, Lloyd (Susan) Blagdon of
Halifax, NS, Thomas (Marie) Blagdon of Coomb’s Cove, Fortune Bay NL;
and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many, many friends. Visitation took
place on May 4-5, 2007 at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church. The Funeral
service, followed by an Interment, took place on Sunday, May 6, 2007, 2 p.m.,
officiated by Rev. Duncan Granter at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church

April 4, 1930 - May 7, 2007
Passed away peacefully at his daughter's home in Mount Uniacke, N.S. on Monday,
May 7th, 2007 at the age of 77 years. He leaves to mourn
his loving wife Cora, of 51 years; one sister Georgina LeRiche; six children:
Yvonne (Lew) Ingram, Mount Uniacke, N.S., Wanda Mullins (Gary), Kitchener, ON,
Danny (Darlene) Mullins, Port aux Basques, Adrian Mullins, Lower Sackville, N.S.,
Valerie (Ted) Osmond, Mount Uniacke, N.S., David Mullins (Sarah), Lower Sackville,
N.S.; 3 grandchildren: Todd Ingram, Kimberly Ingram (William), Krystal Osmond;
1 great-grandchild William Coley Jr., along with a large circle of other relatives
and friends. He was very active in the St. James Anglican Church as Lay Minister,
a member of the Orange Lodge and the Odd Fellows Lodge, as well as other community
activities. He will always be remembered and sadly missed. Friends visited Fillatre's
Funeral Home, Port aux Basques on Wednesday and Thursday. The Funeral Service
took place at St. James Anglican Church on Friday, May 11th at 1:00
p.m. officiated by Rev. Fudge. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery,

one Ronald Peter Francis at London Health Science Centre, London, Ontario on
Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at the age of 67. Born at LaPoile he was the son of the
late Charles and Martha Francis. Ronald leaves to mourn his loving children Melodie
of Halifax, Ron of Kitchener, ON, and Darcy (Cindy) of Kitchener, ON. Grandchildren:
Charlaine, Melodie, Jamie, Tristen, Brent, Winter Rose, Emma, Liam, Brooklyn
and Bridget. Sister Mary Jane (James) Taylor of St. John's, brothers: Clifford

Passed away at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre, Port aux Basques, on
Friday May 18, 2007, George Bell Pike in his 79th year. George
was a member of Cabot Masonic Grand Lodge # 13 Port aux Basques and a member
of the Shriners Mazol Temple of Newfoundland and Labrador. Survived by wife Hilda
(Stone), son Frank (Shirley), daughter Joan (Tony) and grandson Andrew. Also,
sister Ellen Roberts, brothers James (Ruby), Bill (Ruby), Mack (Ann), nieces
and nephews and a large circle of friends. George was predeceased by parents
Honorable Frank and May, and brother-in-law, Stanley Roberts. Friends visited
Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port aux Basques on Sunday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9
PM. The funeral service was held on Monday, May 21 at 1:00 PM from Wesley United
Church, Port aux Basques, Rev Patricia Ritchie officiated. Interment followed
