It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lillian Blanche
Musseau (nee Button) announce her passing on Friday, March 2nd,
2007 in her 80th year. She is survived by husband of 61 years,
James O. Musseau; sister Rose (Ron Stirling) of Corner Brook; children: Clifford
(Margaret) of Port aux Basques, Douglas (Catherine) of Grand Falls-Windsor and
Diane (Baxter Strickland) of Port aux Basques; grandchildren: Todd (Natalie)
of St. Andrews, Juanita (Randy Farrell) of Eastern Passage, NS, Derek (Tina)
of Edmonton, AB and Michelle of Toronto, ON and a large circle of family and
friends. She was predeceased by son Roland; parents Phillip and Mary (nee Osmond)
Button; brothers Oscar and Richard; step-brother Clifford Button and step-sister
Pearl Baker. Visitation took place on March 2nd from 7-9 p.m. and
March 3rd from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port
aux Basques. The Funeral Service was held on Sunday, March 4th at
Faith Pentecostal Church in Port aux Basques, officiated by Pastor Craig Lane.
Interment followed at the Faith Pentecostal Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were
entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home.
BILLARD, George Henry Sr.
Grand Bruit, NL
1928 - 2007
Passed peacefully away at the Calder Health Care Centre in Burgeo on Sunday,
March 4th, 2007 George Billard Sr. at the age of 78 years.
Born at Grand Bruit, he was the son of the late Henry and Bessie (nee Riles)
Billard. He was also predeceased by brothers: Jack, Eric, Sim, and sister Mabel.
He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving family, wife of
44 years, Edna; son Ches (Tammy), grandson Andrew; sisters: Lily (Frank), Burgeo
and Julia (Bob), ON; brothers: Wilbert (Edith), N.S., Rodney (Madeline), NS,
Michael (Georgina), Grand Bank, Gerald (Michilen), ON and Wendell, ON, along
with a large circle of other family members and friends. Visitation took place
on Monday, March 5th at Grand Bruit United Church, from where the
Funeral Service took place on Tuesday, March 6th at 2:00 p.m., officiated
by Rev. Dr. W. Cole. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral
Home, Port Aux Basques. SMITH, Andrew S.
On Sunday, March 4, 2007 Andrew S. Smith (age 77) of South
Branch passed away suddenly. He was the son of and predeceased by John and
Julia (MacIsaac) Smith; brothers, Archie, George, Charles and Gordon; and sister,
Elizabeth. He was survived by sister, Elizabeth; brothers, John and Reg (who
passed away March 14th). In honour of Andrew’s wishes he was cremated.
He was buried March 6th at St. Sylvester’s Cemetery. Thank
you to relatives and friends for your love and support during our recent loss.
Your expression of love and sympathy through those of you who brought food
and sent cards was deeply appreciated. To those of you who showed other kindnesses
like, Guy, Tanya, Audrey, the staff of Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre, the
staff of East Haven, the South Branch Social Centre, Joe Martin, Brian Wall,
Lydwena and especially Father Lainey, we’ll be forever grateful. Thank
you from the bottom of our saddened and grateful hearts.

Passed away peacefully at her residence in St. Andrews on Friday, March
9, 2007, Vera Joan Seaward (nee Dawe) at the age of 54 years. Leaving
to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband, Eric and children, Jody-Lee
Farrah (Shane), Erica Keyes (Ryan) and Andrew, all of Fort McMurray, Alberta;
mother, Marion Dawe of Port aux Basques; brothers and sisters, John Dawe of Dartmouth,
NS, Patsy Bryne (Kevin) of Sherridon, MB, Tom Dawe (Mary) of Port aux Basques
and Debbie Pike (Ross) of Labrador City; mother-in-law, Frances Seaward of Port
aux Basques and a large circle of in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Joan
was predeceased by her father, Thomas Dawe in 1996, sister-in-law, Angela Dawe
in 1997 and father-in-law, James Seaward in 2005. Visitation took place at East
Haven Funeral Home on Sunday, 7-9 p.m. and Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services
were held at Faith Pentecostal Tabernacle at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2007,
officiated by Pastor Craig Lane. Interment followed at the Pentecostal Cemetery,

Passed away at The Calder Health Care Centre on Sunday, March 11th, 2007,
Jeffrey Patrick Earl. He leaves to mourn his wife Tracey; sons: Clayton
and Adam of Burgeo; sister Jeanette (Steward) of Qatar; two brothers: Wayne (Diane)
of Vancouver and Derek (Martha) of St. John's; mother and father-in-law: Clayton
and Elizabeth Dominey; sisters-in-law: Diane (Sam), Sandra (Bill); brothers-in-law:
Bill (Nina), Todd (Gloria), Clyde (Evan), as well as a large circle of nephews,
nieces and friends. He was predeceased by his father George; mother Catherine
and brother Brian. The Funeral Service was held at St. John The Evangelist Church
on Tuesday, March 13th at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Reverend George Childs. The
family wish to thank Janet and Glenn Dominey and the staff at Fillatre's Funeral
Home, as well as the many family members and dear friends who helped out and

March 14, 2007, Mary Ellen Osmond (nee Francis) at the age of 52 years.

Passed away peacefully at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Wednesday,
March 14, 2007, Clifford Keeping of Burnt Islands at the age of 67 years. Born at Burnt
Islands he was the son of the late Wilfred and Estella May Keeping (nee Munden).
He was also predeceased by his children, Clifford Reginald Jonathan and Alvin
Isreal; father-in-law, Isreal Walters; and brother-in-law, Chester Keeping. He
leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving family: wife, Betty

15, 2007 at the age of 69 years. Born at Port aux Basques she was the daughter of
the late Isaac and Ester Lomond. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Sydney,
John Lewis and Harry; brothers-in-law, Isaac Lomond, Phillip Lomond, Gilbert
Matthews, John Buttery, Wesley Kettle, Randell Wells, Jonas Pearce and Ralph
Kettle; sisters-in-law, Maud Wells, Dorcas Kettle and Julie Pearce. She leaves

Edna was
a kind, loving woman who will surely be missed by all of those who were blessed
to have had her as a part of their lives. We will always cherish the memories

Joseph and Mary Power. She was also predeceased by her father-in-law, George

March 17, 2007 Madeline Hannah Bragg at the age of 84 years. Born at Grand Falls
she was the daughter of the late Hannah and Thomas Tremblett. She was also predeceased

brothers-in-law, Edward Lace, Jim McNeil and Albert Rodgers; and sister-in-law,
