AuCOIN, Joseph Thomas
March 19, 1939 - June 20, 2018

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Joseph Thomas Aucoin announces his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL on Wednesday, June 20th, 2018 at the age of 79 years. Born in Tompkins, NL, he leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving wife Ruby of 52 years; children Darrin (Carolyn) Aucoin of Tompkins NL, Jody (Dave) Bance of Tracadie, NS, Shawn (Joan) Aucoin of Halifax, NS and Holly Setterington of Cornwall, Ontario; nine loving grandchildren Rebecca and Brady Aucoin, Riley, Hannah and Cailunn Bance, Shawntae and Shawna Aucoin, and Annika and Tegan Setterington. Joe will be sadly missed by his brothers Gord (Doreen) Aucoin of St. George's NL, Ron (Shirley) Aucoin of Tompkins, NL, Kevin (Jane) Aucoin of Portugal Cove, NL, Len (Diane) Aucoin of Corner Brook, NL, Frank (Liz) Aucoin of Codroy, NL and Mike (France) Aucoin of Gander, NL; sisters Dianne (Randy) Walsh of Conception Bay, NL and Verna Aucoin of Peru; sister-in-laws Helen Stevenson of Goulds, NL, Glenys Vivian of St. John's, NL and Gladys Vivian of Portugal Cove, NL and brother-in-law Robin (Regina) Vivian of Kilbride, NL plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. He is predeceased by his parents William and Dorothy (MacIsaac) Aucoin; sister Joan (Aucoin) Snow; brothers-in-law Herb Vivian and Gordon Stevenson; father and mother-in-law Eli and Grace (Ruby) Vivian.
The family will receive family and friends at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church in Upper Ferry on Friday, June 22nd, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A celebration of Joe's life will take place on Saturday, June 23rd, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church officiated by Father Lee Lainey. Inurnment will follow at St. Andrews Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be graciously made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice. Born in Millertown Junction, NL, Mary was the daughter of the late Isaac and Ethel Green (nee George). She was also predeceased by her husband Cornelius (Con) Chaisson; sons Peter, Paul, James, David; daughter Mary; sons-in-law Wayne Wheeler, Roger Ryan, Mickey Ryan; great-grandson Logan Ryan; granddaughter Debbie Ryan; brothers Ralph (Margaret) Green, Douglas (Alice) Green; sister Rose (Charles) Mills; nephew Ralph Green Jr; and great-nephew Garland Ryan. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Clement (Clem) Darcey Janes slipped away quietly with loved ones close by his side at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Friday, June 15th, 2018 at the age of 81 years. Born in Codroy, NL, Clem was the son of the late Darcey and Maria Janes (nee Parsons). He was predeceased by his sisters Alice (Howard) Moore, Annie (Clem) Reid, Winnie (Tom) Gale; brothers Jim Janes, Arthur (Jessie) Janes, George Janes, Walter Janes, Fred (Lorraine) Janes, Johnny Janes; infant baby William and brother-in-law Bill Samms. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his sister Clara Samms of Stephenville, NL; brother Ralph (Ruth) Janes of Codroy, NL; sister-in-law Meriah Janes of Port aux Basques, NL plus a large circle of nieces and nephews including special nephew Randy (Brenda) Janes of Codroy, NL of which Clem resided with and special friends Nelson and Sharon Samms, Eddie Hilliard, and Ruth Samms. Diane was predeceased by her father Emanuel Short; husband Albert Kettle; brother Henry Short; sister Loraine Short; father and mother-in-law Martin and Annie Kettle (nee Carter); brothers-in-law James Kettle, Ralph Kettle, and Tom Kettle. LOMOND, PERRY DOUGLAS ISREAL
April 23rd, 1964 - June 2nd, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Perry Lomond announce his sudden but peaceful passing at North Cypress Medical Centre in Houston, Texas on Saturday, June 2nd, 2018 at the age of 54 years. Born in Port aux Basques, NL, Perry was the son of the late Maxwell G. and Rebecca (Kitty) Lomond (nee Osmond); sister Debbie Lomond; grandparents Maxwell C (Ivy) Lomond, Emmanuel (Selina) Osmond; and mother-in-law Mildred Samms. Perry leaves behind with fond and loving memories his wife of 25 years Marina (nee Samms); his only child Anthony A. Lomond; and only grandson Luke A. Lomond both of Regina, SK; brother Bruce (Joanne) Osmond Beaverbank NS; sisters Patsy (Jerry) Wall, Wanda Lee (Jim) Blackmore both of Cape Ray, NL, Leann (Jay) Strickland of Port aux Basques, NL. He also leaves behind his father-in-law Frank Samms of Port aux Basques, NL; sisters-in-law Mary Ann (Calvin) Samms of Botwood, NL, Sheila (Rajinder) Samms of Sarina, ON; brothers-in-law Almon (Elmina) Samms of Paradise, NL, Darrell (Wendy) Samms of Port aux Basques, NL, Terry (Pauline) Samms of Deer Lake, NL plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers.
Perry proudly served in the Canadian Military from June 12th, 1981 to September 8th, 1987. He then followed in his father's footsteps and worked with CanMar Canada in the Beaufort Sea until he attended Memorial University in St. John's, NL, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) Degree. He holds an MBA from University of Phoenix in Houston, Texas. He has worked as a Professional Engineer for multiple companies and around the world. He went to work with SCC Environmental in NL and in Nova Scotia later he transferred to M-I SWACO in Houston, Texas, where he was employed for 15 years.
Perry is a proud inventor and owner of several patents and publications. His inventions are successfully utilized in the oil and gas service sector, some that lead the industry globally. He was active in sponsoring and mentoring engineering design projects at the Cullen School of Engineering, U of Houston. He was proud to be working for Halliburton in Houston TX, until his sudden passing.
Perry was resting at the Brookside Cypress Funeral Home in Houston, TX, on Monday, June 4th, 2018 from 4-8 pm, so his Texas friends and co-workers can share their memories and stories of him. Visitation took place on Sunday, June 10th, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., continued on Monday, June 11th, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home Inc., in Port aux Basques, NL from where the funeral service was held on Monday, June 11th, 2018 at 4 p.m. officiated by Rev. George Critchell with interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barchois Hill, NL. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the charity of one's choice. Passed away suddenly on June 23rd, 2018 at the hospital in Baddeck, NS formally from Port aux Basques, NL. He was the son of Garnet Osmond. He was formerly employed with EHS as a paramedic. He volunteered with the Baddeck Fire Department and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 53. He is survived by his wife Joanna Osmond of 32 years along with his two daughters Rebecca and Keshia Osmond, Halifax NS. 2 brothers Derrick Osmond (Allison) Fort McMurry, AB and Thedore Osmond Port aux Basques, NL. 3 sisters Karen Osmond (Bob Blackmore) Port aux Basques, NL, Amanda Simms (Osmond) (Jeff Simms) Davidsville, NL, and Wendy Meade (Osmond) (George Meade) Riverview, NB. His niece Lana Heath. His nephews Zackery Osmond and William Meade (Godson). He is predeceased by his mother Mardee Osmond (Purchase) in February 2003. Cremation has taken place under the care of MacAskill Funeral Home in Baddeck, NS. Visitation was held at his residence in Baddeck, NS on Monday June 25th, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Visitation will be held at East Haven Funeral Home Inc in Port aux Basques, NL on Wednesday, June 27th, 2018 from 5:00 - 8:30 pm with a family service between 8:30 - 9:00 pm. Donations can be made to the family which will then be forwarded on to the Heart and Stroke Foundation

Born in Lindsay, ON, Budd was the son of the late William and Violet Walker (nee Demoe). He was also predeceased by his wife Madge (nee Young); son Allan Walker; brothers Wayne Walker, Gary Walker, Ken (Shirley) Walker; sons-in-law John Addison, Wayne Harvey; and brother-in-law Ronnie Walker.
