STYLES, John (Jack)
January 27, 1932 - June 6, 2007

Passed away peacefully at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 John Styles of Rose Blanche at the age of 75 years. Born at South Branch he was the son of the late Samuel and Agnes (nee Smith) Styles. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Thomas (Annie) Styles and Samuel Styles Jr.; sisters, Elizabeth (Jake) Critchely, Ada (Robert) Carter, Betty Knee and Sarah (Leo) MacNeil. He leaves to mourn his family: brothers, Montford (Ruth) Styles, North Sydney, NS and James (Martha) Styles of Rose Blanche; sister, Hannah (James) Currie of Rose Blanche; brother-in-law, Alex Knee of Port aux Basques; and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation took place on Thursday and Friday at St. Michael's and All Angel's Anglican Church in Rose Blanche. Funeral services took place on Saturday, June 9, 2 p.m. at St. Michael's and All Angels Anglican Church, officiated by Rev. Andrew Nussey. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Anglican Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. Funeral arrangements in the care of East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux Basques, 695-2300.

GREEN, Elizabeth Anne (Matthews)
1927 - 2007

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth Anne (Matthews) Green announce her sudden passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on June 11, 2007 aged 79 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilson C. Matthews in 1970; husband, Kenneth Green in 1995; son, Alfred Matthews in January of 2007; granddaughter, Michelle in 1968; parents, John and Myrtle LeRiche; brother, John G. LeRiche in 1985; sister, Dorothy Anderson in 2001; and her brother, Wilson LeRiche in 2005. She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories her son, Charlie (Dallas) Matthews; daughter, Margaret (Earl) Wall; daughter-in-law, Audrey Matthews; step-children, Nelson Green, Katherine (Carson) King, Luetta (Phillip) Lomond, Marina (Ralph) Wall and Terry (Elsie) Green. Sisters Lorena (Charlie) Anderson and Rose (Owen) Pike, brothers: Jim (Isabel) LeRiche and Don (Shirley) LeRiche. Sister-in-law Katherine LeRiche; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many, many friends. Visitation took place on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Thursday, June 14, 2007, 2 p.m. at St. James' Anglican Church, Channel, officiated by Rev. Canon Hugh Fudge. Interment followed at St. James' Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Funeral arrangements in the care of East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux Basques, 695-2300.

MCISAAC, Maria Regina (Ford)
1963 - 2007

It is with great sadness the family of the late Maria McIsaac announces her passing on June 14, 2007 at the young age of 43 years at the Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Hospital Port aux Basques after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. She leaves to mourn her loving husband, Edward of almost 25 years; daughters, Samantha and Frances (Michael); son, Jonathan; grandchildren, Tiffany and Jamie; loving parents, Cyril and Agnes Ford; brothers, Alexander (Pauline) and Francis; sisters, Valerie (Bob), Dianne (Gerald) Berthelot and Victoria (Dan) Newman; sister-in-law, Debbie; brothers-in-law, Gordon, Martin (Ita), Francis (Linda) and Gerald; sister-in-law, Joan (Kevin) Gale; many loving nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by brother, Cyril; and sister-in-law, Mildred. Church service at The Church of the Precious Blood in St. Andrew’s on Monday, June 18 at 10 a.m. Father Lee Lainey officiating, followed by interment at the RC Cemetery, St. Andrew’s. Donations to charity of choice.
She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

CHILDS, Leah
Ramea, NL
September 30, 1930 - June 19, 2007

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leah Childs announce her peaceful passing at her family residence in Ramea on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at the age of 76 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories: husband, James; daughters, Lillian (Russell) Hatcher, Pasadena; Diann Childs, Ramea; son, Bruce (Norma) Childs, Ramea; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Harry) Hare, Ramea, along with a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Pamela; infant son, James; parents, Adophus and Mary Pink; and brothers and sisters. Friends visited St. Boniface Anglican Church in Ramea all day Thursday and Friday morning from where the funeral service took place on Friday, June 22nd at 2 p.m. Reverend George Childs officiated. Interment followed from the Anglican Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to St. Boniface Anglican Church. LOMOND, Sarah Jane
November 1, 1925 - June 25, 2007

It is with sadness that the family announce the passing of their loved one, Sarah Jane Lomond, on Monday, June 25, 2007 at the age of 81 years. Born at Fox Roost, NL, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Lucy Meade. She was also predeceased by her husband, George Walter Lomond; six brothers, Cecil, Aaron, Victor, Raymond, Wilfred and Gordon; sister, Doris Anderson; brothers-in-law, Ernest Walters and Norman Anderson; sisters-in-law, Terry and Majorie. Sarah Jane leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her three sons, Albert (Barbara), Don (Donna), and George (Madelyn); and her special nephew, Dwight Anderson (Susan); eight grandchildren, Shane, Trudy, Arlene, Kim, Amanda, Steven, Michael and Zachary; four great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Erica, Chad and Mollie; two brothers, Albert (Joyce) of Mount Pearl, NL and Ernest (Melda) of Tompkins; sister, Annabelle Walters of Port aux Basques; three sisters-in-law, Shirley and Eileen of Port aux Basques and Sybina of Gromley Ont.; and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation took place on Tuesday, June 26 and Wednesday, June 27 at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Thursday, June 28, 2 p.m. at St. James’ Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Canon Hugh Fudge. Interment followed St. James’ Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Funeral arrangements in the care of East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux basques, 695-2300.

SPENCE, Ruth Emma
May 27, 1939 - June 29, 2007

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ruth Spence announce her passing at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques on Friday, June 29, 2007 at the age of 68 years. Born at Port aux Basques she was the daughter of the late Emma Spencer Matthews and Stephen Spencer. She was also predeceased by her brother, George Spencer; sister, Eileen (Robert) Rogers; and step-father, Frank Matthews. She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories her family: daughter, Glenda (Peter) of Point-au-Gaul, NL; sister, Pauline (Lorenzo) of Port aux Basques; three grandchildren, Chelsea, Hillary and Patrick of Point-au-Gaul, NL; brothers, Ross (Gertie) of Port aux Basques, Patrick (Mary) of Sydney, NS, Sidney of Nova Scotia, Henry (Josie) of Nova Scotia, Frank (Carol-Ann) of Moncton, NB, Robert (Gloria) of Nova Scotia; Aunt Evelyn Butt of Port aux Basques, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many, many friends. Visitation took place on Friday from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Sunday, July 1, 1 p.m. at St. James’ Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Canon Hugh Fudge. Interment followed at St. James’ Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Funeral arrangements in the care of East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux Basques, 695-2300.
