MCNEIL, Travis Paul Edgar
(1991-2005)

Passed away peacefully at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Thursday June 2, 2005, Travis Paul Edgar McNeil of Port aux Basques at the age of 13 years. Travis was predeceased by both of his grandfathers, Edgar McNeil on September 15, 1991 and John Cecil Gillam on January 29, 1997. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his parents, Paul and Amanda McNeil; little brother, Mitchell; grandmothers, Irene McNeil and Gertie Gillam and a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. Visitation took place on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral service took place on Sunday June 5, 2005 at 2 p.m. at St. James' Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Hugh Fudge. Interment followed at St. James' Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. BOND, Audrey Lillian
1924-2005

Passed away peacefully at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, on Saturday June 4, 2005, Audrey Lillian Bond, age 80 years. She was the daughter of the late Leo and Florence (Richards) Pope. Left to mourn are her husband of 56 years, William; son, Eric (Jean) Pope and their family, granddaughter, Lisa all of St. John's and grandson, Michael (wife Tammy, sons Carter and Chandler) of Edmonton, AB; daughter, Barbara (Gordon White) of Mount Pearl and their family, granddaughter, Lori (Clyde Butt, daughter Jessica and Erin) of Springdale; son-in-law, Herbert Spurrell at Colinet, NL; son-in-law, George Short (Alice), grandson, Colin (Tina, son Daniel); daughter-in-law, Grace Bond, grandson, Dwayne (Joy) and granddaughter-in-law, Kelly Hatcher all of Port aux Basques. Also mourning are sister, Clarissa (George) Hiscock of Conception Bay South, sister-in-law, Janet Handrigan (Stan) of Grand Bank, sister-in-law, Eleanor Robarts, Winsor, NS, brother-in-law, Tom Bond (Carol) and sister-in-law, Joyce Bond all of Halifax, NS, and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband, Michael Pope; her sister, Mary Mullins and husband, Roland; brother-in-law, Albert Bond; brother-in-law, Bill Robarts; and her children: son, Kevin Bond and daughter, Linda (Pope) Short and grandchildren, Craig and Stephen Short. Resting at East Haven Funeral Home, funeral service took place at St. James' Anglican Church, Port aux Basques on Monday, June 6, 2005 at 2 p.m. Interment followed at the Barachois Hill Anglican Cemetery, TCH. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Canadian Diabetes Association, or a charity of one's choice.

WARREN, Albert T. (Bert)
1918-2005

Passed away peacefully at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Saturday, June 4, 2005 in his 86th year. He was the son of the late John H. and Sarah Jane Warren. He was predeceased by his sister, Bessie Anderson, and brother, Dorman. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories, his wife, Caroline (Billard) of 65 years of marriage; his children, Bessie (Garland) Walters, Fox Roost, Kathelene (Enos) Skeard, Port aux Basques, Mildred (Ronald) Maddigan, Corner Brook, David (Roberta) Warren, Fox Roost and Bernice (Matthew) Sweet, Margaree with whom he resided; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. The funeral service took place on Thursday June 7, 2005 at St. Augustine's Anglican Church officiated by Rev. Hubert Vallis. Interment followed at the Church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in the care of East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux Basques, 695-2300.

PAYNE, Trent Joshua
(1984-2005)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Trent Payne of Isle aux Morts announce his passing at Deer Island, New Brunswick on Thursday June 9, 2005. He was predeceased by his brothers, Andrew in 1982, and Tyson in 1983; grandparents, Bernard and Violet Payne, Harold and Myrtle Rose. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his parents, Joshua and Ada Payne of Isle aux Morts; twin sister, Trinda Payne of Isle aux Morts and sister, Dena (Stephen) Clarke and nephew, Andrew Clarke all residing in Ottawa, Doris (Howard) Brown, Mount Pearl, NL, Madeline (Enos) Meade, Isle aux Morts, special friend, Candice Parker, Deer Island, New Brunswick, and a large circle of cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation took place on Tuesday and Wednesday at Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Isle aux Morts. Passed away peacefully at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Thursday, June 9, 2005, Alice Frances MacNeil in her 64th year. She was predeceased by her father, Michael Campbell on April 24, 1981 and her mother, Agnes Campbell (Cox) of October 14, 1995. She leaves to mourn her loving husband of 43 years, Walter MacNeil of St. Andrews, eight children: Robert (Lavina) of Dartmouth, NS, Ada Short (Rick) of Port aux Basques, Anna Collier (Walter) of Dartmouth, NS, Martina Patey (Paul) of Dartmouth, NS, Martin (Michelle) of Dartmouth, NS, Timothy (Sharon) of Searston, Donald (Valerie) of Dartmouth, NS, Wendy (Mark) of Prospect Bay, NS, and ten grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn four sisters: Mary Jane Chaisson of St. Andrews, Kay Samms of Codroy, Margaret Rose Campbell of Glace Bay, NS, and Susan MacIntosh of St. Andrews and a large circle of relatives and friends. Passed peacefully away on Sunday, June 26, 2005 at C.H.C.C. Burgeo, Harry E. Skinner of Ramea, formerly of Richards Harbour at the age of 97 years. Leaving to mourn one son; Harry G. (Carmen) of Port aux Basques; grandchildren, Roland (Meta) of Ramea, Chesley, Helen (Scott Carter), Pauline (Rick Pardy) and Sharon of Ontario, Effie (Jeff Carter), Doris (Henry Taylor), and Joan of Nova Scotia, Marilyn (Gregory Organ) of Baie D'espair, Donna (Norman Sheaves) of Fort McMurray, Harry J. (Eunjung) of Qatar, Judy and Marvin of Port aux Basques, 17 great-grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, nieces, nephews, plus a large number of other relatives and friends. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his wife, Ernestine (nee Gear) of 28 years; daughters, Sylvia Baggs, Halifax, NS, Kathyrn Baggs, St. John's, NL; granddaughter, Krista Baggs; brother, James (Anne) Red Deer, AB, and three other siblings. Passed away peacefully at the extended care unit of the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Monday, June 27, 2005 Emma Martin of Port aux Basques at the age of 85 years. Born in Port aux Basques she was the daughter of the late John T and Mary Gillam (nee Warren), Emma led a very active life, as she was a member of the ACW, LOBA, Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Church choir. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Ronald Martin, and her second husband, Frederick Malcolm Martin; brothers, John Cecil Gillam and Matthew Gillam; sisters, Geraldine Gillam, Lillian Wells (nee Gillam), and Ruth Higdon (nee Gillam). She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter, Shirley (Myron) Sambad, Prince George, British Columbia; grandson, Michael (Esther) Windsor; great-grandsons, Noah and Nathan Windsor all of Vancouver, British Columbia; sister, Louisa Caffiers of Port aux Basques; brother, George (Dulcie) Gillam of Port aux Basques; special friend, Edward Windsor of Vancouver, British Columbia, a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Born in Belloram, Fortune Bay, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Salina Hammans. She was predeceased by her two infant sons, son Benjamin Levi Jr. in 1998, and sister Emily Eade. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories; husband Benjamin Vickers Sr. of 59 years marriage; sons, Charles Jr. (Debbie) Vickers, and James (Elaine) Vickers of Port aux Basques; grandsons, Shawn Vickers (Lisa) Moncton, New Brunswick, Paul Vickers (Rosie) Calgary, Alberta; great-granddaughters, Emily and Megan; stepsister, Lovie Tanner, Halifax, Nova Scotia; brother-in-law, Charles Vickers Sr., Port aux Basques; sister-in-law, Lucy (Jim) Hayward Port aux Basques, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation took place on Thursday from 7-9 p.m.  Friday and Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral service took place on Sunday July 3, 2005 at 2 p.m. at St. James' Anglican Cemetery, Channel officiated by Rev. Hugh Fudge. Interment followed at St. James' Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Funeral arrangements in the care of East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux Basques, 695-2300.
