BILLARD, Cecil George
Aug. 13, 1927 - July 30, 2012
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cecil
George Billard announces his passing on Monday
July 30th, at the age of 84 years.
Born at Grand Bruit NL, Cecil was the son of the late Gilbert and
Julie (Hatcher) Billard. He was also predeceased by his brother Russell
Billard. He leaves to mourn with loving and precious memories brothers
Murray (Coleen) Billard Louisbourg NS, Allen (Betty) Billard Carbonear
NL, Sid (Mary) Billard Corner Brook NL, sister John (Amy) Rose Ottawa
ON, special friends Winston and Diane Blackmore, the Lawrence family
and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. To honor
Cecil's wishes cremation has taken place. Funeral services took place
on Thursday August 2nd, 2 PM at Wesley United Cemetery, Port aux
Basques officiated by Rev Patricia Ritchie. Funeral arrangements

DOMINIE, Glenn
It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Glenn Dominie announces his passing on Wednesday July 18, 2012 at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 57 years. Born at Port aux Basques, Glenn was the son of the late John T (Jack) and Violet (nee Touchings) Dominie. He was also predeceased by his brother Rex Dominie. Left to mourn with many fond and precious memories, his partner in life Tuesday Seymour. Children; Glenda Dominie, Shane Seymour, Jill Seymour, and his precious granddaughter Haylee Dominie Currie. Brother Jack Dominie (Marie) Codroy, Marjorie Willis (Joe), Doris Munden (William) all of Port aux Basques, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many long time friends. To honor Glenn's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation took place at East Haven Funeral Home on August 15, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A celebration of Glenn's life took place on August 16, 2 PM at St. James Anglican Church, officiated by Rev. Hannah Dicks, interment to follow at a later date. Donations in Glenn's memory can be made to the Dr. H Bliss Murphy Cancer Center or to the St. James Elementary Outdoor Classroom Project. DOWNEY, Rosemary
(February 19, 1920 - July 10, 2012)
Passed away peacefully in her home in the Codroy Valley, Rosemary Downey at the age of 92. Her faith in God was absolute. She loved her farming family life. She is survived by Jerome, her husband of 65 years, her children Anne (Joseph) Martin, Marie (Michael) MacChesney, Myles (Leslie), Michael (Martina), Leo (Darla), Leonard (Sandra), Bernard, Mary (Colin) Wilkinson, James (Melanie), John (Annalee), Ella (Will) Cornick, Paula (Dom) Maillet; 38 Grandchildren and 27 Great-granchildren; brother and sisters-in-law, Joe, Theresa, Kathleen, Anne and Lucy as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Friends may visit St. Anne's RC Church in Codroy on Sunday, July 15, between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., from where the funeral service will take place on Monday, July 16 at 10:30 a.m. with interment at Chapel Green Cemetery in Doyles, Father Maurice O'Quinn officiating. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mount St. Thomas Cemetery Fund. Passed away at the Long Term Care Unit at Dr. Charles LeGrow Hospital
in Port Aux Basques on Tuesday, July 3rd, 2012 at the age of 91 years,
Arthur John Farrell, WWII Veteran, 166 Field Regiment, son of Eugene
and Ellen (nee Strickland) Farrell. Leaving to mourn with fond and
precious memories, his loving family: daughters Pat (predeceased
by husband Gordon) Sloan, Lois (Jim) Billard, and Verna (Winston)
Billard; sons Gordon (Linda), and Keith (Connie); grandchildren Trina,
Jamie, Carol, Arthur, Brian, Michelle, Chad, Morgan and Alli; great-grandchildren
Ryan, Lisa, Amber, Judy, Hanna, Maggie, Emma and Grace; brothers:
Henry (predeceased by wife Susie), and Tom (Maud); sisters Anne (Ted)
Ward, Rosie (predeceased by husband Wilfred) Mauger; sister-in-law
Lucy (predeceased by husband William), as well as a large circle
of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Mildred
(1988), infant daughter Barbara; grandson Glen Billard; brothers
Bill, Ron, Gerald and Ralph, and sister Dora Boundy. Cremation has
taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium in Pasadena. The Memorial
Service was held on Friday, July 6th at 2:00 p.m. from Wesley United
Church, Port Aux Basques. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made
to the Long Term Care Facility at Dr. Charles LeGrow Hospital. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Kathleen
LeRiche announces her sudden passing at Dr. Charles L. Legrow Health Center
surrounded by her loving family on Saturday July 28, 2012 at the
age of 73 years. Born at Lapoile, Kathleen was the daughter of the
late John and Adelaide Vautier. She was predeceased by her husband
John G LeRiche in September 1985, sisters Amy Riles, Carrie Stone,
Mildred King, brothers Chesley Vautier, Albert Bond, Walter Vautier,
brothers-in-law Jack King, Kenneth Green, Max Stone, Wilson LeRiche,

Lomond Zillman announces his passing on Thursday

was the son of the late Fred and Margaret Zillman. He leaves to mourn
