GALE, Clement Gerard (Gerry)
(Died July 17, 2011)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clement Gerard Gale announces his passing on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 74 years. Gerry was the son of the late John and Mary Gale. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving wife Marilyn of 53 years marriage, children Gerry Jr., Tom, Wayne, Maureen Beaumont, Rosemary Wysocki and Theresa Gale, grandchildren Shawn, Christopher, Steven, Shawny, Matthew, Veronica, Jim, Krystal, Zach, Somer, Jenna, Tianna, great-grandchildren Madison, Chase and Cruz. Gerry died peaceful surrounded by his loving family; in lieu of flowers please send donations to Salvation Army. To honor his wishes cremation has taken place, we always remember you, and you are forever in our hearts and thoughts; love from your family. The celebration of Gerry's life was held in South Branch NL at the Social Club. He was proud to be from Newfoundland and the Jigg's dinner was the final good bye to him by his family. KEEPING, Hiram
January 31, 1947 - July 13, 2011
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hiram Keeping announces his passing at the age of 64 on Wednesday, July 13 at the Dr. Charles L. Legrow Health Center after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Hiram was the son of the late Percy and Lily Keeping. Hiram was also predeceased by brothers Donald and Lorne, brothers-in-law James Francis and Reg Dominie. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Shirley of 41 years, daughter Judy (Maurice Best), son Robin, granddaughters Danica, Gabrielle, Victoria and Olivia all of Almonte ON, brother Victor (Sharron) Victoria, nieces and nephews Charles, Melanie, Tammy, Melissa, Mitchell and their families, sisters-in-law Ruby Webber Winnipeg MB, Judy (Ervin) Francis Harbour Le Cou, Maude Francis Port aux Basques and Bessie Dominie Rose Blanche, brothers-in-law Gus (Mable) Dominie Strathmore AB, Cecil (Ann) Dominey Kingston ON, Winston (Mable) Dominie Wilmot NS, Walter (Barbara) Dominie Deer Lake, Gerald (Trudi) Dominie Salmon Cove and a number of nephews, nieces, aunts, cousins and many friends. Visitation took place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from St. George's Anglican Church in Burnt Islands. Funeral service took place on Sunday July 17, 3:30 PM at St George's Anglican Church Burnt Islands officiated by Rev. Duncan Granter. LeRICHE, Robert James (Bob)
July 1, 1958 - July 24, 2011

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bob LeRiche announces his sudden passing on Sunday July 24th, at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center in Port aux Basques at the age of 53 years. Bob was predeceased by his grandparents Sarah and Frederick Keeping,and Edgar and Alice Maude LeRiche. Loving father to his sons; Andre and Michael. He will also be sadly missed by his parents Ralph and Ruth LeRiche of Port aux Basques. His brothers; Edgar (Loretta) LeRiche, Frederick (Judy) LeRiche all of Port aux Basques. Terrance (Sherry) LeRiche of Middle Sackville NS, and his sister Madonna (Tom) Osmond of South Branch. Nieces and nephews; Michelle, Tammy, Tara, Chris, Corey, Jenna, Jenelle, Jamie, Brandon, Robert, Melissa, and Travis. His special buddies Tom Tobin, Richard Anderson, and a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends. Visitation took place on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Wednesday July 27, 2 PM at St. James Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Louise Richards. Interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. MATTHEWS, Charlie J.
(January 26, 1942 - July 6, 2011)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Charlie John Matthews announces his passing on Wednesday, July 6 at Dr. Charles L. Legrow Center at the age of 69 years. Born in Port aux Basques Charlie was the son of the late Maude and Thomas Matthews of Grand Bay. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving and devoted wife Pauline of 49 years marriage, his only son Craig (Sharon), grandchildren Dylan and Brianna Red Deer, AB, adopted mom Hazel Kettle (friend Harry Lafosse) Grand Bay, sister Carrie Walters Port aux Basques, Bernice White Port aux Basques, brothers Isaac Matthews (Irene) Rocky Harbour, Eneas Lomond (Linda) Margaree, Junior Kettle (Wanda) Grand Bay, mother-in-law Olive Kettle Grand Bay, brothers-in-law Walter Kettle (Nancy) MacDougall's, Kenny Kettle Grand Bay, Kevin Kettle (Joyce) Red Deer AB, sister-in-law Brenda Anderson (Bert) Grand Bay also a large number of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Visitation took place on Thursday from 7-9 PM and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Saturday, July 9 2 PM from St. Paul's Anglican Church Grand Bay officiated by Rev. Peter Boote. Interment followed at St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery Trans Canada Highway. PIKE, Philip
June 30, 1922 - July 9, 2011
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Philip Pike announces his passing at the age of 89, on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Dr. Charles L. Legrow Center. Born in Port aux Basques, Philip was the son of late William and Elizabeth Pike. He was also predeceased by his wife Ida Pike, daughter Elsie Pike, 21 sisters and brothers. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his family: son Milton (Kathleen) Pike Saint John NB, daughters Shelia (Larry) Boyles Saint John NB, Queen (Frank) Roberge Stephenville Crossing, Katie Tucker (Joe) Gallants, special grandson Philip Boyles with whom he resided, 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. To honor his wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation took place on Monday July 11, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home in Port aux Basques. Funeral services took place at East Haven Funeral Home, on Tuesday July 12, 2011 at 2 PM, officiated by Captain Paul Brake. Interment followed at Salvation Army Cemetery, TCH. ROBERTS, Joseph Marc
(July 2, 1983 - July 31, 2011)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marc Roberts announces his passing on Sunday, July 30th, at the age of 28 years. Marc was predeceased by grandparents Hartley and Eva Roberts and uncle Andre` Synnott. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving family; daughter Madison Roberts-Blackmore, mother Darlene Roberts, father Yves Synnott, brothers Michael Roberts, Ryan Synnott, sister Kelsy Synnott, grandparents Walter and Rolande Synnott and a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and a large circle of friends. Visitation took place on Monday August 8th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Wednesday August 10, 2 PM at the St. James Anglican Church Channel officiated by Rev. Hannah Dicks. Interment to follow at a later date. TUCKER, Lloyd
Port aux Basques, NL
August 2, 1929 - July 22, 2011

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lloyd Tucker announces his passing on Friday, July 22, 2011 at Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques at the age of 81 years. He will be sadly missed by his companion Debbie Peters; sister Margaret (Gordon) Eddy, Sibley's Cove; cousins: Marina (Gordon) Osmond, Hampton; Clara (Reg) Jones, Mount Pearl; Florence (Albert) Burt, Old Perlican; and Morgan Tucker, Bell River, ON; brother-in-law Bill Seaward, St. John's; and a large circle of friends/ Visitation took place at Fillatre's Funeral Home on Sunday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. The Funeral Service was held on Monday, July 25 at 2 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, officiated by Rev. Hannah Dicks and Rev. Louise Richards. Interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted.
