ANDERSON, JOHN SAMUEL
Dec. 11, 1944 - July 4, 2009

It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Samuel Anderson announces his passing on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in his 64th year. He will be sadly missed by his son Dana (Barb) of Dartmouth, N.S.; four brothers Ross (Joyce) of Parsons Pond, George (Mary) of Woodpoint, Gordon (Vivian) and Sidney Jr. (Cindy) both of Brampton, Ont.; three sisters Vivian (Philip Payne) of Parson Pond, Doreen Targett of Corner Brook and Daisy (Jerome Murray) of Brampton, Ont., and a large circle of relatives and friends. Visitation took place on Tuesday, July 7 at Holy Spirit Church in Isle aux Morts, funeral services was held on Wednesday, July 8 at 2 p.m. with Canon Duncan Granter officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home in Port aux Basques.

PARSONS, VIVIENNE
Rose Blanche, NL
April 11,1931 - July 9, 2009

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Vivienne Parsons announce her passing at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at the age of 78 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, sons, Clarence (Debbie) Parsons and Wilfred (Wanda) Parsons; daughters Linda (Peter) Neil and Blanche (Clayton) Harris; eight grandchildren; 12 grandchildren; brothers, Ernest (Shirley) Hatcher of Rose Blanche and Ralph (Joan) Hatcher of Glace Bay, N.S., and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred; sisters, Nina Simms and Florence Alien; brothers, Phillip Hatcher, Clarence Hatcher; grandchildren, Donnie Harris and Holly Parsons and daughter-in-law Linda Parsons. Friends visited St. Michael's Anglican Church in Rose Blanche on Saturday and Sunday from where the funeral service took place on Monday, July 13 at 11 a.m. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery. BUTTON, EDWIN PHILIP
Port aux Basques, NL
Nov. 6, 1961 - July 12, 2009

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edwin Philip Button announce his sudden passing at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at the age of 47 years. Leaving to mourn are his mother, Bridget Button; sister, Maisie (Ches) Frampton; brother, Reg (Myrtle) Button; special friend, Cindy Pink (Chelsea); nieces, Crystal, Amanda and Faith; nephews, Darren and Mark and a large circle of friends. He was predeceased by his father, Oscar Button. Friends visited Fiilatre's Funeral Home, Port aux Basques on Tuesday and Wednesday between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service took place at St. James' Anglican Church on Thursday, July 16 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Mary Ann Boote officiating. Interment followed at St. James' Anglican Cemetery. As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the charity of ones choice. Bobbett, Irene Beatrice
May 2, 1925-July 20, 2009

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Irene Beatrice Bobbett announces her passing on Monday, July 20, 2009 at the Dr. Charles L. f LeGrow Health Center at the age of 84 years. Born in Port aux Basques, Irene was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Pike. She was also predeceased by her husband, William Bobbett; son, Phillip Bobbett; and sons-in-law, Wilson Hynes and Lewis Battiste. She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories her lov-ing family: daughters, Bernadine Hoskins (Jerome) of Port aux Basques, Audrey Hynes of Lewisporte and Mary Battiste of Port aux Basques; sons, Kenny Bobbett (Cluda) and Elroy Bobbett (Linda), all of Port aux Basques; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother Phillip Pike; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation took place on July 21 and 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Salvation Army Citadel, Grand Bay, officiated by Captains Paul and Michelle Blake. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Trans-Canada Highway. Funeral arrangements were in the care of East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux Basques, 695-2300. www.easthavenfuneralhome.com
