It is with great sadness that the family of the late Thomas Reuben Coley announce
his passing on Monday, July 3rd, 2006 on the Acute Care at Charles
LeGrow Health Centre, at the age of 77 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and
loving memories his wife of 55 years, Alfreda; 9 children: Thomas (Alice), Isle
aux Morte, Ernest (Michelle), Isle aux Morte, Ellen (John), Corner Brook, Milly
(Ron), Grey River, Henry (Leona), Rose Blanche, Dennis (Kim), Isle aux Morte,
Judy, Port aux Basques, Alice (Bob), Port aux Basques, Ward (Ada), Halifax, NS;
22 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers: Michael (Maryann) Coley, John
(Margaret) Coley and Cecil Coley, as well as a large circle of other relatives
and friends. He was predeceased by parents William and Ellen Jane Coley; his
two sons: Sandy and Arthur Coley; brother Sandy Coley and granddaughter Jeannie
Parsons. Friends may visit Holy Spirit Church, Isle aux Morte on Tuesday 2-4
p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from
where the Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, July 6th at 2:00 p.m.
Reverend Duncan Granter officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Haven
Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations

Passed away peacefully at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Monday,
July 10, 2006, Lawrence Anderson at the age of 67 years. Born at Burgeo he was
the son of the late Charles and Bertha Jane (Nee Marks) Anderson. He was also
predeceased by his sisters, Elsie Keeping and Naomi White; step-brothers, James
Henry Parsons and Sam Anderson. He leaves to mourn with precious memories, his

July 10, 2006 Maggie Osmond at the age of 81 years. Born at Isle aux Morts, Maggie
was the daughter of the late Beatrice and Emmanuel Samms, she was also predeceased
by her husband, Cecil Eric Osmond; and brothers, Bill Samms, Randall Samms and
Clifford Samms. She leaves to mourn her loving family: daughter, Crenia (Austin)
Surette of Yarmouth, NS; granddaughter, Rona (Corey); grandson, Rex (Noreen);

July 10, 2006 Gordon Smith of South Branch at the age of 81 years. Born at South
Branch, he was the son of the late John and Julia (nee McIsaac) Smith. He was
also predeceased by his wife, Cleophus (Brake) Smith; children, Wallace Smith

Passed away suddenly, at his residence in Rose Blanche on July 13,
2006 Ross Spicer at the age of 61 years. He was the son of the late Cassie and Henry
Spicer. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his common-law wife,
Nina; and her son, Dustin; sisters, Maud (John) Dobbin, Minnie (Rodney) Francis;

Passed away peacefully at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Center on Monday,
July 17th, 2006, George L. Gillam in his 81st year.
Born in Port aux Basques, he was the son of the late John T. and Mary Gillam
(nee Warren). George served with both the Royal Canadian Army and the Royal Canadian
Navy. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 11, for many
years. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving wife Dulcie
(nee Pearce) of 60 years; 9 children: Roland, Elaine (Eric) Chaulk, New Brunswick,
Linda (Emanuel) Lawrence, Isaac (Lori Ann), Geraldine (William) Fudge, Sandra
(Roger) Osmond, Donna (Don) Payne, David (Mary), Roxanne (Melvin) Fiander, St.
