COLEY, Thomas Reuben
Isle aux Morte, NL
November 21, 1928 - July 3, 2006

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Thomas Reuben Coley announce his passing on Monday, July 3rd, 2006 on the Acute Care at Charles LeGrow Health Centre, at the age of 77 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 55 years, Alfreda; 9 children: Thomas (Alice), Isle aux Morte, Ernest (Michelle), Isle aux Morte, Ellen (John), Corner Brook, Milly (Ron), Grey River, Henry (Leona), Rose Blanche, Dennis (Kim), Isle aux Morte, Judy, Port aux Basques, Alice (Bob), Port aux Basques, Ward (Ada), Halifax, NS; 22 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers: Michael (Maryann) Coley, John (Margaret) Coley and Cecil Coley, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents William and Ellen Jane Coley; his two sons: Sandy and Arthur Coley; brother Sandy Coley and granddaughter Jeannie Parsons. Friends may visit Holy Spirit Church, Isle aux Morte on Tuesday 2-4 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, July 6th at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Duncan Granter officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Thanks go out to Arch Osmond, Fillatre's Staff, Dr. Mosawe and the great nurses & staff at Charles LeGrow Health Centre for their kind help. 1939 -2006

Passed away peacefully at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Monday, July 10, 2006, Lawrence Anderson at the age of 67 years. Born at Burgeo he was the son of the late Charles and Bertha Jane (Nee Marks) Anderson. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Elsie Keeping and Naomi White; step-brothers, James Henry Parsons and Sam Anderson. He leaves to mourn with precious memories, his loving partner, Jane Allen; his children, Larry (Mary) Anderson of St. Andrew's, David Anderson of Wawa, ON, Diane (Harry) Elias of London, ON, Major James (Darlene) Anderson of Stephenville, NL, Connie (John) Courtney of Welland, ON, Sandra Anderson (John) of St. John's, NL; daughter-in-law, Laura Ferrera; stepchildren, Vanessa (Derick) Farrell of Port aux Basques, Jonathan (Tanya) Allen of Halifax, NS; grandchildren, Lori, Aleisha, Joshua, Nadia, Sarah, Amanda, Meghan, Jamelia, Ryan, Danielle, Daniel, Madison, Marcus and Sarah; brothers-in-law, Herbert Keeping and Morgan White of Port aux Basques, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. OSMOND, Maggie
1924-2006

Passed away peacefully at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Monday, July 10, 2006 Maggie Osmond at the age of 81 years. Born at Isle aux Morts, Maggie was the daughter of the late Beatrice and Emmanuel Samms, she was also predeceased by her husband, Cecil Eric Osmond; and brothers, Bill Samms, Randall Samms and Clifford Samms. She leaves to mourn her loving family: daughter, Crenia (Austin) Surette of Yarmouth, NS; granddaughter, Rona (Corey); grandson, Rex (Noreen); and great-granddaughters, Brittany and Calista of Port aux Basques; sisters-in-law, Marie Pike and family of Port aux Basques, Myrtle (Patrick) Naugle and family of Nova Scotia, Marge (Sandy) Osmond and family, Alma Samms and family of Port aux Basques, Martha Osmond of Port aux Basques; family friends, Elizabeth Bowles of Nova Scotia, Paulette Osmond, Angus McQuarrie of Doyles, Ivy (Jack) Collier, Irene Bobbett and June Ford of Port aux Basques and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Passed away at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Monday, July 10, 2006 Gordon Smith of South Branch at the age of 81 years. Born at South Branch, he was the son of the late John and Julia (nee McIsaac) Smith. He was also predeceased by his wife, Cleophus (Brake) Smith; children, Wallace Smith and Diane Smith; brothers, Arch Smith, George Smith and Charlie Smith. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children, Donalda (Norman) Osmond of Port aux Basques, Audrey English (Roddie MacIsaac) of Doyles, Sheila (Raymond) AuCoin of St. John, NB, Allan (Sharon) Smith of Scarborough, ON, Cyril (Linda) Smith of Fort McMurray, AB, Guy (Elaine) Smith of Cold Brook, Joslyn (Larry) Corscadden of St. John, NB, Arlene LeRiche of St. John, NB, Colleen (Steve) Clayton of London, ON, Dean Smith of Lloydminster, AB, Randy Smith of Fort McMurray, AB, Rodney (Samantha) Smith of Corner Brook, NL; 27 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Andrew Smith of South Branch, John (Cecilia) Smith of Stephenville, NL, Reg (Susan) Smith of Timberly ON; sister, Elizabeth Felix of Stephenville, NL; sisters-in-law, Margarete Smith, Evelyn Smith and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Rose Blanche
1944 - 2006

Passed away suddenly, at his residence in Rose Blanche on July 13, 2006 Ross Spicer at the age of 61 years. He was the son of the late Cassie and Henry Spicer. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his common-law wife, Nina; and her son, Dustin; sisters, Maud (John) Dobbin, Minnie (Rodney) Francis; brothers William (Eva), Winston (Darlene), Truro, NS, Roland (Leah), Rueben (Verna), Roy (Maxine) Pierce, Barry (Elizabeth), Scott (Darlene) Glace Bay, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Visitation took place on Friday and Saturday at St. Michael’s Anglican Church from where funeral service was held on Sunday, July 16, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Rev. George Critchell officiating. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port aux Basques. Born at La Poile she was the daughter of the late Adelaide and John Vautier. Born in Ramea, she was the daughter of the late Horatio and Elizabeth (nee Kendall) Walters. She was also predeceased by her husband, Harold Dominey in October of 1993; sister, Gladys Cramm; and brother, William Walters. She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories, her loving children, Clyde (Roslyn) Dominey Pasadena, NL, Garfield (Marjorie) Dominie Isle aux Morts, Ethel (Cecil) Barter Burgeo, NL, Wilson Thelma Dominey Isle aux Morts, Cecil (Sandra) Dominey Brampton, ON and Mary (Larry) LeFrense of Fox Roost; 11 grandchildren, Michelle, Paul Marcelle, Chuck, Daphne, Scott, Jonathan, Stephen, Colleen, Christopher and Colin; five great-grandchildren, Paula, Joshua, Bailey, Nathan and Kaitlyn; sisters, Beatrice (Edward) Oake Massey Drive, NL, Hazel Meade Fox Roost, Nora (Herman) Devon Ontario, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends and her special friends at Mountain Hope Manor. COLEMAN, Mary Ann
(1920 - 2006)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Ann Coleman announce her passing at LeGrow Health Centre in Port Aux Basques on Saturday, July 15th, 2006 at the age of 85 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories daughter Katherine Coleman; 2 grandchildren: Dawn Harvey and Clifford Harvey; 3 great-grandchildren: Victoria, Anna and Emma; life long friend Edith Seymour; brother Clayton Lillington Sr; sisters-in-law Edith (Frank) King and Meta (Churchill) Coleman; special niece Kimberly Hussey, as well as a large circle of family and friends. Predeceased by husband Benjamin Coleman; parents Nelson and Susanna (nee Knott) Lillington; brother Abbott Lillington; 4 sisters: Doris Macdonald, Rachael Harvey, Elizabeth Lefrense and Una Lillington; 4 brothers-in-law and 3 sisters-in-law. Friends visited the family residence in Isle Aux Morte on Sunday and Monday. The Funeral Service took place at Holy Spirit Anglican Church, Isle Aux Morte, on Tuesday, July 18th at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery in Margaree. Reverend Duncan Granter officiated. Expressions of sympathy were made through flowers or memorial donations to a charity of one’s choice. 1924 - 2006

Passed away peacefully at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Center on Monday, July 17th, 2006, George L. Gillam in his 81st year. Born in Port aux Basques, he was the son of the late John T. and Mary Gillam (nee Warren). George served with both the Royal Canadian Army and the Royal Canadian Navy. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 11, for many years. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving wife Dulcie (nee Pearce) of 60 years; 9 children: Roland, Elaine (Eric) Chaulk, New Brunswick, Linda (Emanuel) Lawrence, Isaac (Lori Ann), Geraldine (William) Fudge, Sandra (Roger) Osmond, Donna (Don) Payne, David (Mary), Roxanne (Melvin) Fiander, St. Catherines, ON; 25 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sister Louisa Caffier, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his grandson Paul Gillam; sisters: Emma Martin, Geraldine Gillam, Lillian Wells and Ruth Higdon; brothers: John Cecil and Matthew. Visitation took place on Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm from Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port aux Basques.
