It is with great sadness that the family of the late Louis Savery announces his passing at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Friday, July 1, 2005 in his 79th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his wife, Winnie of 55 years; children, Elizabeth (Sam) Lomond, Edward (Joanne) of Enfield, NS, Elaine (Tim) Pike; grandchildren, Robert (Dale) Lomond, of Codroy, Angela Savery (Glen Grandy) of Dartmouth, NS; Dawn Pike and Corey Lomond; great-grandchildren, Blake and Devon Lomond; sister, Ada McCann of Toronto; brothers, Albert Savery, Ulrick Savery (Joan); sisters-in-law, Shirley (Gerald) Poole, of Stephenville, Carolyn (Robert) Chaulk, of Charlottetown, NL; special friends, Johnny and Jamie Purchase and Fred Blackmore, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, George and Julie Savery; sisters, Lillian Buchanan and Clarice Nash; brothers, George and Thomas; father and mother-in-law, Edward and Elizabeth Andrews; brothers-in-law, John Buchanan, Garfield Nash, and Danny McCann; sisters-in-law, Lena, Elsie and Marion Savery. Visitation took place from Fillatre's Funeral Home on Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held on Monday, July 4, 2005 at 2 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church with Rev. PEARCE, Maria Jane
(1928-2005)

Passed peacefully away at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Sunday, July 3, 2005 Maria Jane Pearce of Port aux Basques at the age of 76 years. Born in Margaree she was the daughter of the late Edward and Susannah Taylor. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Joseph Pearce in October of 1996; sisters, Annie Styles, Irene Ford, Melinda Osmond and Harriet Osmond. She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories, her loving children, Donald (Suzanne), Moncton, New Brunswick, Clarence (Diane), Margaree, Melinda (Edgar) White, Codroy Valley, Donna (Al) Comeau, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Bertha (Carl) Gale, Carolann (Art) LeRiche, and Susan (Bruce) Goulding, of Port aux Basques; 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation took place on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at 2 p.m. at St. James' Anglican Church, Channel, officiated by Rev. Hugh Fudge. 1909-2005

Passed away at his residence in Rose Blanche on July 7, 2005, Augustus Hatcher at the age of 95 years. Born at Rose Blanche he was the son of the late Amelia and John Hatcher. Gus was also predeceased by his brothers: Henry, John (Florence), Joe (Nina), Isreal, Wilson, Tom, Charles and sisters: Hannah, Georgina and Dora. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Beatrice of 61 years of marriage, sons: Israel (Mildred) of Rose Blanche Augustus of Glace Bay, NS, grandchildren: Barry (Chrystal) of Halifax, Theresa (Albert) Cox of Halifax, Damien (Sherry) of Glace Bay, NS and Hannah of Glace Bay, NS, great-grandchildren: Michaela and Michael, sisters-in-law: Myrtle Hatcher, Annabelle Hatcher, Lillian Hatcher all of Rose Blanche, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation took place at St. Michael's and All Angels Church, Rose Blanche on Friday and Saturday. WARREN, Jessie
1919-2005

Passed away peacefully at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Thursday, July 7, 2005, Jessie Warren of Isle aux Morts at the age of 85 years. Born at Fox Island she was the daughter of the late Mariah and Hughie Hayman. Jessie was also predeceased by her husband Emanuel in 1998 and infant daughter Maisie. She leaves to mourn her loving children: Calvin (Annabelle) of Brampton, Ont., Wilfred of Halifax, NS, Edwin (Kay) of Isle aux Morts, Lorne of Cow Head, Brenda (Earl) Brenton and Beulah (Roger) Billard all of Fort St. John, BC, ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, twin brother Benjamin Hayman of Isle aux Morts and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation took place at Holy Spirit Anglican Church, Isle aux Morts on Friday and Saturday. Funeral services took place on Sunday, July 10, 2005 at 4 p.m. at Holy Spirit Church officiated by Rev. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dorothy Stone announces her passing at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Thursday, July 7, 2005 in her 68th year. She leaves to mourn with precious memories her sisters: Rita Sheaves, and Bernice (Albert) Osmond, Brother: Herbert Stone and Maxwell (Carrie) Stone, as well as a large circle of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Annie and Franklin Stone formerly of West Point. Visitation took place from Fillatre's Funeral Home on Friday and Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held on Sunday July 10 at 2 p.m. from Wesley United Church with Rev. P. William was a Navy Veteran who served for his country during World War II. He also was an active member in the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 11, Channel-Port aux Basques. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving wife Phyllis (nee Parsons) of 56 years, daughter Jean Law (Wayne) of Halifax, son-in-law: John Dawe, Halifax, Daughter-in-law: Barbara Anthony, St. John's, grandchildren: Brent Law (Jennifer) Halifax, Craig Law (Cheryl) Halifax, Jonathan Anthony (Kim) Ontario, Jennifer Anthony, St. John's, Sherry Kibbler (Brian) Edmonton, Kelly Dawe (Ryan) Edmonton, great-grandson: Zachary Law; brothers-in-law: Jim Parsons and Max Parsons (Violet), sister-in-law Elsie, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends. He is predeceased by son Charlie, daughter Angela, sisters Sadie, Julia and Stella, brothers George, Norman and John. Born at Boxey, Fortune Bay, she was the daughter of the late Annie and Aaron Keeping. Marjorie was also predeceased by her husband, Gordon on 2001; and brother, Simeon John Keeping. She leaves to mourn her loving children, John (Carrie) of Bay Roberts, Gladys Jones (Howard) of Truro, NS, Gordon (Marilyn) of Cape Ray and Winston (Marsha) of Dartmouth, NS; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brother, Max (Diane) Keeping of NS; sister, Kay Carter of Port aux Basques; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Keeping of NS, Gladys Ingram of Burgeo, Irene Greenough of Calgary and Jane Lomond of Port aux Basques and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. John passed away peacefully, July 11, 2005, at the Lakeridge Health Care Centre in Oshawa, ON. Born in Port aux Basques, the son of John and Francis (Childs) Allen, he was also predeceased by his brother Wilson and sister Elsie. He leaves to mourn his wife, May; daughters Tina (Bill) Andreadis of Mississauga, ON, Angela (Josh) Sojcznski of Oshawa, ON; sons Mark of Calgary, AL, John Jr. of Toronto, ON; six grandchildren; brother, Edgar (Marina) Allen; sisters, Marion (Norman) Osmond, Christina (John) Spencer of Port aux Basques and Subina (Ken) Forsyth of Manitoba; one aunt and uncle, John and Annie (Allen) Macdonald of Port aux Basques and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services was held July 25, 2005 at St. James' Anglican Church, officiated by Rev. Hugh Fudge and Rev. Canon Ralph Billard, with interment at the St. James' Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill.

He leaves to mourn his loving wife Bessie of 53 years of marriage and six children: Gordon (Lucille) of Wellington, PEI, Henry of Brooks, Alb., Wayne (Sheila) of North Bay, Ont., Diane (Albert) Kettle, Rick (Ada), Alisa (Jeff) Chard, all of Port aux Basques, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Brothers: George (Ada) Short of Pasadena, Cecil Short and Ernest (Emily) Short of Cape Ray and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation took place on Tuesday at 7-9 p.m., Wednesday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home. Miller, Omaha, Nebraska as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. She is predeceased by a loving husband, Alphonsus Gale; parents, William and Alice Noseworthy (nee Parsons); four sisters, Mary Samms, Jean Miller, Sue Bowman, and Dorothy Noseworthy; four brothers, Jack, James, Stephen and Lawrence  Noseworthy. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Trina; and one son, Gregory; two daughters, Aimee and Isabelle; and his parents, Robert and Shirley Gignac of Lewisporte; two sisters, Chantal (Len) Rich of Lewisporte, Danielle Gignac (Jeffery Young) of St. John's; grandparents, Jim and Ina Sheaves of St. John's; one niece, Cassidy Rich; three nephews, Kyle, Joshua, Zachary O'Keefe; father-in-law, Calvin Bragg; mother-in-law, Dorothy Bragg of Port aux Basques; sister-in-law, Trudy O'Keefe of Mount Pearl, and a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. Cremation service took place at Russell's Crematorium, Stephenville. Visitation took place at Russell's Funeral Home, 39 Queen Street, Stephenville on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service took place on Thursday, July 21 at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen's Parish, West Street, Stephenville with interment at the St. Michael's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Barachois Hill, Port aux Basques. Born at Port aux Basques he was the son of the late Blanche and Albert Hardy. He was also predeceased by his brother, Jackie; mother-in-law, and father-in-law, Willoughby and Maisie Pike; brothers-in-law, Frank and William Pike. Alex leaves to mourn his loving wife Jane of 49 years marriage; daughters, Doreen (Jim) Lane of Port aux Basques and Raylene (Jimmie) Strickland of Lower Sackville, NS; grandchildren, Jimmy Lane (Yvonne) and Jeremy Lane of Port aux Basques, Samantha Leo and Mackenzie Strickland of Lower Sackville, NS; sisters, Winnie (Clyde) Buttery and Mary (Max) Farrell of Port aux Basques; brother, Randell (Eileen) Hardy of Halifax, NS; sister-in-law, Joan (Nelson) Bragg, Cook (Leo) Strickland, Jocelyn (Rick) Leamon, Mary Pike and Marg Pike all of Port aux Basques and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her husband, Alfred in 1980; parents, James and Louise Dominie; children, Alfreda and William; brothers, William and James and by sons-in-law, Winston Hatcher and Harry Hardy. Visitation was held at the St. Michael and All Saints Anglican Church, Rose Blanche, from where the funeral service took place on Friday, July 29, at 3 p.m. with Rev. Hubert Vallis officiating. Interment followed at the Hillside Haven Cemetery, Margaree. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
