COFFIN, Elizabeth (Betty)
Passed on: January 3rd, 2018

Passed peacefully away on January 3, 2018 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's. Predeceased by her parents, William and Mary Antle, her three brothers, Ernest, Gerald and Cyril Antle and her sister, Maureen Henseleit. Also predeceased by her loving Husband, Nathan Coffin and beautiful daughter, Natalie. Leaving to mourn her daughter, Kimberly (Darrin Moriarity) and two wonderful grandsons, Justin and William Moriarity. Also leaving to mourn sisters, Agnes Brien, Dorothy Ryan (Michael), Helen Antle and brother, Ronald Antle, In-laws, David and June Butt, Patrick and Brenda Butt, Lorna Carmichael, Loretta Butt, Margaret Antle and Bernd Henseleit as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, family and special friends. Special thanks to the staff at St. Luke's Home who provided fantastic care and compassion to Elizabeth during her stay there. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, Lemarchant Road, St. John's. Visitation Saturday January 6th from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass was held at Corpus Christi Church on Waterford Bridge Road on Monday, January 8th, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. Internment followed at Kilbride Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Elizabeth's memory may be made to the Lupus Society of Newfoundland.

COLLIER, Alice Sheila
Born: April 9th, 1964
Passed on: January 24th, 2018

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Alice Sheila Collier (nee Shears) announces her sudden passing at her residence in Cape Anguille, NL on Wednesday, January 24th, 2018 at the age of 53 years. Born in Port aux Basques, NL, Alice was the daughter of the late Edward and Florence Shears. She was also predeceased by her three infant sisters, niece Tracy Hillard, nephew Christopher Shears and several aunts and uncles. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving husband of 29 years James Collier, daughters Jody Lynn (Dwayne) Downey, Terri-Lee (Darrell) Fiander, godchild Jeremy Janes, and her grandchild Alyssa Downey all of Codroy, NL, brother Jim (Leona) Kendall of Port aux Basques, NL, sisters Jane (Reginald) Skinner of Main Brook, NL, Delores (Walter) Janes of Codroy, NL, Nora Musseau of Stephenville, NL, Linda (George) Janes and Kimberly (Benjamin) Hillard both of Codroy, NL, plus a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In keeping with Alice's wishes a private family visitation took place with cremation followed with a memorial service and interment to take place at a later date. No flowers as per request and donations could be made to the family. COLLIER, Sherry Ann
1956-2018

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sherry Ann Collier announces her passing on Thursday, January 25, 2018. She passed with her loving family by her side at Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques at the age of 61 years. Born in Burnt Islands, she was the daughter of Myrtle (Hardy) and late Sidney Chaulk. She will be forever remembered and loved by her husband of 40 years, Gus; her mother, Myrtle Chaulk; her sons, Scott (Angela) Collier, Corner Brook and Sheldon (Kristylee) Collier, Port-aux-Basques; her pride and joy grandson, Knox and granddaughter, Kenzie; sisters, Wendy (Brad) Kehoe, Burlington, Ontario, and Wilma Lee Taylor, Burnt Islands; brother, David (Georgina) Chaulk, Burnt Islands, and mother-in-law, Lydia Collier; sister-in-law, Nancy Collier Worobec, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Sherry was predeceased by her father, Sidney Chaulk and father-in-law, Martin Collier. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Fillatre's Funeral Home and continuing on Sunday, January 28th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at St. Michael's and All Angels Church in Rose Blanche; with funeral service taking place on Monday, January 29th at 11:00 a.m at St. Michael's and All Angels Church, with Rev. Jeffrey Petten officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle-aux-Morts Road. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in memory of Sherry can be made to Daffodil Place, 70 Ropewalk Lane, St. John's, NL. CURRIE, Abram Clifford
November 2, 1939 - January 22, 2018

Passed peacefully at the Labrador West Health Centre, in the presence of his family, on Monday, January 22, 2018, ABRAM CLIFFORD CURRIE, at the age of 78. Known as Abe to his family and friends, he was pre-deceased by his parents James & Carrie Currie, wife Mary Currie, sons Danny Currie and Abe Currie, and step-grandson Rene Boudreault. Leaving to mourn his loss, with loving memories, are: his loving partner Joan Wilson; daughter Pauline (Dave) Woodman; son Mike (Marilyn) Currie; grandchildren Robert, Matthew and Danielle Woodman, Tracie Boudreault, Amanda and Miranda Currie, Abigail and Abram Currie, Shantel Pelley; great-grandchildren Emma, Keira, Melissa, Hailey and Alex Woodman; sisters Grace Handlin, Pauline Johnston, Joan (Ron) Antle; brother Jim (Janet) Currie; and his loyal canine companion Shelby. Abe will also be missed by his extended Wilson family - Nancy (Dale Hawkins), Lynne (Joanna Lucas), William (Trudy, Lauren and Mollie), and Kristina (Kirk, Joshua George); as well as numerous friends and colleagues in Labrador West, Port aux Basques, and Codroy Valley. A devoted union man, Abe retired from IOCC in 1999 after many years of service to the company and the United Steelworkers of America Local 5795. Funeral service took place at St. Paul's Anglican Church in Labrador City on Thursday, January 25 at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Abe's memory to a charity of your choice.

DICKS, Elizabeth Ann
Born: June 13th, 1950
Passed on: January 17th, 2018

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Elizabeth Ann Dicks announces her sudden passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL on Wednesday, January 17th, 2018 at the age of 67 years. Born in English Harbour, NL, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Ellen Mitchell. She was also predeceased by her husband David Dicks in 2010, brother John Mitchell, brothers-in-law Philip Dicks, Calvin Dicks, Albert Dicks, sisters-in-law Gladys Dicks, Diane Dicks, Juanita Alley, father-in-law Morgan Dicks. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter Amanda Dicks (Vernon), son Darren (April) Dicks, her pride and joy grandchildren Lucas and Brooklyn Dicks, all of Port aux Basques, NL, brother Charles (Germaine) Mitchell, sister-in-law Selena Mitchell both of Terrenceville, NL, mother-in-law Marie Dicks, brothers-in-law Conrad (Gladys) Dicks, Claude (Florence) Dicks, Ivan (Ruby) Dicks, Robert Dicks, Gordon Dicks all of Port aux Basques, NL, Lester (Edna) Dicks of Windsor, NS, Harold Alley of St. David's, NL, special friends Viola Roberts, Grace (Keith) Savory, Gail (Jerry) Osmond all from Port aux Basques, NL and Florence (Frank) Walsh of Labrador City, plus a large circle nieces, nephews and friends. HAYMAN, Clayton Edward
In Loving Memory of Clayton Edward Hayman
March 3, 1965 - January 27, 2018

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our dear son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend at the age of 52 years. Clayton's hometown was Ramea. His work life took him from fish plants in Ramea and Benoit's Cove (His co-workers called him a "Gentle Giant"), to factories in Guelph, ON. His last job was in Cambridge, ON. Clayton's kind, friendly and hardworking ways will make him unforgettable. He loved keeping in touch with family and friends by phone or internet. Clayton enjoyed cards, darts, movies, sports, music, girls, good jokes and good food! Clayton will be forever remembered by his mother, Annie; by his brothers and sisters, Hartley Jr. (Mary), Frenchman's Cove, Bay of Islands; Herman, Port aux Basques; Gloria, St. John's; Tiffany (Tony), Gander; and Colin (Rebecca), Hamilton, ON. Clayton will also be forever remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Clayton was predeceased by his father, Hartley Sr. Cremation has taken place in Cambridge, ON. A celebration of Clayton's life will be held in Ramea at a later date. Clayton loved animals. Memorial donations may be made to the S.P.C.A. as expressions of sympathy.

KENDALL, Sherry Lee
August 24, 1969 - January 14, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of the Sherry Kendall announce her passing on Sunday, January 14, 2018 with her loving family by her side at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port Aux Basques at the age of 48 years. Born in Port-aux-Basques, she was the daughter of Ruby (Sheaves) and late Calvin Feltham. She will be forever remembered and loved by her husband of 19 years, Charlie Kendall, her mother, Ruby Feltham and step dad, John Neil, brothers, Duane (Donna) Feltham, Colorado Springs, Shawn (Ellen) Feltham, Port-aux-Basques, sister, Paula (Michael) Hodder, Nova Scotia, brothers and sisters in laws , Lew (Lena) Lomond, Brenda (Leonard) Pike all of Port aux Basques NL, Emmanuel Kendall, New Brunswick, Albert (Inez) Kendall Port aux Basques NL, Harriett (Glenn) Seaward, Airdrie AB, Janet (John) Skinner, New Brunswick, John (Marlene) Kendall, all of Port aux Basques NL, her dog, Willie, as well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Sherry was predeceased by her father, Calvin Feltham, mother and father in law, Rosena and Edward Kendall, brother-in-law, Clifford Kendall and niece, Glenda Kendall. (September 4, 1925 - January 21, 2018)

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Mildred King (nee Lovell) announces her passing at the Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Sunday, January 21st, 2018 at the age of 92 years. Born in Isle aux Morts and resided to Searston, NL. Mildred was the daughter of the late Joshua and Maude Lovell. She was also predeceased by her sisters Frances (Levi) Keeping, Olive (Thomas) Munden, and Violet (Bernard) Payne, brothers George (Cora) Lovell and Clifford Lovell, brother-in-law John Hansford and special friend Berthina Osmond (Taney). She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter Sarah (John) Osmond of Searston, NL, granddaughter Veronica (Raymond) Coleman of Port aux Basques, NL, grandson Jason (Tonya) Osmond of Loch Lomond, NL, great grandchildren Brady Coleman and Brittney Coleman of Port aux Basques, NL, sister Dora Hansford of Isle aux Morts, NL plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, special friends Joan Gillis and Eva Collier along with her outreach family at the hospital. LAWRENCE, John (Jack) Robert
(September 27, 1932 - January 10, 2018)

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Jack Lawrence, a hardworking family man with a big heart, at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland in his 85th year. Jack was the son of William and Sarah Lawrence, and one of eight children. Happily married to Melita (nee Lovell) for 62 years. Father of John (Gussie) Lawrence, Juanita (Dave) Shortall, Glenda (Alfred) Skinner, and Connie (Lee) Pederson, Grandfather of John, Danielle, Peder, Lyndsey, Sean, Robin, William, Jake, and Megan, Great Grandfather of Jayceon, Ilias, Lincoln, Jackson, Sarah, Sage, Sonny, Torrey and Abby. Jack worked most of his life at the Isle Aux Morts fish plant and loved to go berry picking and trouting. Jack will be remembered for being out and about and talking to people passing by. He enjoyed telling embellished stories and making those around him laugh. His easy-going manner and gentle disposition made him loved by many. Jack loved country music, his cabin, and most of all, his grandchildren and family.
The family would like to thank the congregation and Reverend Maryrose Colbourne at Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Isle aux Morts and the Long Term Care staff in Corner Brook and at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques who were so attentive in their care of our husband, father, and grandfather.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 11th from 7-9 pm and Friday, January 12th, from 9am-9pm at the Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Isle aux Morts, NL. Born in South Branch, NL, Ronald was the son of the late Archibald and Kathleen (O'Quinn) MacIsaac, fathers-in-law James MacNeil and Gerald Cormier, first wife Mary, brothers Angus MacIsaac, Jim MacIsaac and Dan MacIsaac, sisters Annie Clark and Lucy Lavers, step sons Errol Osmond and Kevin Osmond, step son-in-law Kevin Putt, and brothers-in-law John Mclean, Roderick MacDonald and sister-in-law Sharron McDonald. She was predeceased by her husband George Osmond, Father and Mother-in-Law Albert and Ellen Osmond, Brothers Chris (Ester) Bragg, George (Mary) Bragg, Bill (Mildred) Bragg, Brothers-in-Law Elwood Turner, Harold (Ruby) Osmond, Sister Dorothy (Bernard) Prosser. Born in West Point, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Emily (Upwards) Riles. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving husband Cecil of 57 years, her children Garland (Jacqueline) Stone, Marvin Stone (Laura Jestus-Patenaude), Madonna Savoury ( Harrison Hynes), and Dennis (Pauline) Stone, grandchildren, Samantha Stone (Nathan Sonier), Justin Stone (Kimmy Langer), Alexis and Liam Stone, brothers: Gilbert Riles and Henry (Yvonne) Riles, sisters: Millie (Max) Seaward, Julie (Ron) Slade and Katie (George) King, brother -in-law, Clarence Robbins as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
