It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mildred Jane Bragg announces her passing on Friday, January 4 at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 70 years. Born at Dog Cove (Ramea NL) Mildred was the daughter of the late John and Mary Warren. She was also predeceased by her husband William in June of 2006, brothers Isreal Warren and Calvin Warren, sister Bonnie Warren, brother in laws Frank Pike, Bernard Prosser, George Bragg, George Osmond, Chris Bragg (Esther), Jason Noseworthy. She leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories her loving family; her children Mary (Henry) Munden Burnt Islands, Claude (Donna) Bragg Port aux Basques, Brian (Lisa) Bragg Fort McMurray AB, Glenda (Donnie) McNeil Port aux Basques, Kathy (Tom) Bennett Fort McMurray AB. 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jane Frances Buttery announces her passing on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 92 years. Born at Grand Bay, Jane was the daughter of the late Emmanuel and May Matthews. She was predeceased by her husband John Buttery; sons: Goward and Cecil; sisters Maude, Dorcas, Julie; brother Gilbert; brother in law Wesley Kettle and sister in law Edna Matthews. Left to mourn with fond and precious memories of a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother are her children: Loretta (John) Parsons Stephenville, Edward (Maxine) Buttery Port aux Basques with whom she resided. Born at Margaree, Gloria was the daughter of the late Gabriel and Effie Billard. She was also predeceased by her brother Richard (Dick) Billard, father in law Churchill Coleman, brother in law Winston Lawrence. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jack Trevor Dominie announces his passing after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 30, at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 75 years. Born at Francois NL, Jack was the son of the late John and Violet Dominie. He was predeceased by his infant brother Rex Dominie, brother Glenn Dominie and many brother and sisters in law. KEEPING, ARTHUR JAMES
September 2, 1949 - January 15, 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Arthur James Keeping announces his passing on Tuesday, January 15th, 2013, at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 63 years. Born at Rose Blanche, Arthur was the son of the late Garfield and Maryann Keeping. He was predeceased by: his precious grandson Coady Herritt in January 2007; sister Katherine House; brother in law Charles House; sister in law Mary Keeping; nephews: Dennis and David House; father in law Chesley Spencer; and mother in law Ada Spencer. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his devoted wife of 38 years, Peggy, a proud father to Charmaine (Corey) Upwards, Rose Blanche and Arlene (Dominic) Herritt, Rose Blanche, loving grandfather to Brittney, Chase, and Caden. He will remain forever in the hearts of brothers: Wilson (Abigail) Keeping, Edwin Keeping, Lockland (Isabella) Keeping, William Keeping; and sisters: Shirley (Edward) Cokes, and Bessie (Raymond) Gillard. KNOTT, Gerald
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gerald Knott announce his passing in Port aux Basques on Monday, January 7, 2013. He was the son of the late Thomas and Catherine Knott (Courtney). He is predeceased by daughter Catherine in 1966. He leaves to mourn his wife of 48 years, Marion (Dalton) and children: Tom (Judy), Jim (Candice) and Sonja (Steve); grandchildren: Taylor, Mallory, Erica and Brian; one sister: Anastasia and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gerald retired after 23 years in the Royal Canadian Navy and then proceeded to work various fields including the Canadian Coast Guard, Federal Department of Fisheries and Bell Canada. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 40 years. Funeral services took place Saturday, January 12th, 2013 at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Codroy, with Reverend Billard officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port aux Basques.

MATTHEWS, ELSIE JANE
October 25, 1929 - January 28, 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elsie Jane Matthews announces her passing on Monday, January 28 at her home in Grand Bay at the age of 83 years. Born at Ramea NL, Elsie was the daughter of the late Gordon and Agnes Crewe, she was predeceased by her husband Gilbert Matthews, daughter Aneitha Kettle, brothers William Crewe, Ward Crewe and Benjamin Crewe. August 11, 1929 - January 22, 2013
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Daniel Pearce announces his passing on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 83 years. Born at Bonavista, NL, Daniel was the son of the late Israel and Rose Pearce. He was also predeceased by his brother Gerald, sisters, Mary and Margaret. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his family: loving and devoted wife Joan (nee Mercer) of 53 years. Loving father of Brenda (Bernie) Cormier Corner Brook, Danny Jr. Port aux Basques, Roxanne Pearce (Norman) Kelligrew's NL, Bernadette Pearce (Mike), Gerard (Linda) all of Port aux Basques, Kevin (Sheri) Curling NL. ROSSITER, George
It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Rossiter announces his passing on Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Calder Health Care Centre in Burgeo at the age of 61 years. George was the son of the late George and Myra Rossiter. He was also predeceased by: his father-in-law Onslow Vatcher; and brothers-in-law: Douglas Vatcher and James Parsons. He leaves to mourn with many precious and fond memories his family: loving wife Nancy of 38 years; children: Jody Rossiter (Dean Eavis), Georgette (Darren) Eavis, and Owen (Krista) Rossiter; grandchildren: Mikalah Rossiter-Eavis and Noah Rossiter; and mother-in-law Leta Vatcher. October 15, 1940 - January 4, 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dennis Loyola Ryan announces his passing on Friday, January 4, at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 72 years. Born at O'Regans, Dennis was the son of the late Dennis and Mary Ryan. He was also predeceased by his son Mark in 1987, brother Cyril Ryan, mother and father in law, Mary and Thomas Fitzpatrick, brothers in law Robert Blake, Alfred Woods. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his family: loving and devoted wife Carmel of 42 years. It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Austin Ryan announces his passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center in Stephenville Crossing on Monday, January 28, at the age of 88 years. Born in the Codroy Valley, William was the son of the late Sandy and Lucy Ryan. He was predeceased by his brothers; Gordon, Walter, John; sisters, Jenny, Leona, Adeline. Born at Port aux Basques, Hilda was the daughter of the late Frederick and Susan Osmond, she was also predeceased by her brothers Pearce Osmond, Walter Osmond, Earl Osmond, sister Betty Blackmore, mother and father in law Jessie and William Seymour, sisters in law Winnie Roberts and Joyce Osmond. Sisters in law; Lavinia Osmond Alberta, Dorothy Osmond, Hazel (Jack) Osmond, Marilyn (Wayne) Dominie, Frances (Arthur) Lomond, Marie (Clyde) Herritt all of Port aux Basques. Brothers in law; Norman (Susie) Seymour, Albert (Gladys) Seymour, Wilson Seymour all of Port aux Basques, Israel (Sarah) Seymour Burgeo, NL, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. To honor Hilda's wishes cremation has taken place. Funeral service took place on Wednesday, January 9, 2 p.m. at St. James Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Hannah Dicks. Born at Isle aux Morts Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Angus and Dorothy McDonald. She was also predeceased by her husband Eric 1998, brother Eric MacDonald, sister-in-law Susanne MacDonald. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clifford Skeard announces his passing on Tuesday, January 22, at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville at the age of 91 years. Born at Port aux Basques, Clifford was the son of the late John H. and Margaret Jane Skeard. He was predeceased by his daughter Irene, grandson Dion Cormier, brothers and sisters. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his family: loving and devoted wife Irene of 67 years; children: Violet (Martin) Cormier Port aux Basques, Margaret (Christopher) Derraugh, Halifax NS, Audrey (Sonny) Purcell, Cambridge ON, Debbie (Gary) Tapp, John Skeard, Susan Skeard (Dennis), Raymond Skeard all of Port aux Basques, Diane Skeard (Danny) Stephenville, Robert Skeard (Kim), Cambridge ON; 11 grandchildren: Michelle, Amanda, Ginger, Michael, Melissa, Amy, Johnathon, Katrina, Kayla, Bobby, Christopher; great grandchildren: Shawn, Jessie, Avery, Gage, Summer, John, Autumn.
