It is with great sadness that the family of the late Raymond
Aucoin announces his passing at his residence on Monday,
January 17, 2011
at the age of 70 years. A Coal Brook/South Branch icon, predeceased
by his parents Charles and Loretta (nee O'Quinn) and brother Harold.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his 2 brothers and
1 sister: Timothy Aucoin (Delia), Hyacinth Aucoin (Madonna) and Eileen
Wall (Ambrose), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, many
friends and acquaintances. A special thank you to all who showed their
love and support to the family, Father Ed Terry and the South Branch
Community Centre. Friends visited St. Sylvester's Church in South Branch
on Thursday, from where the Funeral Service took place on Friday, January
21, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment followed at the Church Cemetery, Father
Ed Terry officiated. All expressions of sympathy were greatly appreciated.
Rest in peace Raymond. You will be forever remembered in the thoughts
and hearts of so many people.

COSSAR, Dinah Jane Matthews

Passed peacefully away at Dr. Charles L. Legrow Health
Centre in Port Aux Basques on Thursday, January 27th, 2011 Dinah
Jane Matthews Cossar, formerly of Burgeo, at the grand
age of 105 years. She is predeceased by her husbands Capt. Arch Matthews,
who was lost at sea in 1943 and Lott Cossar, merchant of Burgeo, 1994,
her oldest daughter Melida Hayley, only son Lewis Matthews, second youngest
daughter Ruby Drake, granddaughter Dianne Whalen, former Minister of
Municipal Affairs, grandsons Arch, Clayton and Murdock Drake of Halifax,
N.S., also special nephew Clarence Moulton, St. John's. Leaving
to mourn are her three daughters Joan Moore, Codroy, Mary (Dan) MacDonald
and Cora (Edgar) Lilly, Halifax, grandchildren, great-grandchildren,
great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, special friend Mabel Hann,
Burgeo, and a large circle of friends. Special thanks to Dr. Husni and
staff at the Long Term Care Unit at Legrow Health Centre. Funeral arrangements
have been entrusted to Fillatre's
Funeral Home. Interment will take place in May from Mount Patricia
Cemetery, Corner Brook. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be
made to Dr. Charles L. Legrow Health Centre Long Term Care.
FARRELL, Christopher Gary Wilson
(September 1, 1988 - January 5, 2011)
On Wednesday January 5, 2011 our lives were forever
changed when our dear son, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend was
taken from us so suddenly. Christopher was predeceased by his grandfather
Keltie Farrell, his aunt Evelyn, and his great grandparents. Left to
mourn with many fond and precious memories, his loving family; mother
Donna Elms (Claude), his special pet dog Rascal whom he loved so much.
His father Junior Farrell (Marlene), his brother Sheldon. Love of his
life Shardi Janes. Grandparents; Jordan (Viola) Elms, and Fanny Farrell.
Aunts and uncles; Kathy (James), Laura Lee, Ellen (Claude), Brian (Holly),
Connie (Lloyd), Debbie (Rob), Jack (Thelma), Loriann (Austin). His
Nova Scotia family; John (Lorraine), Caroline (Scott), Johnnie (Sarah),
Sheldon (Doris). He will also be sadly missed by the Hillier family;
Rosabel (Don), Jean (Paul), Joan (Wade), Tom (Twila). His large circle
of cousins; Joshua, Matthew, Nicole, Jared, John, Kenneth, Michael,
Jake, Jamie, Steven, Sophia, Samantha, Corey, Evelyn, Megan, Lacey,
Dillon, CJ, Jessica, Brandon, Todd, Matthew, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Jessica,
Jenna, Brian, Scott, Shane, and a large circle of extended family including
his great aunts, uncles, and his many, many close friends. Visitation
took place on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at East Haven
Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Monday January 10th, 2
PM at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Grand Bay officiated by Rev. Peter
Boote. Interment followed at St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Trans Canada
Highway. Christopher will be fondly remembered as a fun loving guy,
with a warm heart and great personality. His fond love of music, family,
and friends was a true testimony of his genuine nature. He will be
greatly missed by all of those whose lives he touched in many different
ways. To know him was to love him.... and we should all do as he would
have wanted "Seize

Dorothy May Figary Port-aux-Basques August 18, 1917 - January 23, 2011
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dorothy
May Figary (nee Hinks) announces her passing on Sunday, January
23, 2011 at Dr.
Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port-aux-Basques, NL, at the age
of 93. Born at Port-aux-Basques, Dorothy was the daughter of the late
James Sr. and Lena Hinks. She was predeceased in 1942 by her first
husband Stanley Anderson, and in 1971 by her second loving husband
Percy Figary. Also predeceased by her daughters Marilyn Foote and Verna
Andrews, and step-son Robye Figuary, brothers Joseph, Norman, and James;
sisters Gladys Hinks, Mary Hinks, Bessie Osmond, and Lillian MacPherson,
She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories, her loving family,
daughter Shirley (nee Anderson) Patey (Paul), daughter-in-law Judy
Figuary, sons-in-law Frank Andrews and Wilson Foote, 19 grandchildren,
22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Sybina
Meade of Toronto, Ontario, Vera Forsey and Lena Billard of Port-aux-Basques,
NL, and a large circle of nieces and nephews and many friends. Visitation
took place on January 24 and 25 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Fillatre's
Funeral Home. Funeral Services took place on Wednesday, January 26,
at Wesley United Church, Port-aux-Basques, officiated by Reverend Tara
Ann Wilson. Internment followed at The United Church Cemetery. Donations

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Henry
Green announce
his sudden passing on Monday, January 31, 2011 at the Western Memorial
Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 50 years. Cremation has
taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Friends may visit St. John
the Evangelist Anglican Church in Burgeo on Wednesday from where the
funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 3 at 2:00 p.m. with

Annie Margaret
Jeans announces her passing on Monday, January 10,

was the daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth Osmond. She was also
predeceased by her husband George, Baby daughter Joan. Brothers Ray and

LEAMON, Anne Elizabeth (Hynes)
Age 78
Passed peacefully away at the Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on January
7, 2011. Anne was born in St. Andrews and was the daughter of the late
Martin and Francis Hynes. Leaving to mourn with love and fond memories
are her five children Julia, Wayne (Joanne), Richard (Jocelyn), Rita
(Fred), Debbie (Trent) and her eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Also a large number of nieces, nephews and friends. Two very special
friends Marlene Hynes and Margaret Chaisson. Special thanks to Dr.

Mildred Tapp announces her passing on Tuesday January

Legrow Health Center at the age of 71 years. Born at Middle Barachois
Alice was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Annie Osmond. She
was also predeceased by her husband George in 2001, granddaughter Michelle,
brother Albert, mother and father in law Phillip and Eliza Tapp. She
leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories her loving family,
children; Jane (Gordon) Sheaves, Brenda (Vince) McDougall, all of Port
aux Basques. Only son Gary of Cape Ray. Loving grandmother of Mike,
Craig (Jaime), Pam, Chris, Nicole, Ryan. Great grandmother to Alaina
and Ty. She will also be greatly missed by her companion Ralph Osmond
of Cape Ray, and the Osmond family. Dear sister of George (Mary) Osmond,
Elias (Bernice) Osmond all of Cape Ray. Harold Osmond (Lillian), Gerald
(Una) Osmond, all of Port aux Basques. Susan Parsons, Rachel (Walter)
