BILLARD, Gordon William
(May 31, 1948 - February 15, 2016)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gordon Billard announces his passing on Monday February 15 at Dr. Charles L Legrow at the age of 67 years. Born in Grand Bruit, Gordon was the son of the late Edward and Mildred Billard. He was aslo predeceased by his father and mother in law Jim and Alice Pike, sister in law Genevieve Pike, brothers in law Gerald Pike, Eric Pike, Bob Pike (Carrie), George Dominie, James Savoury. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his devoted wife Marie (nee Pike) of 46 years. Loving father of Mildred (Darren) Pearce Port aux Basques, Jessica Billard (Fenton Thomas) Bridgewater NS. A proud poppy he will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Cassidy, Kaylee and Ava. He will forever remain in the hearts of his sisters; Grace Savoury (Keith Allen) Port aux Basques, Ann Dominie St. Andrew's, Josephine (Kevin) Forward Topsail NL, Dora (Don) Skeard Kippens NL, Margaret (John) Snow Darthmouth NS, only brother Eddie (Ruth) Billard Port aux Basques. Brother in law Harold (Kathleen) Pike Dartmouth NS, sisters in law; Viola Pike and Marie Pike both of Port aux Basques and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many close friends. Gord as he was best known by his many friends and customers was a well known, community minded individual who throughouly enjoyed the many hours he spent volunteering in his community. He was a member of the Rangers, Masonic Lodge, Winter Carnival Committee and the Lion's Club but his greatest passion was his family and his grandchildren were the apples of his eye. Visitation taking place on Thursday Febraury 18 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. Funeral services taking place on Friday February 19, 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Grand Bay officiated by Rev. Steven Maki, interment to follow at St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Trans Canada Highway. In Lieu of Flowers donations can be made to the family. DOYLE, John Joseph
(September 26, 1956 - February 24, 2016)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Doyle announces his sudden passing at his residence in Grand Bay on Wednesday February 24, at the age of 59 years. Born at Collier's NL, John was the son of the late James and Catherine Doyle. He was also predeceased by his father in law Clyde Buttery, niece Samantha, and brother in law Jack Sweet. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are his wife Robin (nee Buttery) of 15 years, their only son, their pride and joy, Byron. He will also be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters; Frank (Mary) Doyle Toronto, Vince (Sheila) Doyle Collier's NL, Gerard (Rowena) Doyle Margaree, Sister Theresa Doyle, Marie Peach all of St. John's NL, Clara (Doug) Rutherford Yukon NWT. He will remain in the hearts of his brothers and sisters in law; Matthew (Bernice) Sweet Margaree, David (Kathy) Sweet Bishop's Falls NL, Tammy (Tom) Chambers Blue Cove NL, CJ Buttery, Brenda Sweet, his mother in law Winnie Buttery all of Port aux Basques and a large circle of nieces, nephews, many friends and colleagues. (October 11, 1926 - February 3, 2016)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Daisy Hann (nee LeRiche) announces her her passing on Wednesday February 3, at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center in Port aux Basques at the age of 89 years. Born in Port aux Basques, Daisy was the daughter of the late George and Dorcas LeRiche. She was also predeceased by her husband Douglas, sisters Florence Sheaves, Alice LeRiche, Cora Mullins (Eric), brothers; Albert LeRiche (Gertie) and Israel LeRiche. She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories her children June Clarke (John) of Holyrood NL, Roland Hann of Port aux Basques. Proud grandmother of Stephen Clarke (Dena) of Ottawa and Melanie Lomond (Randy) of Conception Bay South NL. She will also be fondly remembered by her great grandchildren; Hailey, Andrew, Spencer, Avery and a large circle of sisters and brothers in law, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Visitation taking place on Saturday February 6, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home Inc., Port aux Basques. Funeral services taking place on Sunday February 7, 2 p.m. at St. James Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. MURPHY, John Thomas
(September 3, 1954 - February 25, 2016)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Murphy announces his passing surrounded by his loving family on Thursday February 25, 2016 at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Centre at the age of 61 years. John was predeceased by his mother Lillian Murphy, mother and father in law Maude and Tom Short, brothers in law; Clifford Gaulton, Steward Gaulton, Isaac Short, Ted Lomond, Wilson White, William McNeil. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories his devoted wife Norma (nee Short) of 30 years. A proud dad of his three precious girls, John will forever remain in the hearts of his daughters Kelly Murphy (Cory Sheaves), Kayla Murphy, Keisha Murphy all of Port aux Basques. Special caregiver Tara Balram who went above and beyond for John and our family and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many, many friends. Funeral services took place on Monday February 29, 11 Am at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Grand Bay officiated by Rev. OSMOND, Wanda Lee
August 8, 1974 - February 20, 2016

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wanda Lee Osmond announces her passing on Saturday, February 20, 2016 with her loving family by her side at the Western Regional Memorial Hospital at the age of 41. Born in Port-aux-Basques, she the daughter of Bessie (Buffett) and the late James Parsons. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving husband of 15 years. Kenny Osmond, her two children, Nicholas and MacKenzie, brothers and sister, Sam (Linda) Crestor, BC, Emily (Kenny) Gaudet, Black Duck Siding, NL, Banfield (Sharon), New Ross, NS, Frank (Nerissa), Fort McMurray, AB, Aubrey (Margaret), Clarke’s Beach, NL, parent-in-laws, Roy and Grace Osmond, brothers and sisters-in-laws, Kevin (Pam) Osmond, Craig (Lorna) Osmond, Amanda (George) Blackmore and Baine Osmond, all of Port-aux-Basques, many aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends. She was predeceased, by her father, James Parsons. In keeping with Wanda Lee’s wishes cremation has taken place. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 11 AM at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Grand Bay, officiated by Rev. Steven Maki, interment to follow at St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery. SAMMS, Alma Selina
(May 24, 1941 - February 11, 2016)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alma Samms announces her passing at the Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Centre on February 11, 2016 at the age of 74 years. Alma was the daughter of the late Fred and Myrtle (nee Ingram) Bennett. She was also predeceased by her Husband William Samms, brothers Bill Bennett and Bruce Bennett. She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories her daughter Catherine (Lewis) Matthews Port aux Basques, son George Thomas (Rosa) Halifax NS. She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren; Cory Matthews Halifax NS, Christopher (Marina) Matthews Red Deer AB, and Ryan Allen Port aux Basques, precious great granddaughter Emily plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation will take place on Saturday, February 13 and Sunday, February 14 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home Inc., Port aux Basques. (August 10, 1925 - February 15, 2016)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clarence Skeard announces his passing at the Mountain Hope Manor on February 15, 2016 at the age of 90 years. Clarence was the son of the late Almon and Elizabeth (nee Short) Skeard. He was also predeceased by his brother Edward Skeard, sisters Frances (Jack) Scott, Minnie Musseau, brother-in-law Cyril Lomond and father and mother-in-law William and Beatrice Anderson. He leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories his devoted wife Nina of 65 years, loving father of Beatrice (Willie) Gillam, Betty (Don) Dowding all of Port aux Basques, Sharon (Ken) Carter MacDougall's. He will forever remain in the hearts of the his grandchildren Kim (Ed) Brown, Sabrina (Allan) Downey, Tara Gillam (Scott Chant), Dawn Dowding (Krista Bowdridge), Kimberly (Jason) Bird, great grandchildren Christina Thibault (Justin), Amanda, Brittany, Tyson, Graham, Avery Jenna, Carter, Matthew, Courtney, great great grandchildren Mila, Abigail. He will also be sadly missed by his only sister Mary Lomond Port aux Basques, brothers-in-law Reg Musseau Codroy Valley, Cecil (Florence) Anderson Pasadena NL, sisters-in-law Ruth (Michael) Downey O'Regan's, Rachel Skeard Scotland, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends.
