ANDERSON, Ralph
(January 15, 1951 - December 9, 2015)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ralph Anderson announces his passing at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre on December 9, 2015 at the age of 64. He was the son of the late David & Ethel Anderson. He was also predeceased by his brothers Monford (Ruth) Anderson, William and Stan (Margaret) Anderson, sisters Francis (George) Hunt and Geraldine (Walter) Anderson, father-in-law John Charles Hayward, brothers-in-law Andrew Kendall and Henry Phillips and best friend Tom Anderson. He leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories his wife Margaret of 43 years, brothers and sisters Charlie (Tryphena) Anderson Isle aux Morts, Ellen Kendall, Rose (Claude) Warren, Florence Anderson all of Port aux Basques and Margaret (Aubrey) Parsons Clarkes Beach, Ruth (Roland) Weatheral Montreal, Janet (Elroy Battiste) Anderson Port aux Basques, and Elsie Anderson Port aux Basques, mother-in-law Hilda Hayward Port aux Basques, brothers & sisters-in-law Golda (Kevin) Osmond Cape Ray, Charlene Hayward Port aux Basques, John (Elaine) Hayward Port aux Basques, Laura (Tony) Carter Margaree, Robert (Cynthia Ingram) Hayward Port aux Basques, Darlene (Allan) Nightingdale England, Denise (Jason) Gillam Port aux Basques, and Sonya (Deon) Carroll Margaree, plus a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends including special friends Max Hardy, Reg Carroll, Gordon McNeil, William "Bucky" Clarke, and Rita Anderson. Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses for their continuous care given to our family during our time of need and also to Pastor Tyrone & Roberta Ball for their spiritual guidance. Visitation took place on Thursday, December 10 & Friday, December 11 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home Inc.. Funeral services took place on Saturday, December 12, 2 p.m. from the Faith Pentecostal Tabernacle, Port aux Basques with Pastor Tyrone Ball officiating. Interment to follow at the Faith Pentecostal Cemetery, TCH. Flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the family. BATTISTE, Eileen Maude
1944-2014

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eileen Battiste announces her passing at Charles LeGrow Health Centre on Monday, December 29, 2014 at the age of 70. Born in Port-aux-Basques, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Clevett) Blackmore. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter, Roxanne Battiste (Dwayne Sheaves), Port-aux-Basques and son, Brainard (Lynn) Battiste, Bridgewater, NS grandchildren, Brooke, Bailey, David, Shawna and Todd and great grandchildren, Lily, Avah and Finn, brothers and sisters, George (Gloria) Blackmore, Digby, Nova Scotia, Gerald (Margaret) Blackmore, Port-aux-Basques, Jim (Darlene) Blackmore, Ester Pearce and Judy Keeping (Martin Demone), brother and sister in law Arch (Margaret) Osmond, many nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends, especially Betty Lillington, she was predeceased, by her husband, Frederick Battsite, brothers, Richard and Brainard, sisters, Lillian and Hannah. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 134 Main Street on Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9 and Wednesday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 31 at 3:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church with Rev.Jeffery Petten officiating. McISAAC, Francis Anthony
(April 17, 1949 - December 6, 2015)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Francis Anthony McIsaac announces his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook on December 6, 2015 at the age of 68. Francis was the son of the late Neil & Mary McIsaac. He was also predeceased by his sisters Joan (Kevin) Gale, and Mildred McIsaac, brother Gerry McIsaac, sister-in-law Maria McIsaac, and brother-in-law Chesley Samms. He leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories his wife Linda (nee Hilliard) McIsaac of 42 years, brothers Martin (Ita) McIsaac Toronto, ON, Gordon McIsaac Upper Ferry, NL, and Eddie McIsaac St. Andrew's, NL, sister-in-law Patricia Samms Codroy, NL, brothers-in-law Tom (Monica) Hilliard St. Fintan's, NL, and Bill Hilliard Codroy, NL, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and extended family and special friend Rosina Burry. Visitation took place on Tuesday, December 8 from 2-4 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux Basques and continued on from 6-9 p.m. from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Codroy. Funeral service took place on Wednesday, December 9, 2 p.m. from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Codroy with Rev. Steven Maki officiating. Interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family. OSMOND, Israel
(December 25, 1932 - December 28, 2015)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Israel Osmond announces his passing on Monday December 28 at his residence in Grand Bay West at the age of 83 years. Born at Port aux Basques, Israel was the son of the late Thomas and Annie (nee Kettle) Osmond. He was also predeceased by his loving wife Margaret of 60 years on April 7, 2015, sisters; Alice McNeil, Dorothy Vasquez and brother David Osmond. A loving father, Israel will be sadly missed by his children; Darlene Osmond Port aux Basques, Alice (Gerry Beson) Labrador City, John (Sonya) Osmond Middle Sackville NS, Cyril (Susan) Osmond Wabush, Labrador. He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren; Lorne (Katrina), Holly (Cameron), Ross, Karla, Kailey, Journey, Jessie and great granddaughter Cadence. He will also be fondly remembered by his brother George (Maisie) Osmond Port aux Basques and a large circle of brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews and many friends. In keeping with Israel's wishes a private family visitation will take place on Wednesday December 30 at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral service to celebrate his life will take place on Thursday December 31, at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 2 PM officiated by Rev. Steven Maki, cremation will follow. Donations in memory of Israel can be made to his family and they are going to distribute them to his favourite charities. SHEPPARD, Verna Susie Caroline
(June 15, 1945 - December 29, 2015)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Verna Sheppard after a lengthy illness at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL on December 29, 2015 at the age of 70 years. Predeceased by her parents Gordon and Evangeline House, her Husband Garfield Sheppard and Loving Companion Stan Pittman, Daughter Debra, Brothers Jefford and Jacob, Sisters Emma and Florence. Left to mourn her children Elaine (Calvin), Harold (Laureen), Colleen and Rodney, Stepchildren Mildred (Laurence), Loretta (Max), Wayne (Bev), Lorraine (Mike), Sister Bessie (John), brothers Ronald and Lionel (Blanche) and sister-in-law and dear friend Marjorie (Boris). Grandchildren Tina, Tiffany, Shawn, Jennifer, Joanie, and Tyson, also great grandchildren Caitlyn, James, Connor, Anna, Christopher and Pheonix. Plus a large circle of extended family and friends. In keeping with Verna's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Verna's life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Kidney Foundation or a charity of one's choice.
