COFFIN, Natalie Elizabeth
(October 4, 1971 - December 30, 2013)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful daughter and sister Natalie Elizabeth Coffin on Monday, December 30, 2013 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital. Predeceased by her loving father Nathan (2012). Leaving to mourn her mother Elizabeth; sister Kimberly (Darrin); nephews Justin and William as well as many special Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 11 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church. Interment to follow at the R.C. Cemetery, Kilbride. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in her memory to the Lupus Society.

HUELIN, Carson Sheldon
2004 - 2013

Passed away peacefully, with his loving parents by his side, after a courageous battle with Batten Disease at the McMaster Children's Hospital, Hamilton on December 24th, 2013. He was almost 10 years old. Beloved son of Sheldon Huelin and Lori-Ann Keeping. Loving brother of Zackery, Preston (2000), Emma-Lynn, and Jamie (2009). Dear grandson of Joyce and Dorman Huelin, and Betty and Kelly Keeping. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and family members. Carson has been part of the first ever Batten disease stem cell treatment program in North America, leading the way for many other possible treatments for Alzheimers, spinal chord afflictions, Parkinsons and many neurological advancements in medicine. He was a true hero to the end. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford on Saturday from 2 - 4 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 - 1 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel on Sunday, December 29th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation. Donations to the Batten Disease Support and Research Association (www.bdsra.org) would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Carson in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.

KINSLOW, Claude
1934-2013

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and brother, Claude Kinslow, at home in Isle aux Morte on Dec. 3, 2013 at the age of 79 years. He was an avid card player, loved his Monday night bingo's and was a loyal member of the LOL177 in Isle aux Morte. He is survived by his seven children: Israel (Edith), Joann (Angus) of Isle-aux Morte, Maurice of Toronto, Sharon (Ron) of North Sydney, Claudine (Wayne) of Martinique, NS, Ward of Halifax, and Leonard (Michelle) of Grand Bay Westfield, NB, 20 grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren, two brothers: Owen and Joe, and one sister, Mary, along with many neices, nephews and godchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Florence Jane Francis, five children: Sherry, Angus, Jeremy, Jason and Dean, and one grandchild, Taylon Hartland, father, Wallace Kinslow, mother, Lillian Blanche Crant, two sisters and three brothers. Friends may visit Holy Spirit Anglican Church on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Maryrose Colbourne officiating, with interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery. The family guest book may be signed through our website www.fillatre.ca    Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Fillatre Funeral Homes, Port aux Basques.

OSMOND, Cecil
(December 16, 1923 - December 7, 2013)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cecil Osmond announces his peaceful passing on Saturday December 7, at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 89 years, just 9 days before his 90th birthday. Born at Port aux Basques, Cecil was the son of the late Emmanuel and Selina Osmond, he was also predeceased by his wife Lucy in 1996, grandson Mitchell Glavine, great granddaughter Amber Osmond, brother Stanley Osmond, sisters; Mildred Taylor, Vera Skinner, Catherine Lomond. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his loving sons and daughters; Albert (Sylvia) Osmond, Grace (Roy) Osmond, Bernice (Edward) Janes, Margaret (Gerald) Blackmore, David Osmond (Nancy), Joan (Patrick) Glavine, Irene (Ivan) Bragg, Cindy (Hiram) Billard all of Port aux Basques. Also left with many lasting memories are his 30 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, sisters; Florence Green, Julia (Ben) Perry, Pauline (Ted) Devoe, Beatrice (Bill) Bryne, brothers; Jack (Hazel), Wilson (Joan), Malcolm (Rita), Bruce (Rhonda), and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation took place on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Wednesday December 11, 2:00 PM at St.Paul's Anglican Church, Grand Bay, officiated by Rev. Steven Maki, interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers graciously accepted or donations can be made to the charity of one's choice. OSMOND, Scott
(September 26, 1955 - December 13, 2013)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Scott Osmond announces his sudden passing on Friday December 13, at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 58 years. Born in Port aux Basques, Scott was the son of the late Roy and Frances Osmond, he was also predeceased by his sister Geraldine and brother in law Robert Levy. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his common law spouse Irene McNeil Port aux Basques, son Trenton Young New Brunswick, granddaughter Taylor. Brothers and sisters; Gordon (Bernice) Short Port aux Basques, Mary Ann Levy Yarmouth NS, Frank (Carrie) Osmond, Ida Lawrence all of Port aux Basques, Dennis Osmond St. John's NL, Roy Osmond (Karen), Ray Osmond (Sheila) all of Port aux Basques. He will also be sadly missed by his extended family, Connie (Bruce) LeRiche, Paul (Amanda) McNeil, Tanya McNeil (Steven), Mitchell, Chloe, Kade, Saige, Calvin Walters, Christine (John) Kendell, Catherine (Norman) Patey all of Port aux Basques and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. In keeping with Scotts' wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service took place on Tuesday December 17, 2:00 PM at East Haven Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Canon Hannah Dicks, followed by interment at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. STRICLAND, Cecil J.
1929-2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cecil J. Strickland of Port aux Basques announce his passing on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at the age of 84 years. He was a WW2 veteran, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 60 years and an employee of CN for 35 years. Born at Port aux Basques, Cecil was the son of the late Garfield and Hazel Strickland. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Annie Osmond and Mildred Brooker. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his loving wife, Greta, of 56 years, his children; Mark (Darlene) Strickland, Port aux Basques and Josie Strickland, Alberta. Also left with many special memories are his brother, Austin (Judy) Snooks and sister, Mabel Hynes, Codroy, special grandchildren, Kristen (Carey) Strickland and Billy (Taylor) Bonness, special great-grandchildren, Sasha and Amber, along with a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Port aux Basques on Tuesday, December 31st. and Wednesday, January 1st. from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 2nd. at 2:00 p.m. from The Salvation Army Church, Port aux Basques, with Captain Shawn Furrey officiating.
