GAUDETT, AVA NOEL SHORT
December 31, 2011 - August 30, 2017

On December 31, 2011 our lives were so enriched and our hearts so full when Ava Noel Short Gaudet made her appearance into this world. A little girl for us to spoil, so full of life, so beautiful, so perfect, so Angelic. We would have a lifetime ahead of us to spend with her, teaching her how to walk, talk, play, love and grow, little did we know that on August 30, 2017 our lives would forever be changed and our world shattered as our princess warrior Ava lost her battle with Batten's disease at just five years of age. Ava was predeceased by her great grandparents Eric and Elizabeth Short, Archibald and Sylvia Allen, Rice Gaudet and great Uncle Craig Keough. Never having to travel this journey alone, Ava will be fondly remembered by many special people. Her Daddy and Mommy, Spencer and Brittany Gaudet will miss their sweet baby so much, the love and joy that she brought them will help get them through the difficult days ahead without her but she will always be with them tucked safely away inside their hearts, her baby sisters Cali and Jersey will have many precious memories of their big sister and she will always watch over and protect them. Ava will be sadly missed by her grandparents Lew and Stacey Short, Shayne Gaudet and Debbie Gaudet, great grandparents Joe and Susan Keough, Evangeline Gaudet and her special Uncle Colin Keough who truly adored her. She will forever remain in the hearts of her aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and the many friends whose lives she touched on Ava's journey over the past number of years and her memory will live on in all of us forever. Although her time on earth with us was all to brief she taught us to live each day to the fullest and love unconditionally. Ava's family received family and friends on Friday from 2-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. Ava's family, celebrated her beautiful life on Sunday, September 3, 2 p.m. at the Port aux Basques Lions Club. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in memory of Ava can be made to the Children's Wish Foundation or Give Kids The World Village in Florida. Funeral arrangements were in the care of East Haven Funeral Home Inc., 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques, 695-2300. www.easthavenfuneralhome.com

I've finished life's chores assigned to me,
So put me on a boat headed out to sea.
Please send along my fishing pole
For I've been invited to the fishin' hole.
Where every day is a day to fish,
To fill your heart with every wish.
Don't worry, or feel sad for me,
I'm fishin' with the Master of the sea.
We will miss each other for awhile,
But you will come and bring your smile.
That won't be long you will see,
Till we're together you and me
.
