BENNETT, HAZEL MURIEL
April 14, 1925 - April 4, 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hazel Muriel Bennett (nee Bond) announces her passing on Wednesday, April 3 at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 87 years. Born at Petites, Hazel was the daughter of the late James and Eva Bond. She was predeceased by her husband George Bennett Sr., son George Bennett Jr, daughter Linda Bennett, son in law Dan Mackenzie, sister Violet (Charles) Munden and brother Frederick Bond. She leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories her children; Stanley Bennett Shearstown NL, Shirley (Tom) Leamon Port aux Basques, Austin (Linda) Bennett Rose Blanche, Bernice Mackenzie (Rick) Ontario, Carl Bennett (Judy) Codroy Valley, Patsy (Rocky) Head Fort McMurray Alberta, 21 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, special friend Elaine Pike and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. To honor Hazel's wishes cremation has taken place, a memorial service took place on Wednesday, April 10, 2 p.m. at Wesley United Church, officiated by Rev. Patricia Ritchie. Interment will take place at the cemetery in Petites at a later date. Donations in Hazel's memory can be made to the Wesley United Cemetery Fund. BILLARD, Lloyd
September 1, 1946 - April 12, 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lloyd Billard announces his passing on Friday, April 12, at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 66 years. Born at Margaree, Lloyd was the son of the late Gabriel and Effie Billard. He was predeceased by his brother Richard Billard, sister Gloria Coleman, mother in law Alma Meade. Leaving to mourn with many fond and precious memories of a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather are his loving and devoted wife Gloria (nee Meade) of 44 years, sons Deon (Gesil) Billard, Darren (Tina) Billard all of Margaree; grandchildren: Lucas Carroll, Mitchell, Logan, Nickolas, Brooke. He will forever remain in the hearts of his sisters and brother: Millie Park (Herbert), Mary Carter (Alman), Betty Skinner (Fred), Julie Spencer (Hartley), Margaret Street (Joseph), Brenda Luedee (Wilfred), Pauline Baggs (Jim), Johnny Billard; father in law Eric Meade; brother in law Clifford Coleman all of Margaree and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many, many friends. Lloyd was a very community minded individual, and over the years he helped so many people in whatever way he could. He was a very devoted family man, and the happiness of his family, friends, and neighbors was the most important thing in his life. His kind heart and gentle spirit will surely be missed by everyone who was fortunate to have had the opportunity to share in his life. Visitation took place on Saturday evening and continued on Sunday at St. Augustine's Anglican Church in Margaree. Funeral services took place on Monday, April 15, 2 p.m. at St. Augustine's Anglican Church officiated by Rev. Maryrose Colbourne, interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Thomas Billard announces his passing on Tuesday, April 9 at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 52 years. Born at Port aux Basques, John was the son of the late Solomon and Susanna Billard. He was predeceased by his brother Ivan, sister Caroline, mother and father-in-law Dorothy and John Kendall. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his family: loving wife Jeanette (nee Kendall) of 31 years, only daughter Susan (Ryan) Harvey Margaree, the apple of Poppy's eye his granddaughter Ava. He will remain forever in the hearts of his brothers and sisters, Wilson (Norma), Earl (Pauline), Jerry (Neita), Vivian (George), Miriam (George), Christopher, Darryl (Amanda) all of Isle aux Morts, Stacey (John) Port aux Basques, Louise (Henry), Margaret (Blandford), Clyde (Valenia) all of Burnt Islands, George Windsor N.S, Solomon (Maggie) Halifax N.S. He will also be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law Leslie Kendall, Philip Kendall, Larry (Lorena) Kendall, Shirley (Chesley) Osmond all of Margaree, Gordon Kendall, Nancy Dodge (Dave) both of Port aux Basques, Vivian (Edward) McQuarrie Doyles, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation took place on Wednesday evening and continued on Thursday and Friday at St. Augustine's Anglican Church in Margaree. Funeral services took place on Saturday April 13, 2 p.m. at St. Augustine's Anglican Church officiated by Rev. Maryrose Colbourne. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Walter "Buck" Francis announce his passing on Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 83 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 60 years Florence (Ryan); children: Margie (Hugh) MacIsaac, Linda (Stephen) Kane, Kathy (Johnny) Schneider and Walter (Sharon) Francis; grandchildren: Darrell MacIsaac (Laurie), Denise MasIsaac (Bill), Kenneth Williams (Andrea), Thomas Graham (Amanda) and Andriena Francis; great-grandchildren: Aidric, Jasmine and Lily; sisters and brother: Margie Ongo, Dorothy Cross and Ozzie Francis (Eva Bowdridge); sisters and brother-in-law: Theresa Francis, Nellie Francis and Harold Rose; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Phillip and Rebecca Francis, grandson Carl Graham, sister Regis Rose, brothers Clarence and Arthur Francis. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Pasadena. A private family service was held at Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port aux Basques. As expressions of sympathy no flowers by request, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. KENDALL, Gerald

Gerald Kendall - 1929-2013

It is with sadness that the family of Gerald Kendall announces his passing on April 20, 2013, at the age of 83. He was predeceased by wife Dulcie (Rossiter), (mother of Sheila, Weston and Craig), wife Maisie (LeDrew), and parents Wilson and Elizabeth (Fudge) Kendall, two brothers and two sisters. He leaves to mourn children Sheila (Chris) Vincent, Weston (Susan) Kendall, and Craig (Ellenita) Kendall; grandchildren Christa Vincent; Scott, Peter and Michael Kendall; and Tori Kendall; five sisters, two brothers and a wide circle of relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home. A memorial service for family and friends was held at the Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, in Lewisporte. Funeral service took place at St. Boniface Anglican Church, Ramea, on Wednesday, April 24, followed by Interment at the St. Boniface Anglican Cemetery.

MacISAAC, Patrick Martin
August 12, 1928 - April 15, 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Patrick Martin MacIsaac announces his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, April 15, at the age of 84 years. Born at St. Andrews, Patrick was the son of the late Allan and Catherine (nee Young) MacIsaac. He was predeceased by his brothers Gerald (Helen), Fred, Raymond, Archie, Johnny, James, Angus, Joseph, Andrew, Kevin and sisters in law Edna MacIsaac. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his loving and devoted wife Pauline (nee Luedee) of 61 years, sister Kathleen (Leonard) Doyle St. Andrews, brother Jimmy MacIsaac St. Andrews, sisters in law Gloria MacIsaac St. Georges, Veronica MacIsaac Stephenville and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation took place on Tuesday and Wednesday at Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church in St. Andrews from where the funeral mass took place Thursday April 18, 11 a.m. officiated by Father Edward Terry. Interment followed at Precious Blood Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Patrick can be made to the Precious Blood Roman Catholic Cemetery Fund. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Charles Frederick McNeil announces his passing at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Thursday, April 4 at the age of 80 years. Born at Port aux Basques, Charles was the son of the late Frederick and Annie McNeil, he was also predeceased by his brothers Thomas, Norman, Gordon, Edgar, sister Mary Ann and sister in law Julia. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his loving wife Elizabeth (nee Kettle) of 60 years, sisters in law Florence McNeil, Hilda McNeil, Irene McNeil (Scott) all of Port aux Basques, 33 nieces and nephews and a large circle of extended family and many friends. Visitation took place on Friday from 7-9 p.m., then continued on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Monday, April 8, 2 p.m. at St. James Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Canon Hannah Dicks, interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in memory of Charles can be made to the St. James Anglican Church Memorial Fund or to the St. James Cemetery Fund. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Reg Osmond announces his passing on Saturday, April 13 at his family residence in Grand Bay at the age of 74 years. Born at Port aux Basques, Reg was the son of the late Charles and Annie (nee Cutler) Osmond. He was predeceased by his twin brother Harry Osmond, sisters Eileen Brunken, Betty Lomond (Harry) and step father Alexander Bateman. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his family: loving and devoted wife Evelyn (nee Lomond) of 53 years; a proud father of Heather Bungay (Joey) Alder Point NS, Karen Sentner (Winston) Wheatley River PEI, Glenda Spencer, Pamela Osmond both of Lower Sackville NS, Randy Osmond (Lisa) Sydney NS, and Peter Osmond (Cheryl) Port aux Basques. He will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren: Joey, Jillian, Jenny, Amy, Karen, Cameron, Brooke, Andrew, Jordan, Ryan; great grandchildren: Jersey, Kaniah, Brody; sister Joyce Martin (William) Whitby ON; sister in law Dorothy Osmond Port aux Basques; brother in law Horace Brunken British Columbia and a large circle of brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, and many, many friends. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Keon Terrance Parsons announce his passing on Monday, April 29, 2013 at the Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques at the age of 41 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his common law wife Rowena Strickland, Port Aux Basques; sister Tracey (Eric) White, McIvers; daughter Faith Parsons (Johnny), Corner Brook; son: Blake Parsons, Kitchener, Ont.; parents-in-law: Roberta and Israel Strickland, Margaree/Fox Roost; brother-in-law Anthony (Jennifer) Strickland, Corner Brook; nephews: Tyler (Alicia) White and Jhoni Brake; nieces: Brittany (Matt) White and Mya Strickland; he will be sadly missed by owner and coworkers of McCarthy's Roofing; as well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Goldie and Max Parsons. A special thank-you to Dr. Thomas and the staff of the Charles LeGrow Health Centre; special friend Reg Carroll and Rev. Maryrose Colbourne. Friends visited the Epiphany Anglican Church in McIvers on Tuesday evening and Wednesday from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 2 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joyce Mary Samms announces her passing on Friday, April 26 at Dr. Charles L. Legrow Centre at the age of 89 years. Mrs. Samms was a veteran of the Royal Navy from 1941 - 1945. Joyce was the daughter of the late Mark and Priscilla Stewart. She was also predeceased by her husband Frederick in 1999. Brothers Thomas, Loll, George, sisters Margaret and Gladys. She leaves to mourn with loving and precious memories her loving family; daughters Kathleen Samms, Judith (Abe) Andrews both of Port aux Basques, four grandchildren Jennifer, Peter, Mark all of Port aux Basques, Michelle of Lloyd Minister AB, eight great-grandchildren Brandon, Bradley, Shannon, Jacqueline, Matthew, Emma, Andrew and Mya. Visitation took place on Sunday from 7-9 p.m., and Monday from 2-4, 7-9 p.m., at East Haven Funeral Home. Born at Tompkins, Edward was the son of the late Thomas and Anges (nee Costello) Wall. He was predeceased by his wife Ita (nee Hoskins), son William (Jean) Wall, son in law William Walsh and 16 brothers and sisters. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his children: Agnes (Tom) Walsh, Adinia Walsh, George (Lilly) Wall all of Pasadena, Gilbert Wall Brampton ON, Pat (Marcie) Wall Pasadena, Pauline Hynes Tompkins, Joseph (Rita) Wall Mount Pearl, Tom (Geraldine) Wall St. Andrew's, Joyce (Kevin) O'Quinn Milton ON, Ted (Lucy) Wall Tompkins, Dianna (Ed) Whelan Georgetown ON; daughter in law Doreen Wall St. Andrew's; 41 grandchildren; 69 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation took place on Thursday at Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church in St. Andrew's, from where the funeral mass took place on Friday April 19, 11 a.m. officiated by Father Edward Terry, interment followed at Mount St. Thomas Roman Catholic Cemetery, Great Codroy.
