It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Ronald George Battiste announces his passing at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on April 7th, 2018 at the age of 82 years. Born in Port aux Basques, NL, Ronald was the son of the late Thomas and Jane Battiste (nee Lomond). He was also predeceased by his mother and father-in-law Mary and Peter Mushrow; brothers Lewis, Joe, Raymond; sister Mabel; brothers-in-law Willie Seaward, Bob (Robert) Peddle; and sister-in-law Mary Mushrow.

COFFIN, Robert (Bob) Lewis
Born: April 15th, 1951
Passed on: April 28th, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bob while on vacation in Bradenton, Florida in his 67th year. Died in the presence of his loving, devoted wife of 43 years, Lorna (nee Marshall). Predeceased by his parents James and Frances Coffin. Leaving behind with heavy hearts his three sons whom he adored, Robert (Ashley), James, and Jeffrey (Stephanie); sisters Sharon (Dave) and Shelley; brother-in-law Todd (Sandra); sisters-in-law Bonnie (Dean), Cindy (Wade), and Julia (Eugene); parents-in-law Classie and Albert Marshall and special furry companion Vance. Bob leaves behind many aunts and uncles, nephews, and one niece. Also, very special friends Mike and Loraine Kennedy who were with Bob enjoying life during his last days. Bob leaves behind many precious friends in Port aux Basques and beyond, hunting buddies and those who joined Bob every summer in Clode Sound. He was known best for his sense of humour, love of being in the country hunting and fishing, and was an avid Blue Jays fan. A very special thank you to the staff at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida for their care, kindness and compassion. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Calvin Martin Joseph Cormier announces his passing at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's, NL on April 5th, 2018 at the age of 62 years. Born in Upper Ferry, NL, Calvin was the son of the late Leo and Margaret Cormier (nee MacArthur). He was also predeceased by his father-in-law Cyril Gale and nephew Dylan Gould. Calvin dearly loved his family especially his two grandsons which were the highlight of his life, proudly showing pictures of them to anyone he came in contact with. He also loved going to work everyday being an independent businessman for forty plus years including collecting of all furs for the NAFA. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, his pleasures were music, hunting, fishing, golfing, playing cards, loved cooking and was a very strong Toronto Maple Leafs fan. In keeping with Calvin's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 10th from 7-9 pm at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church in Upper Ferry, NL where the Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, April 11th at 11 am officiated by Father Lee Lainey. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Marshall Devoe announce his peaceful passing after a seven year illness at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL surrounded by family and friends on April 7th, 2018 at the age of 83 years. Born in Loch Lomond, Codroy Valley, NL, Marshall was the son of the late Martin and Genevieve Devoe (nee MacIssac). He was predeceased by father and mother-in-law Dennis and Beatrice Muise; brother Francis Devoe; nephews Gary Francis Devoe, Gary Eric Devoe, Kirk James Devoe, Vince Devoe, Donnie Tripplett; niece Jeanette Parsons; granddaughter Robyn Paradis; sister-in-law Ella (Charlie) MacNeil; brothers-in-law John McKinney, James Muise, Kenneth Muise, Jerome Muise, Dennis (Rita) Muise and Wayne Muise. Marshall enjoyed the outdoors, his horses and his dogs. He loved tinkering with trucks and tractors along with his 1956 Willys Jeep. He loved a good game of cards, a good party and accordion music. Born: September 30th, 1983
Passed on: April 28th, 2018

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late William Joseph Dutot announces his sudden passing at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's, NL on Saturday, April 28th, 2018 at the age of 34 years. Born in Stephenville, NL, William was predeceased by his baby brother; grandfathers Arthur O'Regan, Maxwell Dutot; uncle Bradford O'Regan and special great aunt Alice Bungay (nee Dominie). A loving son and brother, William will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his loving family; his father Norman William Maxwell Dutot and his mother Wanda Marie Dutot (nee O'Regan). William was born with a severe form of Von Willebrand Disease which ultimately took his life but he went for Organ Donation so hopefully three people will get to survive from his gift. He was a very kind hearted compassionate person who loved to draw and loved gardening. He had an online family which is missing him as well. In keeping with William's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation was held on Sunday, May 6th, 2018 from 2-4 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc in Port aux Basques, NL. A memorial service and interment will take place at a later date. Born in Port aux Basques, NL, Douglas was the son of the late William and Aggie Harvey (nee Hiscock). He was also predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Jane Harvey (nee Francis); father and mother-in-law Samuel (Martha) Francis (nee Walters); brothers William Harvey, Ross Harvey and brother-in-law Thomas Delorey. HAYMAN, Linda Ruth
January 19, 1968 - April 17, 2018

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Linda Ruth Hayman announces her sudden passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 17th, 2018 at the age of 50 years. Linda was a devoted mom, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She most enjoyed spending her time with her friends and family. Her favourite hobbies were playing Bingo and cards, especially with her young nieces and nephews. Linda was a wonderful presence in the lives of her loved ones and she will be greatly missed. She was a loyal friend who was always willing to lend a hand, a listening ear, or a shoulder to cry on. Linda will always be remembered for her warm smile, kind heart, and cheerful laugh. Linda was the daughter of the late Eldon George Hayman. She was also predeceased by her baby brother George; grandparents Walter and Alvina (nee Walters) Hayman, Albert and Clara (nee Billard) Munden; uncles Hughie Hayman, Wilfred Hayman and Lewis Munden. On Saturday, April 28th, 2018, surrounded by his wife and two daughters, Eric Kendell passed away peacefully at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL at the age of 88 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving wife Irene (nee Read) of 62 years; daughters Diane (Walter) Devoe of Irishtown, NL, Cathy (Roy) Groves of Carbonear, NL; three loving grandchildren Cory Devoe of Grand Prairie, AB, Laura and Devon Groves both of Carbonear, NL. He will forever be missed by his brother Ira of Stephenville, NL; sisters Nora Greene and Muriel (Alex) Button both of Port aux Basques, NL; sister-in-law Gladys Kendell of Corner Brook, NL as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Eric was the son of the late Josiah and Rachel Kendell (nee McDonald). She was predeceased by her husband Cyril in 1989; brothers Edward Skeard, Clarence (Nina) Skeard; sisters Minnie (Reg) Musseau, Fanny (Jack) Scott, brothers and sisters-in-law George (Nina) Lomond, Alice (Edward) Keeping, Elsie (Frank) Cosgrove, Jane (Thomas) Battiste; granddaughter-in-law Samantha Lomond. Born in Port aux Basques, NL, Brenda was the daughter of the late Nathan and Martha Osmond (nee Keeping). She was predeceased by a large circle of aunts, uncles and cousins. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving common-law husband Pius Anderson of Codroy, NL; sister Nancy Osmond (Tom Francis) of Port aux Basques, NL; sisters and brothers-in-law Mary Moore, Peter (Mary Loder) Anderson, Suzanne (Randy) Hillard, Joanne (Don Donaldson) Anderson all of Codroy, NL, Dion (Doreen Harvey) Anderson of Isle aux Morts, NL; godchildren Chelsea B Pink of Gander, NL, Rachel B. Hillard of Codroy, NL; special and dearest friend Janet Anderson of Port aux Basques, NL plus a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In keeping with Brenda's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation was held on Monday, April 16th from 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc in Port aux Basques, NL. Interment of ashes at a later date. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations can be made to the family or the Canadian Cancer Society.
