CHAULK, Mary
"Nanny Mom"
December 12, 1927 - April 6, 2016

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Chaulk announces her passing at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre on April 6, 2016 at the age of 88 years. Mary was the daughter of the late John and Laura (nee Pope) Tibbo. She was also predeceased by her husband James Chaulk, and daughter Lillian Seymour. She will forever remain in the hearts of her children Leslie (Diane) Chaulk, Melvin (Ivy) Chaulk, Marcella (Eli) Strickland all of Port aux Basques NL, and Joyce (Melvin) Mauger Leduc AB, and son-in-law Leonard Seymour Port aux Basques, NL. She also leaves to mourn with memories of a loving and caring grandmother, her grandchildren Melanie (Colin), Monique (Ren), Michael (Vanessa), Michelle (Bill), Leonard (Cindy), Joy (Kevin), Corey, Karen (Mark), Jimmie (Raylene), Jason (leanne), Kelly (Greg), and Andy. She also leaves behind her 17 great grandchildren all of whom she loved dearly. She also will be remembered by her sister Juanita Day of Ontario, half-brother Harvey Lawrence of Conception Bay South NL, plus a large circle of family members of the Chaulk and Tibbo families. Visitation took place on Thursday April 7 and Friday April 8, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. Funeral services took place on Saturday, April 9 at 2 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Port aux Basques, with Rev. Clayton Billard officiating. 1927-2016

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Brenda Dominie announces her passing on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Oceanview Manor Continuing Care Center, Eastern Passage, NS with her loving family by her side. Born in Rose Blanche, she was the daughter of the late John and Harriett (Stroud) Chislett. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children, Kevin (Mary-Ann) Stephenville, Gary (Donna) Rose Blanche and Lisa (Alex) Parsons, Eastern Passage, NS, grandchildren, Michael,Kim, Joseph, Corey and Dylan, great grandchildren, Stephen and Rebecca, and great great- granddaughter, Amaih, many nieces and nephews and large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased, by her husband, James Dominie, son, Walter Dominie, brothers, Walter, Eli and George. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 3 and Wednesday, May 4 from St. Michael's and All Angels, in Rose Blanche, with funeral service to be held on Thursday, May 5 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Michael's and All Angels, with Rev. DOMINIX, JACKIE (FUDGE)
(1955-2016)
ALDOUANE, NB – Jackie Dominix
61, of Aldouane passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Belleoram, Newfoundland she was the daughter of the late John Fudge and late Lilly (Bond) Fudge. She was employed as a homemaker for Chalet du Havre in Richibucto. Jackie loved to play bingo, cribbage and collecting beach glass. Jackie will be sadly missed by her spouse, Frank Mazerolle; two sisters, Linda Lee Main (Andrew) of Noel Shore, NS, Stephanie Keough (Murray) of Thompson, MB; two brothers, Ian Fudge (Jane) of Corner Brooke, NFLD, William Fudge (Geraldine) of Port Aux Basque, NFLD and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Thompson's Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. There will be no funeral service. Arrangements are in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).

HERRIDGE, ELIZABETH JANE
November 2, 1919 - April 9, 2016

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth Jane Herridge announces her passing on Saturday, April 9, 2016 with her family by her side at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port-aux-Basques. Born in Lolly Cove, Fortune Bay she was the daughter of the late William and Hannah (Drake) May. Elizabeth was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories her daughters, Kathleen (Tom) Campbell, Norwood, Massachusetts, Cheryl (Gilbert) Lushman, Lower Sackville, NS, Iris (Peter) Cooney, Greely Ontario, Karen Herridge of Port aux Basques and Stella (Richard) Anderson, of Port-aux-Basques, eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, George Herridge, by brothers, Allan and Newman and sisters, Marion, Hazel and Rhynie. The family received friends at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Port-aux-Basques on Tuesday, April 12, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service took place on Wednesday, April 13 at 2:00 p.m., from Wesley United Church with Rev. (January 18, 1932 - April 18, 2016)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Vera Hinks (nee Keeping) announces her passing surrounded by her loving family on Monday April 18 at Western Memorial Hospital at the age of 84 years. Born at Ramea, Vera was the daughter of the late Norman and Ethel Keeping. She was also predeceased by her husband James Hinks in 2010, daughter Lillian, grandsons; Christopher, Luke, great grandson Ethan, brothers Emmanuel Keeping and Harold Keeping. Leaving to mourn with many fond and precious memories are her children; Norman Hinks (Thelma) Port aux Basques, Brenda Gillis (Rannie) Sydney NS, Linda Sheaves (Earl), Bob Hinks (Marie), Ruth Elms (Brian) all of Port aux Basques, Diann Hinks (Harry) Halifax NS, Bruce Hinks (Joanne), special daughter Violet Roberts all of Port aux Basques. A proud grandmother, great grandmother, great, great grandmother she will forever be missed by her 21 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harvey James Howell announces his passing at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre on April 16, 2016 at the age of 80 years. Born in Greens Harbour, Trinity Bay, Harvey was the son of the late Walter and Mary (nee Rockwood) Howell. He was also predeceased by his brother Gerald Howell and a large circle of many more brothers and sisters. It is with great sadness the family of the late Archibald Keeping, originally of Ramea, NL, passed peacefully away at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Sunday, April 3, 2016, a week before his 64th birthday, ending a courageous ten-month battle with brain cancer. Leaving to mourn his wife: Trudy; sons: David (Kathryn Roberts), Derek (Monique Keeping); daughters: Rebecca (Johnathan) Milley, Lisa (Steven Ward); grandchildren: Theodore, Marianne and Aidan; mother: Esther Keeping; brothers: Sandy (Sheila), Kelly (Heather); sisters: Bernice (Ron) Keeping, Joyce (Cecil) Marsden, Mary (Ian) Stewart, Edith (Mike) Maillet; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Wilbur Keeping. Cremation has taken place. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Geraldine Keeping (nee Herritt) announces her sudden passing on Monday April 4 at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 74 years. Born at Burnt Islands, Geraldine was the daughter of the late John and Rhoda Herritt. She was also predeceased by her sons; Terrance, Hughie, Gordie, sister Hannah Jane Morrie (Cecil), mother and father in law Lillian and John Keeping, son in law Percy Thorne, brothers in law; Roy Priddle, Ralph Keeping, James Keeping, Angus Keeping, sister in law Juanita Skinner. She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories her devoted husband Hughie of 57 years. LEAMON, Louis Benjamin
March 4, 1945 - April 8, 2016
Leamon, Louis Benjamin - 1945-2016
Louis passed away peacefully on April 8 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, MB after a very brief illness with a rare incurable disease Acute Pulmonary Fibrosis. Born and raised in Port aux Basques, NL, he was the son of the late Abraham and Ellen (Anderson) Leamon. Louis is survived by his wife Michele (Gouthro) Dartmouth, daughter Karen Briand Halifax step son Jeff (Erin) Alberta, step granddaughters Ainsley, Callan and Reese, sister Elsie Legge, Winnipeg, brothers Abe and Hubert (Alice) of Port aux Basques, NL as well as many nieces and nephews. Also surviving, his first wife Paulette (Cleveland) mothers in law Marjorie Gouthro and Betty Zinck. Louis was also predeceased by sister Lavenia, brother Cecil, sister in law Gladys, fathers in law Michael Gouthro and Arch Zinck. Louis spent most of his working career in the construction industry (painting, plaster repair and taping) but there was no trade he wouldn't tackle and with great success. Louis worked up until a few months before he passed away and also enjoyed tinkering and experimenting in his garage. His favourite pass time was playing lead guitar. He felt very blessed that he was able to winter in Mexico for the last eighteen years. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at A L Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland St, Dartmouth on May 24, at 3 p.m. Reception to follow. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice. Internment will take place in Port aux Basques, NL at a later date. Our family has said the final goodbyes today, April 6, 2016, to Stanley LeDrew, a kind father, a loving Husband and an affectionate Grandfather. He was 94. Stanley was the son of the late Peter and Rosie Jane (nee Burry) LeDrew. He is also predeceased by his wives Elizabeth (nee Diamond) LeDrew in 1948 and Ivy (nee Elliott) LeDrew in 1993, and grandson Stanley LeDrew. He has left behind his wife Ruth, his children Leighton (Fe) Stoney Plain AB, Wayne (Linda) Sherwood Park AB, Kay Corner Brook NL and Nancy Quebec, grandchildren Stacey Bancroft, Carol Preece (Mark), David LeDrew (Jenna), Amy Pedersen (Chris Holmes), Curtis LeDrew (Lynette), Leighton Warren (Brittney) and Carrie Pelletier (Joey), great grandchildren Stephanie, Ryan and Ashely Bancroft, Travis, Braeden and Melissa LeDrew, Alexander and Rachel Preece, Nicole LeDrew, Dean and Cierra Pedersen, and Great great grandchildren Samuel and Leah Hunt, and Kayzden Pedersen and his oldest brother Fred LeDrew of Bay Roberts. Also feeling the profound loss are his step family that he gained when he married his wife Ruth. Her children, Susanne (Hubert) Ingram Port aux Basques NL, Derek Walters Halifax NS, Rita (Wayne) Anderson Port aux Basques NL, and Dianne (Donald) Gray Great Grand Mira NS and 7 grandchildren, along with their spouses and 5 great grandchildren all together created a warm family environment. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her devoted husband Wilfred of 48 years. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth Marsden (nee Pink) announces her sudden passing on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the Calder Health Care Centre in Burgeo at the age of 89 years. Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Fred and Katherine Pink. She was also predeceased by her husband Garfield Marsden, brothers Max Pink and Clyde Pink, sisters Gladys and MaryAnn, Daughter-in-law Vivian Marsden. She will forever be sadly missed by her children daughters, Sylvia (Edgar), Nita (Stanley) and Etta (Larry); sons, Jim (Edith), Lynn (Marie), Owen (Paulette) and Clyde (Roxann); 21 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren; two sisters, Maggie (Jerry) and Shirley (Jim); one brother, Arthur (Viola); brother-in-law Allen Marsden, as well as many relatives and friends. She will also be fondly remembered by her special friend Eva Dolliment. Thank you to the pallbearers Jim, Lynn, Owen, Clyde, Stan, Larry and Trent. A celebration of her life took place on Friday, April 22nd, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at St. John's the Evangelist Church Burgeo with Reverend David Taylor officiating. Interment followed at the Burgeo Community Cemetery.

ORGAN, Ethel Gertie
(September 21, 1960 - April 27, 2016)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ethel Organ (nee Riles) announces her passing on Wednesday April 27, at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 55 years. Born in West Point, Ethel was the daughter of the late Hubert and Beatrice Riles, she was also predeceased by her sister Vivian Pike, Grandson Peter Organ, mother in law Irene Organ, nephew Ben Romig, brother in law Junior Wall. She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories her loving husband Winston of 35 years. Proud mother of daughters; Georgina Riles (Shawn Leamon) Middle Sackville NS, April Francis (Harry) Port aux Basques, Jonathan Organ Lapoile. She will also be sadly missed by her precious grandchildren; Kevin Organ, Brooke Francis, Peyton Francis. She will remain in the hearts of her sisters and brothers; Gerald (Dawn) Riles Alberta, Elsie Wall Syndey Mines NS, Angus Riles (Mildred), Clarence Riles (Jennifer) all of Sydney NS, Keith Riles (Dana) Truro NS, Fred Riles (Jean) Cape Ray, Charlie Riles (Dulcie), Shirley Riles (Ben) all of Port aux Basques, Ivy Romig (Chris) USA, Connie Riles (Johnny) Dartmouth NS, Darlene Kwakernack (John) Nova Scotia, father in law Donald Organ (Elsie) Lapoile, brothers and sisters in law; Harold Organ (Susie) St. John's NL, Joan Simms (Garfield) Marys Harbour NL, Dennis Organ (Darlene) Louisburgh NS, Carl Organ (Colleen) Lapoile, Travis Organ (Elissa) Red Deer AB, Robert Pike (Susan) Codroy Valley and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation taking place on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East haven Funeral Home Inc, Port aux Basques. Funeral services taking place on Saturday April 30, 3 PM at Wesley United Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Kathleen Anderson, interment will follow at Wesley United Cemetery, Trans Canada Highway. PEARCE, Annie Theresa
(September 5, 1954 - April 17, 2016)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Annie Pearce (nee Osmond) announces her sudden passing on Sunday April 17 at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 61 years. Born in Port aux Basques, Annie was the daughter of the late Emanuel and Theresa Osmond. She was also predeceased by her son Emanuel Isaac, brothers Lew Osmond, Ralph Osmond, mother and father in law Caroline and Isaac Pearce, brothers in law; Frank Pearce, Albert Taylor. She leaves to mourn with a lifetime of precious memories her loving and devoted husband Hiram of 44 years. She will forever be sadly missed by her children Susan Pearce (Keith Brown) Port aux Basques, Vernon Pearce (Trudy) Corner Brook NL. The best nanny ever, she will forever remain in the hearts of her precious grandchildren Logan Fudge and Courtney Pearce. She will also be fondly remembered by her sister Goldie Osmond Port aux Basques, brothers and sisters in law; Nelson Pearce (Marie) Eastern Passage NS, Lionel Pearce (Sylvia) Port aux Basques, Mary (Reg) Chevalier Red Rocks, Eva Ingram (Donnie) Deer Lake NL, Catherine Taylor Port aux Basques, Leo Pearce Dartmouth NS, Reg Pearce (Frances), Esther Chretien (Gerald) all of Ontario, Daisy Hayward St. John’s NL. Esther Pearce, Catherine Osmond all of Port aux Basques, Florence MacIsaac South Branch and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. In keeping with Annie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at East Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A celebration of her life will take place on Thursday April 21, 2 PM at St. James Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Clayton Billard. Interment will follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers graciously accepted or donations can be made to the family.
