(July 11, 1938 - April 21, 2015)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late C. Mary Clarke announces her passing at her residence on April 21, 2015 at the age of 76 years. Mary was predeceased by her father John Hardy, husband Bert, son Bradley, infant son Gary, brother Clifford Hardy, brothers-in-law Roy Currie, Bill Hardy, Reginald Heron, George Clarke, Henry Clarke, Keltie Clarke, Russell (Edith) Clarke, and sisters-in-law Mamie (Art) Dollimount, Theresa (Tom) Strickland, Maude (Simeon) Billard. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Robbie (Angela) Clarke Harbour Le Cou, mother Annie Hardy Port aux Basques, grandchildren Terry Clarke Vancouver BC, Jeremy (Lisa) Clarke Harbour Le Cou, and Jamie (Tammy) Hatcher Sydney Mines NS, great grandson Blake, brothers Jack (Yvonne) Hardy Port aux Basques, Gerald (Mary) Hardy Rose Blanche, sisters Joyce (Fred) Wells Burgeo, Rita Currie Rose Blanche and Violet (Russell) Clarke Rose Blanche, brother-in-law Gerald (Margaret) Clarke British Colombia, sisters-in-law Melita Hardy Corner Brook, Jane Heron Harbour Le Cou, Shirley Hardy Rose Blanche, Vera Clarke Rose Blanche and Louise Clarke Rose Blanche, caregivers Joanne Hatcher and Denise Bird, plus a large circle of nephews, nieces and many friends. Visitation took place on Thursday and Friday from St. Michael and All Angel's Anglican Church in Rose Blanche. Funeral services took place on Saturday, April 25 at 11 AM from St. Michael's and All Angel's Anglican Church with Rev. Jeff Petten officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Haven Anglican Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. Flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. GALE, Theresa Marie
(August 11, 1955 - April 17, 2015)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Theresa Marie Gale announces her passing at the Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Centre on April 17, 2015 at the age of 59 years. Theresa was the daughter of the late Edward and Mabel (nee Snow) Gale. Also predeceased by her Uncle Simon Gale, Aunts Kathleen Bower, Theresa Heffernan and Sophia Smith. Also cousins Kevin Smith, Gerald Smith, Raymond Gale and Linda Gale. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, Aunt Margaret Crouse of Middleton, Nova Scotia, the Gale family of the Codroy Valley aunt and uncle Patrick & Pauline Gale, cousins Lena (Jim) Ryan Goulds NL, Gerry (Judy) Gale Millville NL, Marilyn MacIsaac Halifax NS, Donald (Cathy) Gale Great Codroy NL, Brian (Bonnie) Gale, Johnny (Pauline) Gale both of Doyles NL, Allie (Martina) Gale Gander NL, and Marita (Glen) Wells Massey Drive NL, other cousins Randy Parsons Great Codroy, and Bill Curnew Searston, Leonard (Liz) Smith Ontario, Irene Ryan Codroy, Richard (Rose) Smith Millville, Ann (Roland) Kendell Woodvile, Joan (Roddie) Brennan Millville, Barbara (Dan) O'Quinn Cormack plus relatives and the extended Gale family living away. John was the son of the late Wallace and Dora (nee Keeping) Hill. He was also predeceased by his daughter Elizabeth, sisters Bertha, Elsie, Annie and Gertie, and his parents-in-law Philip & Jessie LeMoine. Born in Burnt Islands, Lorraine was the daughter of the late George and Martha Harris. She was also predeceased by her granddaughter Langdon, sister Cedella (Ralph) Hardy, baby brother Maurice, mother and father in law Beatrice and Harvey James, sisters in law; Melita (Onslow) Billard, Sylvia James, brothers in law; Robert Miller, Mark Janes. She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories her devoted husband Wallace Sr. of 56 years. Loving mother of Everett (Marilyn) James, Bernadette (Dennis) Taylor, Wallace Jr. (Kimberly) James all of Burnt Islands. Trevor (Vanessa) James Lanse au Loup, Labrador. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing Mary Lavina Kinslow at the Dr.Charles LeGrow Health Cetnre on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the age of 78. Born in Burgeo, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Lillian (Crant) Kinslow. She leaves to mourn brother, Owen Kinslow, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by, two sisters and four brothers. Family and friends may Fillatre's Funeral Home,134 Main Street, Port-aux-Basques on Friday, May 1 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Saturday starting at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Isle-aux-Morts. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 3 at 2:00 p.m. from the Holy Spirit Anglican Church with Rev. Maryrose Colbourne officiating, with interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery. (June 25, 1923 - April 19, 2015)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Daniel Lawrence announces his passing at the Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Centre on April 19, 2015 at the age of 91 years. Daniel was the son of the late Nicholas and Mary Ann Lawrence. He was also predeceased by his daughter Martha, Son Gordon, Grandchildren Shawn Hatcher and Cathy Fae, and great-grandson Ben Lawrence, five brothers and one sister. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his loving and devoted wife Gladys of 70 years, sons Willard (Fay), Raymond (Patsy), Danny (Liz), Perry (Susan), Dean (Norma), Bobby (Denise), Scott (Sandra). Daughters Louise (Phil) Hatcher, Bonnetta (Wes) Organ, Julie Lawrence (Don Strickland), Ann (Nelson) Samms, Coreen (Kevin) Skinner, Maisie (Percy) Evans, Marilyn Badduik (Brad Pearson), Shaunna (Scott) Reid, Tracy (Darren) Button, and daughter- in- law Wanda Lawrence. Grandsons Ricky, Warren, Chris, Todd, Marco, Matthew, Clifford, Myles, Nickolas, Bret, Adam, Lucas, Cody, Jake, and Charlie. James was predeceased by his father James Thomas Lawrence Sr., brother Henry, sister Ann Lawrence Fudge (John), nephews; Johnny, Shawn, nieces; Monica, Joanne, Maxine. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his son Wade (Nancy) Lawrence Greenwood NS, grandchildren Morgan, Macy and his mother Lillian Lawrence of Port aux Basques. Born in South Branch, Peter was the son of the late Denis and Beatrice Muise. He was also predeceased by his children; Barbara Ann, Randall, Theodore, mother and father in law Sheila and Winslow Barkhouse, sister Ella (McNeil) Charles, brothers; Jerome Muise, James Muise, Wayne Muise, sister in law Rita Muise and an extended circle of brothers and sisters in law. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his loving and devoted wife Lillian of 60 years. Proud father of Richard Muise Halifax NS, Ronald (Brenda) Muise, Bonnie Muise (Denis St-Pierre) all of South Branch, Corey Muise (Natasha McIsaac) St. Andrew's, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Margaret Osmond announces her sudden passing on Tuesday April 7 at her residence in Grand Bay West at the age of 79 years. Born in Port aux Basques, Margaret was the daughter of the late Cyril J and Violet Osmond. She was also predeceased by her sister Annie Kettle, brothers John (Jack) Osmond and Levi Osmond. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of precious memories is her devoted husband Israel Osmond of 60 years. Loving mother of Darlene Osmond Port aux Basques, Alice (Gerry Beson) Labrador City, John (Sonya) Osmond Middle Sackville NS, Cyril Osmond (Susan Webb) Wabush, Labrador. Proud grandmother of Lorne (Katrina), Holly (Cameron), Ross, Karla, Kailey, Journey, Jesse and proud great grandmother of Cadence. She will forever remain in the hearts of her brothers and sisters; Gord (Doll) Osmond, Joe (Joan) Osmond all of British Columbia, Pearl Osmond, Julia (Norman) Short, Catherine (Kitty) Stan Pearce, brother in law George (Maisie) Osmond all of Port aux Basques and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. Margaret loved a good game of cards and she was a very active member of the Gateway Seniors Club where she devoted many hours of volunteer work and had lots of fun there just because it made her happy, she will be surely missed for her great sense of humour and her laughter. Visitation took place on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home. The funeral service took place on Friday April 10, 2 PM at St. Paul's Anglican Church Grand Bay, officiated by Rev. Steven Maki. In keeping with Margaret's wishes cremation followed. Donation's in her memory can be made to the family and they are going to distribute them to Margaret's favourite charities. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Catherine "Kitty" Pearce announces her passing at Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Center with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the age of 78. Born in Port-aux-Basques she was the daughter of the late Cyril J and Violet Osmond. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Stanley of 60 years, her children, Garry Pearce (Ellen Osmond), Gordon (Beverley) Pearce, Cathy (Terry) Lomond, Glenn Pearce (Theresa Coombs), Sherry Pearce and Robert Pearce, her grandchildren, Mitchell Lomond (Hayley Delaney), Ashley Coombs (Robert Sangster); brothers, Gordon (Doll) Osmond, Joseph (Joan) Osmond, both of British Columbia, Pearl Osmond, Julia (Norman Short) both of Port-aux-Basques, brother-in-law, Israel Osmond, Port-aux-Basques, sisters-in-law, Bridgett Button, Port-aux-Basques, Elizabeth Mahar, Nova Scotia, Nina Pearce, Port-aux-Basques and Sheila Osmond, British Columbia and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. She was predeceased by sisters, Ann Kettle, Margaret Osmond and brothers, John (Jack) Osmond and Levi Osmond. Kitty loved the outdoors, loved music. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 and Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Fillatre's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 24 at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, officiated by Rev. Clayton Billard. In keeping with Kitty's wishes cremation to follow. WARREN, Wilfred
June 26, 1948 - April 9, 2015
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wilfred Warren announce that he passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving wife Patty at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox, BC at the age of 66 years. Born on Fox Island, NL, Wilfred was the son of the late Jessie and Emmanuel Warren, he was also predeceased by his sister Maisie Marie. He leaves to mourn, with fond and precious memories, his wife Patty, sons Mike (Tanya) and Dwayne (Christine), stepdaughter Kimberly (Rick), brothers Calvin (Annabelle), Edwin (Kay), and Lorne (Debbie), sisters Brenda (Earl), and Beulah (Roger), six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews that he adored, and a wide circle of family and friends. Wilfred was a very kind and caring individual who touched the lives of many people. His fun loving personality will be missed by the many people he communicated with every day. He was an avid hockey fan and loved his Maple Leafs. He was a true Newfoundlander salt of the earth. Cremation has already taken place in BC and interment will take place at a later date here in Newfoundland. Donations in his memory can be made to the Holy Spirit Church memorial fund in Isle aux Morts or to the Hillside Haven Cemetery fund.
