BALL, George Matthew
(November 26, 1926 - April 29, 2010)

It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Matthew Ball announces his passing on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's, NL at the age of 83 years. Matthew was the son of the late Llewellyn and Martha Ann Ball. He was also predeceased by his wife Carrie Ball; sisters Edith Spencer and Lottie Durnford; and brothers John and Gordon Ball. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving family: son Vincent (Florence) of Fort St. John, B.C, and daughter Angela (Edward) Downey of Marystown, NL; grandchildren Colin (Tina), Colleen (Don), Roma (Derick), Trina (Randy) and Renee' (Joe); great-grandchildren Ian, Camryn, Raegon, Ethan and Samantha; sister Vera (Dominic) LeFresne; and a large circle of family and friends. Funeral services took place on Monday, May 3, 2 p.m. at the Holy Spirit Church in Isle aux Morts officiated by Rev. Duncan Granter. Internment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in care of East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux Basques, 695-2300 www.easthavenfuneralhome.com

WALL, BERNARD JOSEPH
MAY 5, 1924 - APRIL 2, 2010

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bernard Joseph Wall announces his passing on Friday, April 2, 2010 at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Center in Port aux Basques at the age of 85 years. Born at St. Andrew's, Bernard was the son of the late John and Madeline (nee Maclsaac) Wall. He was also predeceased by his sister Mary Murray, brothers Frank and Ray. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving family: devoted wife Adele (nee Luedee) of 55 years marriage; daughters Eileen (Cal) Luedee Riverview NB, Clara (Bill) Derraugh St. John's NL, Diana (Ron) Parsons Wabush NL, Martina (Allan) Gale Labrador City NL; sons Kevin (Val) Wabush NL, Earl (Darlene) Wabush NL, Ronald (Caroline) Corner Brook NL; thirteen grandchildren Tahneen, Talia, Tyla, Chantelle, Shaiene, Bradley, Lynsey, Lesley, Justin, Shannon, Kelcie, Chad, Lukas; two great-grandchildren Hayden and Jameson; brothers Jim Codroy Valley NL, Gus St. Catherine's ON; sister Agnes Johnson Montreal PQ; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation took place on Monday and Tuesday at the Church of The Precious Blood in St. Andrew's. Funeral mass took place on Wednesday, April 7, 10:00 a.m. at the Church of The Precious Blood officiated by Father Edward Terry. Interment followed at the Precious Blood Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in Bernard's memory can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Funeral arrangements were in the care of East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux Basques, 695-2300. www.easthavenfuneralhome.com

WALTERS, George Ivan
(January 1, 1945 - April 30, 2010)
It is with great sadness that the family of the Late George Ivan Walters announces his passing on Friday April 30, 2010 at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 65 years. He was predeceased by his parents Maxwell and Mary Walters and grandson Brandon Walters. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his wife of 42 years Caroline also two sons Derek (Janine) and Dwayne of Keswick, Ontario. Two grandchildren Ashley and Madelyn of Oshawa, Ontario. Brothers Herman (Jeanette) of Carbonear, NL, Basil (Albertine) Newmarket, Ontario. Sisters Marie (George) St. Croix of Cape Ray, NL, Lorraine of Port Saunders, NL. He will also be missed by a large circle of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation took place on Sunday and Monday form 2-4 and 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Tuesday April 4, 11 AM at St. James Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Hannah Dicks. Interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Funeral arrangements were in the care of East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux Basques, 695-2300. www.easthavenfuneralhome.com
