OSMOND, Morgan Alice
1994 - 2007
Morgan Alice Osmond, of Moncton, passed away with her Mom and Dad by
her side, at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday morning April 4, 2007 at
the tender age of 13 years. Morgan was born in Moncton, on January 30, 1994.
She was a Grade 7 student at Birchmount School. She had many interests, particularly
arts and crafts. Morgan had a special place in her heart for her cats Simon and
Rudy and was a number one fan of her brother Nick’s hockey team. She will
be forever loved and always remembered by her parents Rick and Tracey (Tizzard)
Osmond; brother Nicholas Osmond; maternal grandparents Winse and Patricia Tizzard
of Calgary, AB; paternal grandparents Dorothy and the late Harry Osmond of Port
aux Basques, NL; great-grandmother Greta Spencer “Nan Spencer” of
Port aux Basques, NL; Aunts Lesley Ann Tizzard of Calgary, AB, Nancy Osmond of
St. John’s, NL, Lou-Ann Clarke and Ken of Elmvale, ON; uncle Harry and
Michelle Osmond of Port aux Basques, NL; also by many cousins and her best friend
Alli. Besides her paternal grandfather Harry, she was predeceased by her great-grandmother
Sheila Squires “Mom Mom” in 2006; her aunt Stephanie Tizzard
in 1995 and by her special friend Charlotte. The Funeral service was held at
Tuttle Brother Memorial Chapel on Sunday, April 8, 2007 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Aaron
Billard officiating.
The family members of the late Morgan Osmond would like to express our
sincere thanks to our family and many friends for your thoughtfulness and kindness
during the recent passing of our sweet little girl Morgan, who died fighting
a long hard battle with cancer. We greatly acknowledge the many expressions
of sympathy through cards; flowers, phone calls and donations to The Children’s
Wish Foundations, plus donations to ones choice. Also the many online condolences.
It is so much comfort to know there are a lot of caring people for us while
we go through this most difficult time in our lives. It is impossible to thank
everyone individually, but please know your kindness will never be forgotten
it will always remain in our hearts with all our precious memories of Morgan.

November 7, 1922 - April 7, 2007
Passed away peacefully at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre in Stephenville
Crossing on Saturday, April 7, 2007, Margaret Chaisson aged 84 years. Predeceased
by husband, Simon J.; sisters, Annie and Stella; brother, Andrew; and son,
Patrick. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories five daughters,
Mary (John Malone), Genevieve (Curtis White), Lillian (Phillip Miller), Salome
(Ford Osmond) and Elizabeth (Elias Hawco); four sons, David, George, Tom (Betty)
and Michael (Michelle); two brothers, Patrick (Bride) and Michael (Laura);
three sisters, Rita, Lucy (Edward) and Lillian (Jack); 18 grandchildren and
11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass took place at
Precious Blood Church, St. Andrews, Codroy Valley with interment on Thursday,
April 12, 2007 at St. Andrews Cemetery. Thanks and appreciation for the great
care and support provided by the staff of the Bay St. George Long Term Care
Centre, many friends for their donations of flowers, food, donations to the

1919 - 2007
Passed away at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Tuesday,
April 10, 2007 Gordon Billard at the age of 87 years. Born at Margaree he was the son
of the late Julia and Martin Billard. He was also predeceased by his brothers
and sisters, Berkley (Ida), Thomas, Naomi Thomas (Keltie), Mildred Willis (Emmanuel),
Gabriel and brother-in-law, Bert Warren. He leaves to mourn with loving memories
his wife, Ada; and children, Joan (Albert) Herritt of Rose Blanche, Bernice
of Margaree and Kelvin (Roma) Billard of Margaree; six grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren; sister, Caroline Warren; brother-in-law, James Ingram;
and sister-in-law, Effie Billard; special caretaker, Elizabeth Meade; and a
large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and family. Visitation took place
on Wednesday and Thursday at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, Margaree.
Funeral services took place on Friday, April 13, 2007 at 2 p.m. at St. Augustine’s
Church officiated by Rev. Evelyn Smith. Interment followed at St. Augustine’s
Cemetery Margaree. Funeral arrangements in the care of East Haven Funeral Home,

SMITH, Justin Gerard
1945 - 2007
Passed away at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Tuesday,
April 10, 2007, Justin Gerard Smith at the age of 61 years. Born at Millville he was
the son of the late Annie and Benedict Smith. He was also predeceased by his
sisters, Margaret Sheppard and Geraldine Smith; brother, Joseph; brothers-in-law,
Cyril Ryan, Allie Downey and Edward MacIsaac. He leaves to mourn his daughter,
Madonna (Jim) Carde of Brampton and son, Gerard of Durham; three grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Bridget Downey of Great
Codroy, Tillie Ryan (Arthur) of Robinsons, Marie (George) Downey of O’Regans,
Rita (John) MacIsaac of Millville, Geraldine (Ed) Henry of Millville, Edward
(Gladys) Smith of Millville, Vincent Smith of Port aux Basques, Allan (Laverne)
Smith of Boswarlos, Jerome (Petrina) Smith of Brampton; brother-in-law, Clyde
Sheppard of Sydney, NS; and sister-in-law, Ruth Smith of Truro, NS; and a large

at St. Anne’s RC Church. Funeral Mass took place on Thursday, April 12,
2007 at 2 p.m. at St. Anne’s Church officiated by Father Lee Lainey.

FORD, Junior Cyril
March 11, 1930 - April 14, 2007
Passed away peacefully at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Saturday,
April 14, 2007 Junior Cyril Ford of Port aux Basques at the age of 77 years.
Born in Port aux Basques he was the son of the late James and Frances Ford.
He was also predeceased by his wife, Sophia (nee Walters); mother and father-in-law,
Maggie and Nathan Walters; sisters, Catherine (John) Osmond, Vera (Jack Nathan)
Osmond, Mamie (Ozzie) Campbell and Jenny (James) Musseau; brothers, Garland
Ford, Charlie (Irene) Ford, John Ford and Harold Ford; brother-in-law, Fred
McNeil and Elsie Ford. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his
loving family: daughters, Crenia (Austin) Surette of Yarmouth, NS; granddaughter,
Rona Seaward (Cory) of Port aux Basques; grandson, Rex (Noreen) Seaward of
Halifax, NS; great-grandchildren, Brittany and Calista; sister, Violet McNeil
of Port aux Basques; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Bowles of Kingston, NS, Deloris
(Herb) Mauger of Bridgewater, NS; brothers-in-law, Roland Walters of Dartmouth,
NS, Nathan (Shirley) Walters of Lower Sackville, NS; and a large circle of

ST. CROIX, Annie
February 13, 1902 - April 17, 2007
Passed peacefully away at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux
Basques on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, Mrs. Annie St. Croix of South Branch at
the age of 105 years. Leaving to mourn are her sons, Joseph (Margaret) of South
Branch, Frank (Margaret) of South Branch, Fintan (Mary) of South Branch and
Gareth (Ita) of South Branch; daughters, Margaret Aucoin of South Branch, Elizabeth
(John) Forward of Buchans, NL; special grandson, Peter (Cindy) St. Croix of
South Branch; also 50 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren and 38 great-great-grandchildren;
daughters-in-law, Sadie St. Croix of South Branch, and Linda St. Croix of Stephenville
Crossing, NL; and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. She was
predeceased by her husband, Stanley St. Croix; sons, Peter and Nicholas; eight
grandchildren; and son-in-law, Hugh Aucoin. Visitation took place on Tuesday
and Wednesday at St. Sylvester’s Roman Catholic Church in South Branch.
Funeral Mass took place on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Sylvester’s
Roman Catholic Church, officiated by Father Lee Lainey. Interment followed
at St. Sylvester’s Cemetery. Funeral arrangements in the care of East

HORWOOD, Melita Elsie
July 4, 1927 - April 26, 2007
Passed away peacefully at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on
Thursday, April 26, 2007, Melita Elsie Horwood of Rose Blanche at the
age of 79 years. Born at Rose Blanche she was the daughter of the late
John and Alice Wells. She was also predeceased by her husband, Albert
in November of 2006; and son-in-law, Ronald Parsons. She leaves to mourn
with fond and loving memories her children, Florence Parsons of Rose
Blanche, Dennis (Walterine) of Rose Blanche and Anderine (George) Carroll
of Eastern Passage, NS; four grandchildren, Denise Graham (Scott), Donna
Parsons (Colin), Angel Wheaton (Bob) and John Parsons (Brooke); three
great-grandchildren, Susan Graham, Mark Graham and Cody Parsons; sister-in-law,
Alma Peach of Glace Bay, NS, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and
many friends. Visitation took place on Friday and Saturday at St. Michael’s
and All Angels Anglican Church Rose Blanche. Funeral service took place
on Sunday, April 29, 2 p.m. at St. Michael’s Anglican Church, officiated
by Rev. Ken Abbott. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Anglican Cemetery,

MACNEIL, Walter
August 8, 1934 - April 28, 2007
Passed away peacefully at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner
Brook on April 28, 2007 in his 72nd year. He was predeceased
by his parents, John and Adeline MacNeil; his wife, Alice; one sister,
Gertrude Doucette; seven brothers, Albert, William, Robert, Thomas, Gerard,
Joseph and Bernard. He leaves to mourn eight children, Robert MacNeil
(Lavina) of Dartmouth, Ada Short (Rick) of Port aux Basques, Anna Collier
(Walter) of Dartmouth, Martina Patey (Paul) of Dartmouth, Martin MacNeil
(Michelle) of Lawrencetown, Timmy MacNeil (Sharon) of the Codroy Valley,
Donald MacNeil (Valerie) of Dartmouth and Wendy Matheson (Mark) of Prospect
Bay. He also leaves to mourn three brothers, Norman, Medrick and Raymond;
11 grandchildren; and a wide circle of friends and family. Funeral services
took place on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Precious
Blood in St. Andrew’s officiated by Father Lee Lainey. Interment
at the Church of the Precious Blood Cemetery in St. Andrew’s. Funeral
arrangements were in the care of the East Haven Funeral Home in Port
aux Basques.
