07-09-1924 Marion Louisa Gay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson H. Gay of Huntingdon PQ, married Wesley E. Halfyard, of St. John's Newfoundland. At the Manse, in Huntingdon PQ, by Rev. Dr. MacLean.

06-27-1931 Ruth Winifred Hawley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Hawley of Ormstown PQ, married Rev. Richard Fiander, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Fiander of English Harbor West, Fortune Bay, Newfoundland. At the Diocesan Theological College, Montreal PQ,

11-07-1933 Miss Margaret Noseworthy, of Montreal PQ, married Mr. Alfred Hustins, of St. John's Newfoundland. At the Presbyterian Manse, in Hemmingford PQ, by Rev. H. P Maitland.

10-03-1936 Marquerite Windsor, daughter of Captain and Mrs. William C. Windsor, of St. John's Newfoundland, married Douglas Ross Cooper, son of the late Dr. Merrill A and Mrs. Cooper of Ormstown PQ. At the Trinity United Church, in Shawinigan Falls, by the Rev.R. Charlton

07-23-1931 To Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Brain, (nee Janet Reid) at Cornerbrook, Newfoundland, a son.


OBITUARIES

11-18-1931 John C. Reid of Huntingdon PQ, beloved husband of Elizabeth M. Thompson, died suddenly at the Montreal General Hospital, age 59 years. A prominent farmer in Leeds, Compton County Ont. he is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Lilli Thompson of Leeds. One son, Charles, at home, four daughters, Mrs. Cecil Brain, of Cornerbrook Newfoundland, Mrs. D. B. MacFarlane of Montreal, Miss. Alma Reid and Mrs. Raymond Kellam of Toronto, there are also surviving three brothers, Rev. W. D. Reid, DD of Montreal, Rev. Allan S. Reid, DD of Montreal, and Rev. Andrew Reid of Winnipeg MB, three sisters, Dr. Eva C. Reid of San Francisco CA, Mrs. R.G.Kidd, and Mrs. J. G. Thompson of Vancouver BC.

07-06-1929 Harry Davis, beloved husband of Rhoda Stanley, and son of Thomas Davis, of Harbor Grace, Newfoundland, died at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal PQ, aged 37 years. Interred at St. Andrew's Cemetery, Chateauguay Basin PQ.
