Passed suddenly away on September 4, 2011, Scott Matthew Butler at his residence in Botwood. He was 60 years of age. Mr. Butler retired from Abitibi Price in 2002. He was predeceased by his father, William; sister, Patsy Marie and niece, Sydney Blake; nephew, Daryl Newton. He leaves to mourn his wife, Joan Paul; daughter, Robin (fiancé Barry Bowser); mother, Frances Butler; sisters, Phyllis (Eric) Newton; Sadie (Kenneth) Williams, Joyce (Tony) Conforti; brothers, Wilson (Alice), James (Irma), Levi (Gloria); grandson, Brendan; brothers-in-law, Andy (Barb), Ralph (Pat), Bill (Bernadette), Roy (Shelley), Frank (Paula); sisters-in-law, Evelyn Paul, Joan (Bram) Rowsell, Louise (Cecil) Jewer, Ella (George) Decker, Maisie (Austin) Jewer, Eva (Junior) Thompson, Maureen (Steve) Hobbs, Anita (James) Rice, Joy (Wavel) Peddle, and Lynette. Pastor Jason Williams conducted funeral services from the Seventh-day Adventist Church on September 8, 2011. Interment was at the Seventh-day Adventist Church cemetery, Botwood. CATER, George (Tommy)
Born: October 16th, 1924
Passed on: September 23rd, 2011

It is with great sadness that the family of the late George N. (Tommy) Cater, P. Eng announce his passing at the CNRHC, in Grand Falls-Windsor on Sept. 23, 2011, at the age of 86. Tommy was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 12, Grand Falls Rotary Club, Lifetime member of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of NL. He retired from Abitibi-Price in 1988. Tommy is predeceased by his father, George B.; mother, Katie; and brother, John. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife, Frances (nee Green); sons, Neil (Sheila) of Portugal Cove, NL; Robert (Elizabeth) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; precious granddaughters, Nicole and Stephanie; sisters, Phyllis Little (Norman-deceased) of St. Catherines, ON, Clara George (David) of Toronto, ON; brothers, Lloyd (Margaret) of St. Catherines, ON, Max (Mavis) of Fredericton, NB. It is with sadness that the families of the late Margaret Cramm announce her passing at her residence on September 11, 2011 in Botwood, NL, aged 71. Margaret is predeceased by her husband, Andrew; parents, George and Julie Budgell. Passed peacefully away on September 9, 2011, Bridget Galway of Buchan's Junction. She was 84 years of age. Predeceased by husband, William; son, Billy; and daughter, Helen. Left to mourn are sons, Bob (Blanche), Tom, Jerry, Brendan; and daughter, Linda (Scott Elliott). Also leaving to mourn 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. GILL, Robert Shane

Passed on: September 28th, 2011

Suddenly at his home in Bond Head, Ontario, on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, Bob Gill at the age of 64 years. Son of the late Douglas and Eileen (Jewer) of Botwood. Also predeceased by infant son, Kevin, in 1966. Left to mourn is son, Monty (Glynda) Gill, daughter, Shelley (Daniel) Harris, their mother, Joan (nee Callahan), son, Rob Gill, and his mother, Paula MacDougall. Dear "Grampy" of Kyle Gill, and Sara and Adam Harris. Survived by brother, Wayne (Doreen), aunts, uncles, nephews, great-nieces, and a large circle of family and friends, both in Ontario and Newfoundland. Lovingly remembered by Mrs. Blanche Callahan and family. A Cremation and Memorial Service were held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home in Bradford, Ontario, on October 5, 2011 and, as per Bob's wishes, he is being returned home to his final resting place beside his parents and son. A Memorial Service will be held at the Botwood Anglican Church on Saturday, August 25, at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at the new Anglican Cemetery. Passed away on Sept. 7, 2011 at the Central NL Regional Health Care Centre, Sadie Hoffe of Bishop's Falls. She was 86 years of age. She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Olivia; husband, Alfred; son, David; brothers, Lloyd (Hilda), John (Georgie), Lewis (Alice), Wallace (WWII Vet.) and Freeman (WWII Vet.); sisters, Pheobe Budgell and Evelyn (Jack) Budgell. HOLLETT, Morgan

It is with great sadness that the family of Morgan Hollett announce his passing at the Carmelite House on September 6, 2011 at the age of 69. Morgan was born in Burin, NL. He was a member of the United Church and retired from NL Hydro. Morgan's friends knew him for his quick wit and giving heart. He was truly a gentle giant and the best father, brother, grandfather, and husband a family could have. Morgan was predeceased by his parents, John and Jennie Hollett; father-in-law, Joseph Periera; mother-in-law, Margaret Periera; brother-in-law, Joe Periera; and step-father, Victor Burton. Left with fond and loving memories is his devoted wife, Mae Hollett; son, Dion (Joy) Hollett of Uxbridge, ON; and daughter, Cathy (James) Hudson of St. Philip's NL. It is with great sadness that the families of the late Linda Madonna Hynes announce her passing on September 10, 2011 at the Central Newfound-land Regional Health Centre, aged 61. Linda was a sister, aunt, a devoted teacher, a very loving caring person, and a friend to many. Linda retired from a teaching career at the District 5 (Baie Verte Central Connaigre) School System. Linda is predeceased by her parents, Louis (1974) and Lillian (1976); brothers, John and Kevin; and nephew, Jeffery Brown. Linda leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories sisters, Rose (Reg) Brown of Corner Brook, NL, Helen (John) Picco of Smith Fall's, Ontario, Mary (Dan) Cutler of St. John's, NL, Madeline (Harvey) of Labrador City, NL, and Catherine (Guy)Saunders of Labrador City, NL; brothers, Patrick (Carmel) of Conception Bay South, NL, Louis of St. John's, NL, and Brian (Nicole) of Winnipeg, MB; 17 nephews and nieces, and 14 great-nephews and nieces; especially Pauline and Lloyd Hiscock, Donny Budgell, and Tiffany Penny and family; as well as an extended family and a large circle of pass colleagues and friends. It is with sadness that the family of the late Eugene Patrick Kelly announce his passing at the St. Clare's Mercy Hospital in St. John's on September 13, 2011, at the age of 63. Eugene was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the United Association Local 740. He retired as a Pipe Fitter in 2002. Eugene was predeceased by his parents, Frederick Kelly and Hetty Kelly (Bernard). Left with fond and loving memories are his loving wife Mari; sons, Eugene (Charlene) of NB, Terry (Darci) of Calgary, AB, and Jamie (Vanessa) of Ft. McMurray, AB; and daughter, Jodi (Brian) Dodge of Mount Pearl, NL. KELLY, Scott David - Left this earthly bandstand for a gig in a bigger and better venueScott David Kelly at the age of 39 years. Scott was a loving husband to LuAnne (Rose) and an adoring and doting father to his children Luke (12 years) Lillith (10 years) and Charlie (6 years). Passed away on September 1, 2011 Leonard Arthur William Stroud at the age of 51. Predeceased by his parents, Albert (Bert) & Ivy and brothers, Albert & Gordon. Left to mourn are his wife, Sharlene; daughters, Sabrina (Travis) Nippard, Melissa and Samatha. Also leaving to mourn sisters, Jenny, Betty, Peggy, Christina, Judy, Sharon, Deborah, Cynthia, Brenda and Bonny; brothers, John, Raymond, Baxter, Terry, Gary, Derek and Dale; two grandchildren and a large number of other relatives and friends. Rev. Glenn Small conducted funeral service from St. Alban's Anglican Church on Saturday, September 3 at 2 pm. Interment was at St. Alban's Anglican Cemetery, Caribou Road, Grand Falls-Windsor. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Homes Grand Falls-Windsor. Pallbearers were Trevor Sweeney, Felix Baker, Edward Walsh, Dave Hillier, Robert Vaters and Earle Penney. Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Center, St. John's on September 15th 2011 Bernice Lillian Vineham Clouter age 71 years. Predeceased by parents, Leonard and Emily Vineham. Left with loving memories are her husband, Wallace; son, Craig (Wanda) of Halifax, NS. Daughters, Rosalyn (Ernest) Leyte of Rocky Mountain House, AB., Edwina (Allan) Osmond of Fort McMurray, AB.; brothers, Terry (Angela) of Botwood, Bruce (Cindy) of Botwood, Gil (Donna) of Moncton, NB., Wallace (Jean) of Botwood, John of Charlottetown, PEI.; sisters, Joan of Botwood, Shirley (Claude) House of Gander, Wavey (Ed) Evans of Botwood, Rita of Corwall, ON.; . grandchildren, Amy, Courtney, Christopher, Shakira, Chad, Chelsea, Stephen, Cassidy; great-grandchildren, Brady, Jayden, Rylan, Keyaira, Neveah, Kingston, Grace, Kate, Julie. Also a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander. Funeral Service was held Monday September 19th from Fraser Road United Church, Gander. Interment was at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the H. WAUGH, Edna
Born: August 26th, 1941
Passed on: September 1st, 2011
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edna Jean Waugh announces her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on September 1, 2011 at the age of 70 years. Edna was born in Greenspond, NL. She moved to Grand Falls-Windsor where she met and married Dave Waugh 52 years ago. Edna was predeceased by her parents, Frances & Joseph Parsons; oldest son, David Shawn (2004); and brother, Edgar (1999). Left with fond and loving memories is her husband, David; her sons, Gary (Edith) of Grand Falls-Windsor, Keith (Neung) of Thailand, Roger (Karen) of Grand Falls-Windsor; and her daughter Kathy (Greg) Snow of Bishop's Falls. Edna also leaves to mourn her sisters, Geraldine (Jim), Pauline (Lloyd), Jessie (Don), and Gertie (Jerry); grandchildren, Stephen, Stephanie, Tammy, Natasha, Jonathan, and Praym; great-grandchildren, Gillian, Kaileigh, and Cameron; sister-in-law, Gail; and a large circle of other family and many friends. Rev. Randy Lockyer conducted the funeral service at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church on Tuesday, September 6th, at 2pm. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery on Union Street. Pallbearers were Stephen Waugh, Edith Waugh, John Waugh, Greg Snow, Roger Waugh, and Lloyd Hiscock. Funeral arran-gements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes. WOODMORE, Henry
Born: August 6th, 1920

It is with sadness that the families of the late Henry James Woodmore announce his passing on September 22, 2011 at the Carmelite Seniors Home, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, aged 91. Henry is predeceased by his wife, Catherine; parents, James and Mabel; brother, Morris; and sister, Elsie Mayfield. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are daughter, Dianne of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; grandchildren, Jason Power of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, and Heather (Jamie Vineham) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; brother, Sidney of New York; and sister, Edith Smith of Georgia; as well as a large number of nieces and nephews relatives and friends. The visitation took place Friday, September 23, 2011 at 7-9 pm and Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 2-4 and 7-9 pm from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service for family and close friends took place Sunday, September 25, 2011 at 2 pm from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Flowers greatly accepted.
