BROWNE, William "Bill" Patrick
Date of Birth: Wednesday, August 29th, 1923
Date of Death: Monday, October 7th, 2013

The family of the late William Patrick Browne announce his death at the Central Newfoundland Regional Hospital on October 7th, 2013 at the age of 90. In 1943, William took his first degree and as of 2013, he was the longest serving member of the Knights of Columbus, having served 70 years. Dad was predeceased by his wife Clara; daughter Maureen; parents Philip and Phelomena; sister Loretto and brothers Gerard, Rex, Gordon, Kevin and Otto. Left with great memories are sons Cas, Terry, Tony, Ron, Chris, Bill, Philip, Brendan; daughter Catherine and brother Casimir (St. John's). He was also proud to have 21 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a large circle of nephews, nieces and friends.
Many thanks Dad for a life well lived. Godspeed.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to either the Canadian Diabetes Association , CNIB or the South and Central Health Foundation. Father William Hearn will conduct the funeral mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 11:00 am. Interment will be at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Union Street. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.

FUDGE, Meta Marion
Date of Birth: Monday, November 27th, 1922
Date of Death: Monday, October 21st, 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Meta Fudge announce her passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale on October 21, 2013 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her husband Bernard Fudge and son Kevin Fudge. Left with fond and loving memories is her sons - Bruce Fudge (Beverly) of Roberts Arm, John Fudge (Betty-Lou) of Brighton, Ben Fudge (Dawn) of Brighton, Charlie Fudge (Sherri) of Echo Bay, On; and daughter Suzanne Rideout (Hedley) of Roberts Arm. Also leaving to mourn one sister, Stella Wiseman; 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Rev. William Matchem conducted the funeral service from Central Funeral Homes in Springdale on October 23, 2013. Interment was at the Interfaith Cemetery in Brighton. Pallbearers were her sons Ben Fudge, John Fudge, granddaughters Krista Fudge, Nancy Colbourne, Lorelei Fudge and nephew Steadman Ryan. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes. HEAD, Herbert Warren
Date of Birth: Monday, August 18th, 1930
Date of Death: Thursday, October 31st, 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Herbert Head announce his passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale on October 31, 2013 at the age of 83. Herb was a member of AOTS United Church of Canada Men's Fellowship Group. He retired from Green Bay Wholesalers. He was predeceased by his wife Doreen Head (nee Young). Left with fond and loving memories is his sons Terry (Evelyn) of Fort McMurray and Ricky (Wendy) of Moncton, NB; daughters Shirley (Stuart Reid) of Ottawa and Ella (Chris Hurley) of Tumbler Ridge, BC. Also leaving to mourn his sister Florence Drover, 6 grandchildren and a large circle of nephews, nieces, cousins and family friends. Rev. Wilson Gonese conducted the funeral service from the Grace United Church in Springdale on November 3, 2013. Interment was at the United Cemetery in Springdale. Pallbearers were Ricky Head, Terry Head, Jerry Brett, John Head, Barry Head, Gerald Head, Matthew Head and Tony Drover. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

HOUSE, Gordon Michael
Date of Birth: Thursday, December 15th, 1949

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gordon Michael House announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center in Grand Falls-Windsor on October 28, 2013 at the age of 63. Predeceased by parents Gordon and Elizabeth House and brother Gary. Left with fond and loving memories are wife Judy and daughter Paula (Rodney) Brace of St. John's. Also leaving to mourn are granddaughter Kendra; sister Rosemary (David Mercer); brothers Don (Heather) House, Paul (Paula) House; nieces Heather and Jessica; nephews Robert and Jesse; sisters-in-law Barbara (Ralph) Randell, Sandra Mills, Marion (Edmund) Barnes, Louise (Michael) Shallow, and a large circle of family and friends. Father William Hearn will conduct the funeral at the Central Funeral Homes Chapel in Grand Falls-Windsor on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. Pallbearer will be his brother Paul House. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Michael Goodyear of Central Funeral Homes. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in his memory to the Chrons's and Colitis Foundation or to a charity of ones' choice.

RICKETTS, Thomas Richard
Date of Birth: Saturday, April 6th, 1929
Date of Death: Monday, October 14th, 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Thomas Richard Ricketts announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center in Grand Falls-Windsor on October 14, 2013 at the age of 84. Thomas was a member of St. Peter's Anglican Church. He retired from the Department of Transportation after 21 years of service. Predeceased by spouse Amanda; sister Anne; brothers Leslie and Alexander and daughter-in-law Patsy. Left with fond and loving memories are sons Tom Ricketts (Amanda Cave) of Grand Falls-Windsor, Philip Ricketts of Grand Falls-Windsor and daughters Ivy (Charles) Crewe of Hermitage, Bonnie Ricketts-Budden (Tony Budden) of Fort McMurray, Alberta and Pansy (Craig) Simms of Fort McMurray, Alberta. Also leaving to mourn are brothers Edmund, Abraham and Grogan Ricketts; sisters Dulcie Hewitt, Louise Osmond, Sophia Squires and Lillian Decker; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Reverend Harris will conduct the funeral service at the St. Peter's Anglican Church on Thursday, October 17, 2013. Interment will be at the St. Peter's Cemetery. Pallbearers are Byron Simms, Craig Simms, Freeman Crewe, Brad Simms, Braydon Cave and Charlie Crewe. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.

SAUNDERS, Margaret (Rose)
Date of Birth: Monday, August 20th, 1945
Date of Death: Sunday, October 27th, 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rose Saunders announce her passing at the Green Bay Health Center in Springdale on October 27, 2013 at the age of 68. Rose was a member of the Salvation Army Home League. Rose retired from Cape Bald Packers and custodian at Indian River High. She was predeceased by her parents, John & Blanche Campbell and her brother, Pearce Campbell. Left with fond and loving memories is her husband Rexford Saunders and her daughters: Deanna Saunders (Jeff) of Springdale, Kimberly Saunders of St. John's, Paula Burton (Ivan) of Windsor, ON and Sue Budgell (Dean) of Cappele, NB. Also leaving to mourn her three sisters - Pauline Anthony of Marathon, On., Phyllis Colbourne (Morris) of Deer Lake and Kathy Perry (Earl) of Burlington; Grandchildren - Timothy, Jaden, April & Dontai; Sisters-in-law - Patricia Campbell of Robert's Arm and Lovelett Borden (George) of Dartmouth; nieces and nephews as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Majors Colin & Jacqueline Abbott conducted the funeral service from the Salvation Army Citadel in Springdale on October 31, 2013. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery in Springdale. Pallbearers were Jeff Saunders, Earl Perry, Morris Colbourne, Vicki Sheppard, Thelma Rowsell, and Johnny Colbourne. Honorary pallbearer was Tad Perry. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

WELLS, Hilda Eliza
Date of Birth: Monday, September 4th, 1922
Date of Death: Monday, October 28th, 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hilda Wells announce her passing at her home in Badger on October 28, 2013 at the age of 91. Predeceased by her husband Fred Wells. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons Sterling (Bernice) of Badger, Brian (Sherran) of Waterloo, Ontario; daughters Marjorie of Badger, and Pearl (Junior) of Badger. Also leaving to mourn are Shirley (Edgar) Arnold, Pearl (Charles) Seaward, Gary (Evelyn) Saunders, Ross (Alice) Saunders; step-brothers Don (Lauretta) Luff, Willis (Violet) Luff; Olive Pynn, Viola King, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Pastor Young conducted the funeral service at the Faith Covant on November 1, 2013. Interment was at the Badger Pentecostal. Pallbearers were Paul Stuckless, Chad Stuckless, Jamie Eveleigh, Mark Eveleigh, Dave Dwyer and Cory Collins. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Mike Goodyear of Central Funeral Homes.
