BUTT, Benjamin G. W.
1920-2014

Passed peacefully away on March 24, 2014 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center in the presence of his family, Benjamin Butt, age 93 years. Predeceased by parents Herbert and Dora Butt. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Myrtle of 58 years; sons Gilbert (Debbie) and Guy; daughter Gillian; grandchildren Teri-Lynn, Zack Parrell, Ashley, and Stephanie. Also leaving to mourn special cousins Gilbert Butt, Edward Small, Beulah Gruchy, Rose Whiteway and a large circle of family and friends. Ben was a member of the United Church Men's Choir and Senior Choir for many years. He worked for Canada Post in Grand Falls as assistant postmaster for 35 years. The Funeral Service will be conducted from the United Memorial Church on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery in Grand Falls-Windsor. Pallbearers will be Gilbert Butt, Guy Butt, Ashley Butt, Stephanie Butt, Teri-Lynn Butt and Zack Parrell. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Mike Goodyear of Central Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Memorial United Church in Grand Falls-Windsor

MILLEY, CORA ROWENA (BURT)
May 15th, 1938 - March 19th, 2014

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cora Milley, age 75, announce her passing at the Grand Falls Central Regional Hospital on Wednesday, March 19th, 2014. Left with fond and loving memories are her husband Alfred Milley; children: Dawson Milley (Renee) of St. John's, Claudine Gagne of King's Point, Barbara Melnychuk (Rick) of McBride, BC, Doborah Winsor (Wint) of Winnipeg, MB; Grandchildren Dawn, Devon, Lee, Ashley, Cora, Sasha, Sandi and Amber; great grandchildren Carmen Rose, Treydon, Tyson, Seth, Isaiah, Peter, Natalie, Matthew, Andrew and Kade; brothers Dudley Burt (Phyllis), Wallace Burt (Greta), and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Wallace Burt, Dudley Burt, Bradley Burt, Leon Burt, Ira Bowers, Morris Noble, Don Maye and Ken Goodyear. OXFORD, THELMA G.
1921 - 2014

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Thelma G. Oxford announce her passing at the Green Bay Health Center in Springdale on March 19, 2014 at the age of 92. Thelma was a member of the Salvation Army Corps. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford, sister Marie, brother Ronald, son-in-law Jim, great granddaughter Alanna. Left with fond and loving memories is her 3 sons: Clyde (Wavey) of Springdale, Elmo (Brenda) of Lloydminster and Ivan (Susan) of Victoria, BC; daughters: Shirley (Elmo Jenkins) of Springdale, Linda (Alonzo Young) of Springdale, Emma (Bert Boone) of Springdale and Marilyn (Maurice Blackler) of Grand Falls-Windsor. Also leaving to mourn 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, special friends Phyllis Wiseman, Gwennie England; caregivers Paula Payne and Glenda Inder. Majors Colin and Jacqueline Abbott conducted the funeral service from Central Funeral Home in Springdale on Sunday, March 23, 2013. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery in Springdale. Pallbearers were her sons Clyde, Elmo and Ivan, brother-in-law Wincel, nephew Terry Green and grandson Todd Young. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes. YOUNG, Marie Gertrude
September 22, 1929 - March 28, 2014

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marie G. Young (nee Clarke) announces her passing at the Green Bay Healthcare Center in Springdale on March 28, 2014 at the age of 84. Marie was a faithful member of the Springdale Pentecostal Church. She was a long time participant and founding president of the TOPS chapter in Springdale. Marie retired from Discount Mart Ltd. as manager in 1994 after 25 years of service. She was predeceased by her sister Viola Bath, her brother George Clarke; and her loving husband Pierce of 57 years in 2009. Left with fond and loving memories are her sisters- Betty (John Winsor), Ruby (Jacob Thomas); Brothers-in-law - Sandy (Doreen) Young, Cecil (Juanita) Young, Cameron (Golda) Young; Sisters-in-law-Doris (Lester Bowers), Hope (Leslie Cole), Marie Bennett, Queen Bennett, Phyllis (Glenn Carlson), Breta Young. Marie also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Pastors Lindsey Foster and Norman Joy will conduct the funeral service from the Pentecostal Church in Springdale on March 31, 2014. Interment will be at the Pentecostal Cemetery in Springdale. Pallbearers are Orman Clarke, Dwight Winsor, Pauline Hustins, Danny Winsor, Trevor Young and Conrad Oxford. Honourary pallbearers are Neil Wiseman and Roger Young. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
