AU, Barry Lee
1959 - 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Barry Lee Au announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center in Grand Falls-Windsor at the age of 53. Barry was a member or the Memorial United Church. He was predeceased by his father, Hiland Lee Au. Left with fond and loving memories are his sons, Daniel Au (Tonya Bursey) of Grand Falls-Windsor and Dailen Au of Markham, Ontario and daughters, Dana Au (Craig Langdon) of Grand Falls-Windsor and Diana Au of Markham, Ontario. Also leaving to mourn are his mother Mayu Lee Au; brothers, Alexander Lee Au and Colin Lee Au; sisters Delphine Kay and Emily Lee Au and grandchildren, Owen Payne, Carson Langdon and Chloe Chan. Reverend Kim Waite will conduct the funeral service at the Memorial United Church on June 28, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. Interment will be at the Interfaith Cemetery. Pallbearers are Daniel Au, Dailen Au, Alexander Lee Au, Spencer Au, Colin Lee Au and Craig Langdon. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Mike Goodyear of Central Funeral Homes.

CORBIN, Martin Joseph
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Martin J. Corbin announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center in Grand Falls-Windsor on June 8, 2013 at the age of 83. Martin Corbin was a member of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Grand Falls-Windsor. He retired from Abitibi in 1990. Predeceased by parents, John and Elizabeth Corbin; daughter, Maxine; daughters in law, Marlene and Darlene; sisters, Bride Dartt, Theresa Mulrooney, Mary Hanlon and brothers, William Corbin, Johnny Corbin, Kevin Corbin and Pat Corbin. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Stella and sons, Brian of Grand Falls-Windsor, Don (Joan) of Grand Falls-Windsor, Gordon of Grand Falls-Windsor and Gerard of Grand Falls-Windsor. Also leaving to mourn brother, Michael; sister Dorothy Archer; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Father William Hearn conducted the funeral service at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. Interment was at the Roman Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brian Corbin, Gordon Corbin, Gerard Corbin, Gregory Corbin, Peter Corbin and Brent Watton. Honorary pallbearer was Donald Corbin. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Mike Goodyear of Central Funeral Homes.

FLOOD, Ann Marie Patricia
March 17, 1968 - June 8, 2013

It is with sadness that the family of the late Ann Marie Flood announces her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls Windsor, NL at the age 45 years. Ann Marie is predeceased by: her son, David; Maternal grandparents, Otto & Annie Collett; paternal grandfather, Edward Flood. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are: daughter, Kayla; sons, Raymond & Ryan; parents, Kevin & Ruth Flood; grandmother, Nell Flood; partner, Allan Martin; brother, Cory (Cheryl); best friend, Carolyn Patey-Cooke; as well a large number of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. The public visitation took place Monday, June 10, 2013 at 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. The funeral service took place June 11, 2013 at 2 pm from St. Alban's Anglican Church with Rev. Randy Lockyer officiating. The interment took place at the Anglican Cemetery, Caribou Road, Grand Falls Windsor, NL. Donations in her memory were made to the family. Pallbearers: John Collett, Mark Collett, Doug Mercer, Matthew Noel, Peter Collett, & Dennis Barker. Honorary Pallbearer: Carolyn Patey-Cooke. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls Windsor, NL.

GREEN, Bernice Juanita Ilene
1937 - 2013

It is with profound sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of their beloved mother, grandmother, sister and daughter, Bernice Juanita Ilene Green of Bishop's Falls, at the Central NL Regional Health Care Centre on June 25, 2013 at the age of 76. Bernice was born and raised in Botwood, by her parents Alma and Alex Rowe. She later moved to Bishop's Falls where she met and married Harvey Green, on November 5, 1957. They had three children together, Harvey, Susan and Jason. Bernice worked at the King's Arm Club for most of her life. Later she became a cook for several businesses in town until her retirement in the early 90's. Since her retirement, Bernice spent most of her time with her family in Bishop's Falls and Botwood, and travelling between Alberta and Nova Scotia to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Harvey Green; mother Alma Rowe; brother Edmund Rowe; parents-in-law, Gordon and Edna Green; son-in-law Tony Brothers, sister-in-law Margaret Green, and half brother Raymond Tilley. Left to mourn her passing are: sons Harvey (Sharon) and Jason; daughter Susan Brothers; seven grandchildren: Krystle-Lee, Harvey Jr., Jillian, Matthew, Olivia, Paul and Kurt; one great grandchild, Sierra and a very special companion Robert (Bob) Smith. Also left to mourn are: her father Alex Rowe; sisters,: Margaret Mentzel, Plena Pelley (Dan), Shirley (Dan) Dillion, Vera (Lloyd) Mitchell, Judy (Ransey) Mitchell, Carolann Rowe-Langdon; brothers: Eric (Donna) and Gerald Rowe; sister-in-law Glennie (Gerald) Stuckless as well as: sisters-in-law Marjorie (Ron) Penney and Belle (Harold) Pelley; brother-in-law Chesley Green; and a circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Pastor Barry Pelley will conduct the funeral service at Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle on Sunday, June 30th at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Bond Street, Bishop's Falls. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home, Bishop's Falls.

HENNESSEY, Edward R.
1937 - 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edward (Ted) Hennessey announce his passing at the Health Science Center in St. Johns on June 26, 2013 at the age of 75. Ted was a member of the CEP Local 88. He retired from Abitibi in 1994. Ted was Predeceased by his wife Alice and his son Peter. Left with fond and loving memories are his sons, Ted (Lisa) of Calgary, Alberta, Brian (Kim) of Grand Falls-Windsor, Philip (Lori) or Grand Falls-Windsor and David of Calgary, Alberta; and daughters, Maureen (Ted) Down of Grand Falls-Windsor, Tina (Paul) Brake of Enfield, Nova Scotia and Debbie (Warren) O'Brien of Calgary, Alberta. Also leaving to mourn are his brother, Butch; 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a large circle of family of friends. Father William Hearn will conduct the funeral mass at the Cathedral of The Immaculate Conception on June 29, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Grand Falls-Windsor. Pallbearer will be friend and brother-in-law, Ron Rose. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Michael Goodyear of Central Funeral Homes.

PAYNE, Annie Sarah
1925 - 2013
Passed peacefully away on Saturday June 22, 2013, Annie S. Payne at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Center, Botwood. She was 87 years of age. She leaves to mourn her husband William; sons Roy, Calvin, Perry (Roxanne); sister Louise; grandchildren Tyran, Trevor, Terry; great-grandchildren Ethan, Amber and a circle of other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Interment to follow on July 2, 2013 at the Salvation Army cemetery, Pt. Leamington with Majors Arley and Darlene Masters officiating.

POND, Jean
Jean (Hiscock) Pond
, Gander, passed away suddenly on June 10, 2013, in her 89th year. Former resident of Grand Falls and Eastport. Predeceased by husband, James, sons James, Munden, and Leslie. Brothers Henry and William. Left to mourn sons, Roger, David (Tannis), Robert (Lynn), Barbara (David) Dunphy, Vera (Michael) Hanlon. Daughters-in-law Wilma, Shirley and Sharon. Brothers Oliver and Arthur (Barbara). Sisters Clarice (Patrick) Callahan, and Gladys Mercer. Sisters-in-law Audrey and Norma. 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, relatives and friends. Funeral took place on June 15, 2013, from Holy Cross Anglican Church, Eastport, NL. In memory of Jean donation may be made to your charity of choice.

POPE, Cecil Franklin
September 16, 1957 - June 24, 2013

It is with sadness that the family of the late Cecil F. Pope announces his passing at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Centre, Botwood, NL at the age of 55 years. Cecil is predeceased by his parents, Malcolm & Carrie Pope; brother, Ronald; brother-in-law, Cecil Mills; father-in-law, Stuart Mills. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are: his wife, Joyce; son, Jeffrey (Diane) ; daughter, Debbie; grandchildren, Nicholas, Kiara, Noah, & Lucy; brothers, Frazer (Hurlet), & Harold (Jean); sister; Elsie (Ted); mother-in-law, Lucy Mills; brothers-in-law, Raymond (Patricia) Mills, Bob (Margaret), Bruce (Ivy); sisters-in-law, Ruth (Mervin), Margaret (Jim), Barbara (Raymond), Colleen Mills, Janet Pope; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The public visitation took place Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm from Botwood Funeral Home, 147 Commonwealth Drive, Botwood, NL. The funeral service took place, Thursday June 27, 2013 at 2 pm from Jubilee Pentecostal Temple, Botwood, NL, with Pastors Fraser Roberts & Elaine Rideout officiating. Interment followed at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Botwood, NL. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home.

ROSE, Ray
1935 - 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Raymond Rose announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center in Grand Falls-Windsor on June 15, 2013 at the age of 77 years. Raymond retired from Newfoundland Armature Works in Sales. Predeceased by parents, William and Amelia Rose and sister, Mildred Young. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Simone Rose; son, Richard Rose of Iqaluit, North West Territories and daughter, Karen (Jeff) Ivany of Churchill Falls Labrador. Also leaving to mourn are brother, Gordon; sisters, Marie, Theresa, Eileen and Clara; grandchildren, Ashley, Shane and Robbie, Myalia and Joshua; 3 great-grandchildren and special friends Trease and Dave, Jean and Lindy, Mary and Bill, Shirley and Bill, Pat Farr, Wilson and Wavey Hurley. Father William Hearn conducted the funeral service at the Cathedral of The Immaculate Conception on June 19, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. Interment was at the Interfaith Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeff Ivany, Shane Ivany, Rick Rose, Pat Farr, Dave Furlong and Gordon Rose. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
