HEAD, Dorothy
Passed peacefully away at the A.M. Guy Memorial Hospital, Buchans on Monday, February 3rd, 2014 Dorothy (Ruth) Head, age 80 years. Predeceased by Francis (Pop) Power, Lucy (Nolen) Power, brothers Douglas (Beatrice), Cyril (Ursula), Lawrence (Marg), sisters Columba (William Chaplin), Kathleen (Cyril Vieteh), and Mary (William Hunt). Left to mourn with loving memories are her husband Kevin, sons Kevin (Diana) of Calgary, AB; Robert (Janet) of Fort McMurray, AB; grandchildren David, Jennifer, Mary, Robyn, Heidi, Ashley, great grandchildren Peyton, Sofia, Noah, Savannah, Addyson, Autumn and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Buchans. Funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 6th at 2:00 P.M. Interment followed at the Buchans Community Cemetery. WALSH, Malcolm (Mac) Roderick
Passed away peacefully after a long illness at the age of 85 years, Malcolm Roderick Walsh at the A.M. Guy Health Care Centre, Buchans, NL on February 26, 2014. Predeceased by parents Frederick J. and Annie Walsh (Wells); sisters: Marjorie, June, and Patricia. Leaving to mourn his loving and caring wife Elizabeth; daughters Susan (Colin Mercer) and Lori; grandsons: Philip and Kristian; and granddaughter: Kara Jordan. Also sisters: Mae (Ron Ferry), Elizabeth Emilson and Barbara (Sterling Brown); brother: Garfield (Sally); brothers-in-law: Mark Hiscock (Patsy); Ralph Hiscock (Ethel); Gary Hiscock (Mary Blanche); sisters-in-law: Annie Cluett and Joan Tilley. Also a large number of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Mac worked as a painter and carpenter at ASARCO all of his working career. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved nature. He was very talented as an artist and carver. Funeral service was held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at Buchans Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Buchans United Church Memorial Fund
