BUDGELL, Albert George - Passed peacefully away on Feb.
5, 2009 at the
Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor,
Albert George Budgell of Botwood. He was 81 years of age. Mr. Budgell
retired from Abitibi Price in 1989. Predeceased by his wife, Margaret;
parents, Albert and Julia Budgell; sisters, Florence and Bernice; brother,
Eric. Left to mourn are sons, Tony (Gail) of White Court, AB, Shon, Acton,
ON; daughters, Marlene (Wayne Dean), of Bobby's Cove, Debbie (Jerry Fudge)
of Point Leamington, Connie (Wilbert Chayter) of Ajax, ON. Also leaving
to mourn are 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Delphine
Thompson, Bonnie Sceviour (Bob); brother, Arch Budgell (Marie) and a
large circle of other relatives and friends. Major Dinzel Baggs conducted
funeral services at The Salvation Army Citadel, Botwood on Sunday, Feb.
8, 2009. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Botwood. Funeral
arrangements were entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home, Botwood. Pallbearers
were son, Shon Budgell; brother, Arch Budgell; sons-in-law, Wayne Dean,
Jerry Fudge and Wilbert Chayter; grandson, Anthony Fudge.
LYNCH, Mary Phoebe - Passed peacefully away on Feb.
4, 2009 at the Carmelite
House, Grand Falls-Windsor, Mary Phoebe Lynch. She was 75 years of age.
Mrs. Lynch retired from Central Nfld. Hospital in 1990. Predeceased by
her husband, Dominic; daughter, Cathy; parents, John and Elsie Butler;
brothers, Harry, Ron, Ernest, Garfield, John; sisters, Mable and Alice.
Left to mourn are sons, Donald (Linda) of Grand Falls-Windsor, Wayne
(Cynthia), of Grand Falls-Windsor, William (Ann-Marie) of Greenwood,
NS, Sean (wife, Lisa) of Labrador City, Paul (Susanna), of Grand Falls-Windsor;
daughters Marion (Mackenzie) of Fall River, NS and Rose-Ann (David);
14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn are sister,
Kathleen Parsons and brothers, William and Lawrence Butler and a large
circle of other relatives and friends. Father William Houlahan conducted
funeral services at St. Joseph's Parish, Grand Falls-Windsor on Feb.
6, 2009. Interment was at the St. Joseph's Cemetery. Funeral arrangements
were entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home, Grand Falls-Windsor. Pallbearers
are Don, Wayne, Bill, Sean, Paul Lynch and David Horwood.
LYVER, John Patrick - Passed peacefully away February
6, 2009, at the
Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Care Centre, Botwood, John Patrick Lyver. Mr.
Lyver retired from the Canadian Armed Forces in 1982 and was a member
of The Black Watch of Canada Assoc. and the Royal Canadian Legion. Predeceased
by parents Edward and Ethel; sisters, Bernice Miller, Marie Duval; brother,
Charles; brother-in-law, Kevin Day. Left to mourn are sons, John Lyver
(wife, Zelia) of Ontario, David Lyver (wife, Lise) of Ontario; daughters,
Bernice (husband, Gerry Kyle) of Ontario and Joanne (husband, Mike Bettonville)
of Ontario. Also leaving to mourn sisters, Joan Lyver and Irene Day;
brothers-in-law, James Miller and Tom Duval; brothers, Gower, Frank (Nancy),
Edward (Sandra), Archie (Sheila), Dennis (Ada), Jim; 11 grandchildren
and a large circle of relatives and friends. Memorial services were conducted
by Father Linus Coady at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church,
Botwood, Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009. Funeral arrangements were by Hoskins
Funeral Home, Botwood, NL. Pallbearer was brother, Jim Lyver.
PELLEY, Doris Ethel - Passed peacefully away on Feb.
7, 2009 at the
James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Doris Ethel Pelley of Bishop's
Falls. She was 88 years of age. Mrs. Pelley was a member of The Salvation
Army YPSM, Girl Guides, Songsters Home League and League of Mercy. Predeceased
by her husband, Harold; parents, Stephen and Ethel Deering; brothers,
Harry, Allan, John; sister, Elizabeth; sister-in-law, Myrtle Deering
and Hazel Deering; brother-in-law, John Pretty. Left to mourn are sons,
Gordon (Beverley) of Bishop's Falls, Allan of Bishop's Falls; grandchildren,
Stephen, Jennifer and Scotty. Also leaving to mourn sister, Grace (Gerald)
Brown; brother, Edgar Deering; sister-in-law, Jane Deering and a large
circle of other relatives and friends. Majors Don and Karen Feltham conducted
funeral service at The Salvation Army Citadel, Bishop Falls on Tuesday,
February 10, 2009. Interment followed at The Salvation Army Cemetery,
Bishop's Falls. Funeral arrangements were by Hoskins Funeral Home, Bishop's
Falls. Pallbearers were sons, Gordon and Allan; grandson, Stephen; family
members, Clarence King, Don Pelley and Peter Deering. Honorary pallbearers
were Gerald Brown, Helen King and Thelma Green.
SHEA, Austin - It is with great sadness that the family of the late
Austin Shea announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional
Health Center in Grand Falls-Windsor on February 1, 2009, at the age
of 83. Austin is retired from Beothuck Provincial Park as park officer.
Predeceased by his father, Jack; mother, Edith; daughter, Ann and brother,
Ed. Left with fond and loving memories are his spouse, Mary Shea; sons,
Paul (Marie) of Grand Falls-Windsor; John (Barbara) of Grand Falls-Windsor;
Peter (Pamela) of Bishop's Falls; and daughter, Patricia Hynes (Derek)
of Grand Falls-Windsor. Also leaving to mourn are grandchildren, David,
Ann, Tiffany, Sammy Jo, Liam, Matthew and Rielly. Father Coady conducted
the funeral service at the Sacred Heart Church on February 4, 2009. Interment
was at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Bishop's Falls. Pallbearers were
Paul Shea, John Shea, Peter Shea, Derek Hynes, Des O'Reilly and Jo O'Reilly.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Mike Goodyear of Central Funeral
Homes.
STUCKLESS, Otto Gordon - Passed peacefully away February
1, 2009 Otto Gordon Stuckless of Point Leamington at the Central Newfoundland Regional
Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor. He was 75 years of age. Predeceased
by parents, James and Flora Stuckless, stepfather, Levi Hobbs, father-in-law,
Fred Brett, brother, Arthur Stuckless. Left to mourn are wife, Audrey;
sons, Jim, Kevin and Brian; daughter Nadine Stuckless (Albert Temple)
of Northern Arm. Also leaving to mourn, mother-in-law, Francis Brett;
sisters Pearl Andrews (Lorenzo), Joselyn Woodworth (Robert); brothers,
Calvin (Ruby), Donald (Betty), Tony (Linda); four grandchildren, James,
Nicole, Britany Stuckless and Tyler Temple and a large circle of other
relatives and friends. Captain Richard and Trudy Mouland conducted funeral
services at The Salvation Army Citadel, Point Leamington on Feb. 4, 2009.
Interment was at Salvation Army Cemetery, Point Leamington. Funeral arrangements
were by Hoskins Funeral Home, Botwood. Pallbearers were Brian Stuckless
(son), Tony Stuckless (brother), Harvey Brett (brother-in-law), and friends,
Bill Saunders, Alvin Warford and Ralph Paul.
