HUDSON, Edward Butt
1913 - 2013
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edward Butt Hudson announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center in Grand Falls-Windsor on April 28, 2013 at the age of 99. Edward was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion and the United Church. Predeceased by wife Elsie and first wife Marjorie; brother Charles and sister-in-law Hilda; granddaughter Terry-Lynn; and Nephew Edward of St. Georges. Left with fond and loving memories are step-sons, Bruce of Gander, Ronald (Ann) of St. John's and Kevin (Judy) of Ocala, Florida; step-daughter Karen (Mike) Wood of Ottawa, Ontario. Also leaving to mourn, grandchildren Daniel, Lauren, Krysta, Jessica, Caroline, Kenya, Sedrick; great granddaughter Chloe; Niece Barbara (Harry) Wooten of Washington State; Nephew David Hudson of St. Georges, NL and a large circle of great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends. Reverend Kimberley Waite conducted the funeral service at the Memorial United Church on May 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Interment was at the Interfaith Cemetery. Pallbearers were members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 12, Leo Murphy, Ray Power, Pat Melvin, Pierce Farrell, Dennis Cater and Joe Kennedy. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes
