Serving the Bay St. George area

 

PIEROWAY, John
Feb 22, 1975
There passed away in Carlisle, England on Feb 22th John Pieroway in his 68 year. Mr. Pieroway was born at St. Georges, son of Mr. & Mrs. Llewellyn Pieroway. During WW2 he served overseas in the Newfound Forestry Unit. He leaves to mourn one son Alistair, two daughters: Beulah & Minnie both in England, one brother Stanley, seven sisters: Mrs. Bertha Gaplin, Mrs. Nettie Culter, Mrs. Buelah Butt, Mrs. Mary Ward, Mrs. Sarah Cutler, Mrs. Garnett Dennis, all of St. Georges and Margaret McLean of Montreal, his wife Pre-deceased him many years ago.

SHEPPARD, Medrick Thomas
Feb - 1975

There passed away suddenly at the age of 61 Medrick Thomas Sheppard, of Shallop Cove. At the time of his death Mr. Sheppard was visiting his neighbour Walter White. Mr. Sheppard was born in Sandy Point son of Mr. & Mrs. Medrick Sheppard. In WW2 he served overseas with the Royal Navy for 5 ½ years. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife the former Elizabeth White, four sons: Clarence in Burlington Ontario Gerald, Toronto, Kevin in Shallop Cove, Calvin at Home, two daughters Louise in Toronto, Marie at home, One brother Joseph in Halifax, Agnes Predo in Port au Port, grandchildren and a large circle of relatives & friends. Funeral servives with a full Legion honours where conducted from St. Joseph’s RC church in St. Georges by Rev Father White on Feb 22nd, interments being in the RC Cemetery Shallop Cove.
