Andrews, Pearl and Allan (with picture)
Congratulations to Pear and Allan Andrews of Deer Lake on their 50^th Wedding Anniversary on August 27^th, 2008. Greetings from daughter Linda and granddaughter Amy in Barrie, ON. Their son Corey and girlfriend Stacey in Mississauga, ON. Their son Lawrence, wife Judy and Daniel in Jacksonville, Fl. Allan is from the Horse Islands and Pearl is a Bridger from Griquet. They met over 50 years ago while Allan was fishing in the Griquet area. The ocean has been a common theme in their lives, as they celebrated their 50^th with a cruise to the Western Caribbean with and courtesy of their children. Pearl and Allan now enjoy their time together by indulging in their favorite hobbies like cruising, berry picking and quilting among other things. Married in St. John's, July 11^th, 1947. Cliff is from Birchy Cove and Ruth was born in Elliston. Both were successful in work, formed many lasting friendships and created a wonderful, loving home (& cottage) for their 5 children, their spouses, and 11 grandchildren. A family dinner celebrating their 60 years was held in Bridgenorth, ON. Music and entertainment were provided by special guest, Newfoundland singer, Reg Benoit.
