50^th Wedding Anniversary
Ken and Joan (Pearce) Carter were married February 22^nd, 1954 at St. Mary's Church, Southside by the late Canon A.B.S. Stirling. Greetings from son Ken in St. John's, daughter Elizabeth in Middleton, NS; three grandsons, family and friends in NS & NL. Ken and Joan spent Christmas in St. John's this year and visit every year. They have been living in Nova Scotia since 1991, but hope to return home in a year or two.

Josie was employed at Earnest Harmon Air Force Base for many years, until they moved out of Stephenville, in the mid fifties, she worked in the officers barracks, until such time when the Air Base closed up. Fillier, Susie (nee Ford) (with picture)
Fillier Family in Ontario Celebrating a Special Birthday. On June 4^th, 2004, Susie (Ford) Fillier will be celebrating her 95^th birthday. Susie was born in Harbour Grace, NL to Thomas and Mary Ford. She moved to Bell Island in 1917, where she eventually meet and married John A. Fillier in 1929 (deceased 1983). On June 6^th, 2004 along with her fourteen children will gather at the Rexdale Legion Hall, ON., to meet family and friends to celebrate this joyous occasion. Attending will be her sister Mary O'Toole and family from Cambridge, Florence, Margaret, Shirley (from NS) and Harvey Anthony. Her nieces and nephew along with many friends of the family. Susie lives in Brampton, ON with her daughter Rosalind. She is a grandmother to 38 grandchildren, 85 great- grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Travelling from NL will be her son Ralph (Seal Cove), Nancy (Bell island), from NB her son Fred and from Edmonton her son Ron. The remaining family lives within a 25 mile radius to Brampton.
