MILLEY, Margaret (nee Bryant)
Note of Thanks
The family of the late Margaret Milley (Bryant) express our deep gratitude and sincere appreciation to all who helped in any way to alleviate the sorrow caused by the passing of a dear mother, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Words cannot express our gratitude for the many phone calls, sympathy cards, floral tributes, donations to her favorite charities and gifts of food from our wonderful friends. We thank our lifelong friends and neighbors, Lorenzo Bursey, Duke Milley, Mervin Milley, Tom Milley, Charles Rogers and Hayward Wicks for honoring her in your role as pallbearers. We extend a special thanks to our cousins Armorel and Russ Oliver for opening your home to us and providing us with comfort and sustenance during this difficult time, and to Bev and Bern Dalton for your continuing support and caring for the Milley family. We thank the ministers of the Gospel Hall and the participants of all faiths who helped us celebrate her fruitful life and those who provided food and fellowship after the service. We also thank Kenneth Noel, funeral director, and his colleagues, especially Ross Slade for your kindness, forethought and guidance. You made a very difficult time bearable. Although it is impossible to thank everyone individually, your thoughtfulness and acts of kindness will be long remembered and forever appreciated. The Milley Daughters and Sons and Spouses---Ontario. Sister Nellie Jerret - Heart's Delight. Sister-in-law Mildred Hancock---Burnt Point.

Williams, Walter Banks (with picture)
April 30th, 1912 - September 28th, 1974

The family of the late W.B. Williams is seeking your assistance in reclaiming some of our family history. Our father was born in St. John's to Mary and Walter Williams of 80 Circular Road, St. John's, Newfoundland. Walter and Mary operated a china shop on Duckworth Street, where City Hall stands today. If anyone has a picture of The Little Crockery Shop, we would love to hear from you. Walter, Jr. attended Bishop Field College, he had a brother Gordon and a sister Phyllis. Walter later went to Boston where he studied at the Radio Training School. We would like to hear from descendants of Walter McCoubrey of Boston, Massachusetts, who met and entertained Walter during his stay there, during the early 1930's. Walter returned to St. John's in 1932, and began to set up radio station VOCM, with his father and brother in the family home. His life's work was devoted to radio, travelling to Marystown, Gander, Grand Falls and Corner Brook, setting up and maintaining the various radio stations across the island. We would like to hear from friends, relatives, acquaintances and co-workers who would be willing to share their memories, stories and pictures with us. Write us at P.O. Box 1504, Manuels, Newfoundland, A1W 1E5.
